It’s the end of the school year and I everyone is super excited for the summer! Whoa, well hold up there Key Clubbers!! Fresh new opportunities are coming your way and we still have a number of upcoming ones this month! Sign up if you haven’t already and don’t miss out on the fu! Let’s end this year with a band and get a head start on hours. Just a reminder that the Year End Banquet is coming right up so come splash in some Key Club fun and celebrate the end of all exams! Enjoy food, awards, games, announcements and more at this summer party!

YEAR END BANQUET With the year quickly coming to an end, our club will be having a Year End Banquet to celebrate all of our accomplishments and it is also a great way to relax after all those final exams! Come out to win prizes, receive awards, eat food, play games and more! Wear your key club gear! JUNE 24TH BAND ROOM $2/person unless a dish brought
CHILDRENS FESTIVAL Early in the morning our awesome volunteers went down to Granville island to volunteer for the Childrens Festival! The Children’s festival is an annual festival that features shows, games, etc for kids! Our volunteers were given really big buttons where we could write our names on it and then we sat down at different stations helping out to prep for the festival! Such as cutting out fabric, making yarn balls, setting up and more!

CHILDS RUN As you see in those pictures, you can tell that we had an awesome time volunteering for the childs run! Although it was super early in the morning it looks like our volunteers thought it was worth it! Our Key Clubbers had a variety of different positions such as photographer, entertainment zone, route marshalls etc. They got nice yellow t-shirts and there were even extra child run t-shirts! WEoOOo for nice free t-shirts! They also got a nice free water bottle!

TECHNIVAL
As many of you know, TECHnival is a big thing at Van Tech! Everyone looks forward to it every year and this year it was super successful not only for our school but for key club! We made 700 dollars for our club which we will be donating to THE ELIMINATE PROJECT! Many of us had a blast selling our delicious rainbow cupcakes, oreo cupcakes, and cotton candy! I must say that I probably had the most fun not only being covered in cotton candy but also getting to know more of you! Thanks so much for everyone that came out to support us, it means a lot, shout out and thanks to Mr. Eckersley for being so flexible with us and donating all of the supplies needed! See you at next year’s TECHnival!
