Arista Doors
Why Arista
Arista embodies a passion for high quality doors, material, design, and service. As a family business, we understand that you are buying a lasting building element for your home and wantittobebothpracticaland beautiful. At Arista, we want to enhance your life experience and make a door that you admire every day.
At Arista, we ensure that the door that we manufacture will serve your needs and at the same time works with your home design for both exterior and interior. We lend our extensive experience and expertise to advise on solutions and options to meet any design features you may desire. We follow all the building standards and regulations as well as the insurance requirements. We are constantly looking for fresh ideas, trying out new concepts and creating doors that are unique and practical. We are on a mission to handcraft individual, innovative and sustainable doors, which defy expectations and leave a legacythatisuniquelyAristaDoors.
Arista’s Way
We start off by understanding what our customers envision from their desired door and discussing how we can achieve what they have in mind. At this stage, our design team works with the customer toing and froing with ideas, drawings, and samples to tailor all the necessary details. Once all the details are agreed, a final CAD drawing is submitted to the client for the final confirmation. After the design is confirmed, we start the production. First step in our production process is to prep the materials. Our prep team start prepping the hardwood while our inventory team order any additional hardware (e.g., a new handle set). Once the hardwood is prepped and shaped, the assembly teams take over and start working on the subject door and its frame. After the assembly is completed, the door is sanded and the CNC works it magic by cutting out the hinges, locks, and any wiring channels. At this stage, the door is handed over to our magicians at the finishing team. The finishing team will add any extra item such as molding, glass, or iron at this stage. They make the final artistic touches and ensure that all hardware is fitted before sending the final product for staining. Our staining team sand the door once again before applying the desired stain. After the staining is completed, the delivery team will receive the door along with any additional required hardware. The delivery time will be communicated with the customer to ensure that they are ready for the delivery and/or the installation. In addition to our regular process, we also offer a site survey to measure the openings and assess all the requirements of exterior and interior doors as well as trims.
Arista is Sustainable
At Arista, it has been our goal to innovate and push the boundaries of our industry in order to create new limits of what it means to build a wooden door. We are consistently looking for fresh ideas, trying out new concepts and finding more efficient and sustainable ways to produce doors.
We use mass timber to make our doors, which is a sustainable material as it is composed of wood, a renewable resource (usually from reforestation), and doesn’t require the burning of fossil fuels during its production. Mass timber is a technological advancement that uses engineered wood products such as Glue Laminated Beams (Glulam), Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) and Cross Laminated Timber (CLT). They are fabricated by binding together large panels and beams under pressure using adhesives such as Polyurathane, Phenolic, or Polymer Isocyanate glues. The wood’s grain in each successive layer is stacked in alternating grain orientations for added strength. Additionally, mass timber structures meet or exceed existing fire and seismic codes. Mass timber structures achieve fire resistance because the timber panels char on the outside to create a layer of insulation that protects the interior from damage. As such, it can withstand intense heat to an extent that surpasses existing fire code regulations. We also use water-based coatings to stain our doors. Using water-based diluents reduces the emission of volatile organic compounds (VOC), which creates a safer workplace for our employees and achieve our environmental sustainability goals.

Why Buy Engineered Wood Door?
One of the many attractions of a wood door is that every door is completely unique. From their unlimited flexibility in design to their natural grain patterns, no two wood doors are ever the same. Whether you’re looking to stain or paint your door, the beautiful look of real wood shows through and creates a truly memorable impression. The stiles and the rails provide details that you will not find in any alternative products. Wood doors are made from many different components that can be joined together to make really interesting custom designs and sizes. From a sticking with crisp lines to a sharp panel raise, wood doors are unique. when choosing a wood door, there are many considerations. For the highest level of privacy, you can get a panel door which has no glass. If you want to bring light into your home you can either get a sash door which pairs a piece of glass with panels or you can get a french door which allows in the most natural light. In addition to privacy and light, there are different layout options for the door. Architecturally correct doors have proportional stiles and rails while wide layout doors have larger 5-1/2” stiles to accommodate certain locking mechanisms. Reverse layout doors switch the intermediate and bottom panels, as well as lock rail and bottom rail, for a different look. Solid wood doors provide all of the benefits that go along with real wood. Solid wood components join together to create ultimate strength and durability, while other non-wood products in the industry are filled with foam. Solid wood does not offer the best insulation values, but it is warm to the touch and does reduce sound transmission. So why buy a wood door? First of all, wood products are the real deal, not just another imitation product. Wood doors provide beauty, strength, and durability for a door that’s going to last a lifetime.
Exposure Types
Many homes have a covering over their front door also known as an overhang. Depending on the size of the overhang, your door may be partially or fully exposed to the elements. In these cases, it is important to consider the durability and construction of the door to make sure it stands up to the elements. Doorways can be grouped into three different protection levels: fully protected, partially protected, and unprotected.
Fully Protected Doorways ways provide the most protection for your doorway. The overhang extends the same distance as the unit is high but it also extends past the door on the sides to cover all angles of the door. Rain and snow may come in at an angle and with this type of doorway, the door will be protected from the elements.
Partially Protected Doorways provide protection for the top half of the door, but many times the bottom half is exposed to the elements. This is the portion of the door that is susceptible to water and moisture or the sun can break down the finishing seal over time by baking the bottom half of the door. The height of the opening is the distance from the sill to the ceiling.
The overhang (X) of a partially protected doorway must extend half of the height (Y) distance (X = 1/2 Y). If you have a height (Y) of 10 feet, the overhang of a partially protected doorway must come out 5 feet (X).
Doors
Unprotected Doorways provide no protection from the weather. The overhang of these units either do not exist or only come out a small distance. If the height of the unit is 10 feet, then the overhang will come out less than half of the height. The smaller overhang provides less protection for the top of the door creating a need for a more durable overall door. Most homes have at least one unprotected doorway so it’s important to choose a door with the best durability level to provide maximum protection from the elements.

