01 A Robotics Architecture for Future SpaceExploration |Research Thesis | DIA +TU DELFT [ Best Studio Project / 1 Project: MARS HAUS Nominated for Robert Oxman prize] Throughout the few decades, technologies had been tremendously growing better, allowing future long term space exploration more accessible in a hostile environment. Mars Mission which was one of the convincing proposal over the last century for humans space exploration due to the cogent evidences of elements to support life. Thus,a design solution is proposed to optimize a living habitat [MARHAUS] by the aid of robotics constructions on Earth and Mars. The focus of this research will be developing the possibilities of 3d printing with robotic arm by injecting biomimicry literation which will be beneficial into 2 phases of architecture process in a modular form :[ Phase01-On Earth ] developing lightweight architectural materials <manoeuvre membrane >to [ Phase2-On Mars] ISRU<in-situ resources utilization:Sand spray construction> extreme environment construction . Both phases will be synchronize and equally crucial as it will

be advantageous with one another .In addition, the aim of modular system design are to ready for future robotic mass production when the system are fully developed.

Design Parameters: Layers

DIA +TU DELFT

Inspiration :Manoeuvre Membrane

Membrane structure are dominanting now for space exploration due to its ease of construction and cost, unfortunately it can only withstand several decades more like to be a temporary structure.Plantae species always a fascination, especially their metabolic system compare to animalia species. They do not need a central core like animalia need a heart to create pressure to transport nutrients to the overall system but a more smart and economic system ,’Phloem & Xylem’ . Imagine that , it relate back to our technologies today, heavy engines and choatic wiring were still embedded in every machine which contribute much of the weight , what if we can improve it by looking back to plantae metabolic system inject into the structural membrane.

From the analysis of design parameters variation enable forming of mutiple layers to address different functions and circumstances for optimizing the overall architecture comfort level for future long term humans space mission. The layers are to be design smartly , compressing functions in a thin single layer instead of a mass and heavy mechanical machines .Therefore , biomimicry plays an important role in this layering design ,for instance a great nature references is the vascular system of plant from the roots to the leaf .Therefore each layer of membrane is design and generated according to revelant collective data. Integrated Matrix:Manoeuvre Membrane Texture

01 A Robotics Architecture for Future Space Exploration |Research Thesis 1 PHASE 2:ON MARS 01.1 Gap/WaterVolume:Radiation Shielding

Astronauts must be protected from two sources of radiation: [1]The first comes from the sun [2]The first comes from the sun. Solution:Water molecule an effective radiation shield ing due to it’s unique absorption spectrum absorbs high energy short wavelength radiation. In addition, it also provide a interesting sense of interior spaces from the allowance of diffusses natural light in the visible spectrum. DIA +TU DELFT

Air Gap :Pressure/Atmosphere For inflatable membrane structure several crucial aspect will need to be taken in to account of:[1]Air pressure/Atmosphere [2]Materialization/Strength [3] Wind/Climate on site. [1]Understanding the atmospheric pressure within MARS and Earth. The atmosphere of the planet Mars is composed mostly of carbon dioxide. The atmospheric pressure on the Martian surface averages 600 pascals (0.087 psi; 6.0 mbar), about 0.6% of Earth’s mean sea level pressure of 101.3 kilopascals (14.69 psi; 1.013 bar). While in space shuttle, interior atmosphere around 70 kPa.[2] The Dyneema reinforced membrane is the only pressure boundary, taking the load of 70 kPa of interior pressure.[3]Wind speed along the great canyon should be consider , to prevent inflatable structure lifted off its moorings.

Reforming Waste Pipping Manshyet Naser|Confronting Informality Competition by TU DELFT -International -[Finalist] 2018 @Cairo ,Egypt.

Outskirts of Cairo, Egypt - the world’s largest garbage village[Manhsyet Naser]: the Garbage city piled with large amount of nylon bags filling the streets. The residing “Zabbaleen” (Arabic for garbage people), sort thegarbage to retrieve useful or recyclable items into trash trade, making a livelihood out of what theycollected. The lack of proper sanitation creates odor and diseases easily spread within the city, affecthe perception of the Cairo citizens towards the slum, one place local Egyptians would not step in.This small-scale initiatives ideas intentionally create a healthy community, empowering all individualsand communities, an act of stimulus for future sustainable growth. Idea of changing one street, one initiatives at a time that could stir up a pride in the people of the garbage city, improve their livingquality while diminishing the prejudice against them in the process. We are convinced every slum is unique and would like to make it a success starting from Garbage city.

