International Academy
Training and educating future generations of young men and women with wisdom, stature and favor. By Meredith Knight
Some of the best schools in the country can be found in the state of Texas. Topping the list of outstanding seats of learning for young people is Newman International Academy which, although it offers many of the amenities of a private school, is tuition free. Fall of 2018 will see a seventh NIA campus opening in Arlington, this one concentrating on 9th through 12th grade. Newman International Academy has made a name for itself by offering the best and most rigorous curricula of the East and West in a college-prep, open-enrollment, public charter school. With a private school type environment, NIA is a haven for all students and is especially popular with families transitioning from home school to a regular school setting. Due to the competitive nature and size of local Independent School Districts, many student athletes have found a spot on our team instead of getting little or no playing time on the field, court or track. At NIA, students prepare themselves for the 21st century marketplace, civilization, and wonder in the field of academics, fine arts, and sports. Classes are small and focus on excellence, innovative learning, discipline, and character building. The staff and faculty are highly qualified. And there are many co-curricular activities to foster a passion for learning, challenging students to become better, and equipping them to face their future as warriors of knowledge, hope, and love. At NIA, they believe that every child is gifted. In partnership with dedicated parents and the community, they strive to help each child reach his or her highest potential; to successfully face the challenges and needs of this nation and the world with character and a spirit of excellence.