Types of Glass:
Laminated glass is a safety rated glass. It is two pieces of glass pressed together with a film in between. If broken, the glass will crack but stays in one piece; the shards will not fall out. Additional benefits include improved UV and sound control.
Tempered glass is also a safety rated glass. If broken, the shards will fall but will not have sharp edges.
Note: Safety glass should be used on all doors, sidelites, or transoms to reduce injury should the glass break. Annealed glass, or “ordinary” glass, is not safety rated. If it breaks, it will cut into shards with extremely sharp edges.
Monolithic: A single sheet of glass.
Insulated Glass Units: IG units are designed to keep buildings/homes warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. Two or more pieces of glass are spaced apart and sealed to form a single unit with air in between each piece. Heat and sound transfer are reduced.
Triple Glazed: Three pieces of glass are spaced apart and sealed to form a single unit with air in between each piece. The outside pieces are created of safety glass and the inside piece is often a decorative piece. This decorative piece could be annealed glass, stained glass, decorative glass, or other types. Limitations may apply.

Switchable Smart Glass
*over 250 patterns are available via request
Glass is a major component in modern commercial and residential design. Besides providing natural light from the outdoors, glass acts as a more attractive option for interior partitions.
Switchable glass provides additional design elements that “fixed” transparent or opaque types of glass don’t. Its versatility contributes a number of advantages, including:
Privacy: By having the ability to switch from transparent to opaque as needed, switchable glass partitions can provide differing levels of privacy throughout the day.
Safety and security: The capacity to switch between transparent and opaque partitions can help temporarily seal areas from prying eyes during confidential procedures.
Conserving power: Heat from solar rays often requires cooling systems to work overtime in glass-paneled commercial and residential buildings. However, switchable glass allows users to change the transparency of the glass according to the differing levels of sunlight throughout the day, helping prevent external light from heating the building too much.
Easy to Clean: Smart glass can be sterilized more easily and thoroughly than traditional privacy screens and curtains.
UV and IR radiation protection: Much like its ability to block out differing levels of sunlight throughout the day, smart glass can also protect your building against harmful UV and IR rays without causing facility owners to rely on permanently opaque glass.
Fewer design elements: Smart glass necessitates fewer design elements, like blinds or curtains, to block out light and solar radiation.
Versatile: Switchable glass can be installed in virtually any residential, commercial, or governmental facility.
Multifunctional: Along with its wide variety of design functions, switchable glass can serve as an HD projection screen as needed.
Smart home compatible: compatible with simple switch, dimmer, smartphone, remote control, Control 4 and Z-Wave.

Primed stile and rail doors are an ideal choice for homeowners seeking to add a clean look to their Modern, Traditional or Craftsman style homes. They feature architecturally correct layouts, crisp shadow lines and highly defined panels providing a superior level of detail.
Stiles, Rails & Veneer
The stiles and rails have a solid wood engineered core for added strength, stability, and reduced sound transmission. An MDF veneer is permanently bonded to the core resisting dents, dings, and gouges. The veneer when compared to other imitation products makes for a superior and smooth painting surface.

Doors are not only functional, but are used more and more as high-end interior design elements. Arista believes in the timeless beauty of hidden perfection. A pivot door is invisible in its closed position, but can have a highly decisive spatial impact when opened. Our pivot systems are mortised entirely into the top and bottom of the door, with no structural elements in the floor and ceiling.