Rest-To-Run |Eating-Non Architecture Competition -International -[Honorable Mention] 2017 @Tokyo /applicable to any site

Make every meal a hearty meal – within just a few steps! “Restaurant”. Defined as a place where people pay to sit and eat meals that are cooked and served on the premises. We often refer to a restaurant as a place, as a physical location. But what if the restaurant itself is not a stagnant but a moving object, or even more, actually resembling a living creature, which could self-sustain by growing food on its own. Because of that, it serves food fresh! And what if, instead of walking into a restaurant, you can have a walk side by side with the restaurant! Take a journey with Rest-ToRun by hopping on for your next meal, now available within the new city loop. Prefer to stay home? Worry not, it is also able to serve warm food right outside your window. So check out our schedule now! Experience eating like you never have before. Experiencing good taste with every step! http://www.nonarchitecture. eu/portfolio/rest-to-run/

Shadow Rise |Asia Young Designer Award[AYDA] -[Bronze Award] 2016 @Ipoh,Malaysia

The concept behind the project were inspired by the site itself which was located at Ipoh’s green coronation park along the Waller Court residential block. An idea of integration between nature [ site context ] and architecture [ Waller Court ] elements which could create interesting SHADOW .It will be beneficial to allow diversified social interaction and performing activities for the communities in this hot tropical climate and the absence of trees in the proposed site as shown [site location 02]. Meanwhile, RISE derived from an inspiration of musical resonance , a basic idea of a beautiful rising rhythmic flow which could be reflected to the wide prolong site that consist of a beautiful wide horizontally view from the public area. The form of the rising rhythm element also provide interesting rhythmic shadows for the functional space from less performing activities to the active performing space along the building spaces. A Community Performing Art center was proposed to aim for a genuine attention and attraction to revitalize this beautiful heritage area through the art of local sounds and movements. All along the journey of Waller Court, I witnessed there were plenty of beautiful art been constrained too long behind the old walls. Is time to bring out their art ,colours and let’s all “be bold ,be free and be you”. https://www.asiayoungdesigneraward.com/.

The Site itself give a first impression of evolution fromBK, Old to New ,as shown in the architecture perspective. As transiting Team: ,Arise Wan,Tan Niragira Lysette,Alian Chan,Lee Binli through the route, the structure graudually starting to change from a old classic shophouses around the old area along Petaling street to a developed highrise concrete steel structure in the new area across Jalan Kinabalu. Technology and development gradually fading the qualities of local cultures and Kuala Lumpur’s rich history, destroying the great identity of that area. Hence ,with much history to showcase,a galleria is highly important to present historical lost to both locals and tourists of present and future. The chosen proposed site act as a dead area mainly for parking purposes ,meanwhile it act as a community transition between the old and new.Hence, much opportunity are found around the chosen site for development of a public gallery and gather spaces for the community. Therefore , the intention for this proposed site are to joined back the urban fabric of community flow by Evolve from this three main lost aspect Environment, Culture and Open Space to recreate and revive= community’s thoughts and lost of today.

The Masterplan In this project ,the assigned task were to design and plan the overall masterplan of a 24acres Jungle resort named “Boulders Valley, with 25 significant units of Glamping [glamarous camping ].In this particular project, extra consideration of deforestation ,landscape and maintaining the environment were being priortize due to the alluring exisiting natural elements of the surroundings. The site consist of approximately 100 of large appealing boulders and varies of local tropical trees. Thus, most of the building design and structure were design with profound analysis and site measurements accordingly to the coordination of the existing boulders and trees.Hence the overall architecture end outcome will be naturally blended to the nature, maintaining the wonders of the nature meanwhile co-exist with a glimpse of architecture beauty. Climate & Geology Pulau Pinang consist of tropical rainforest bodering on a tropical monsoon climate, though Penang does experience slightly drier conditions from December to February of the following year. The climate is vey much dictated by the surrounfing sea and the wind system. There are 3 main geological formations in Penang i.e the orthoclase to intermediate microcline granite and the Mahang Formation(mainl ferruginous slate).Penang island has no sedimentary rocks and
