Studio Brief : This was an urban insert project based on Madikeri. 5 sites were chosen around the Madikeri fort. One of the site was to be chosen and an urban insert was to be designed using a program that would suit the city.
Site 2:
A group of buildings that encompasses a civic centre, co-working space and a library, keeps the basic function of the existing site alive as a 'local centric' space.
Site 1:
Placed within a strong context, between the Madikeri fort and the temple, this site holds functions of the Kodava Samaj. This intervention consciously utilises half the site while leaving the other half predominantly unbuilt, providing a much needed breathing space.
Site 4:
An extension provided to the North Coorg Club. Adding a host of new social activities for the locals to engage with and to revitalise the culture of madikeri.
Level of Publicness in the interventions
Isometric (1:750) 8
Primary Path Connecting the 5
MasterPlan
An experiential restaurant celebrating the coorg cuisine with idea of walking in a hill station adjacent to a public node encouraging social interactions and building community
Site 3: A visitor centre located in place of the now redundant bus stand acts as the first stop for a tourist, as it holds all the neccesary information for going around in and around Madikeri

Studio Brief : The semester was based on the idea of a “Farm to table” concept, In which the culinary institute would consist of a set of farms surrounding the institute itself.
Most of the buildings around the site are public academic blocks. There are also a couple of residential blocks in the form of student hostels and staff quarters.
The site is connected from roads on all 4 sides. 2of them having vehicular axis and the other two being pedestrian in nature.
The farm to table concept was highlighted across by bringing the idea of farm inside the site while also giving a connection to the existing farm right across the site

Model maquete of the overall project
Starting with a linear organization to react to the parallel lines around the site.
Bending the shape to form a square with an open space in the center to represent local street character.
Making the block as a ramp to explore the idea of a `journey.
Adding a light tower to create a link with the Temple Gopura.
