Don’t just teach good character...

inspire it!

To truly inspire good character, you have to put kids in the room with it. Over the past twenty years, the Junior Police Academy has been doing just that – proactively bringing young people and law enforcement professionals together. With the release of our new program, “American Police Officer - A Course in Character,” JPA offers budget-minded departments an uncomplicated, yet powerful way to reach out and reframe how a young person experiences their own community. “The program communicates a simple, yet powerful message to young people: ‘I am here because I care and because you are important to this community.” Chief Tom Clemons Seward Police Department, Alaska

“Junior Police Academy works. We were able to create a sense of ownership between students and officers. It was no longer ‘them’ or ‘they.’ It was ‘he’s my officer’ or ‘she’s my student’.” Former Chief Patrick Fuller Austin ISD Police Department

The kids we reach through the Junior Police Academy are often searching for positive role models in their lives. JPA provides the perfect opportunity for cops to be that role model, to bridge that gap, and to strengthen your community. Lieutenant Robert Goetz Everett Police Department

"The JPA Cadets love every minute of it and their teachers report that homework has been getting done and the grades are improving." Chief Chad Pusey Oblong Police Department
