Marilyn was a frequent guest of the Biltmore, Arizona’s architectural masterpiece designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and his student Albert Chase McArthur. Wright’s influence can be seen in the pre-cast, palm-tree-bark-inspired textile blocks used to construct the building. Marilyn declared the resort’s art-deco swimming pool to be her favorite for sunbathing. The stunning pool, cabana, and bathhouse are decorated with brilliant navy-blue and canary-yellow ceramic tiles flown in from owner William Wrigley Jr.’s Catalina Island pottery plant.
