The main difference between an expensive bristle board and less expensive board is the wiring and quality of the sisal used in the manufacture of the dartboard. Better quality bristle is more durable and will last much longer than cheaper bristle dartboards. The lower end bristle dartboards tend to have roundwires and staples to hold the wiring in place. These are fine, but hitting the wire is more likely to result in a bounce-out. As you go up in price you tend to get a staple-free bullseye, staple-free wiring systems which ultimately means less bounce out.
