Senior studio artist Ella Suffren (‘22) strays away from realism with her oil medium paintings. Her unique style is best exemplifi ed with her most recent piece, As Above as Below By stitching red yarn through the canvas, she demonstrates how people can feel tied in their own lives. “People may look like people, but they may not feel that way,” she says. However, she also admits that most of her artworks do not have a signifi cant meaning as she believes that people should take the time to judge what art means for themselves.
