With the end of China’s old industrial era, unproductive waste factories occupy a lot of urban lands and spaces. In the disposal of these buildings, there is always a contradiction between people's emotions and building program. This renovation project, one abolished factory was transformed into an industrial art museum, trying to preserve the memory of history and to explore its potential programs. This design retained the main structure of the old factory, so that the memory of local residents could be preserved. In addition, new exhibition units were integrated into the original building to reorganize the streamline and show the culture and history of the mining area. Combined with a surrounding cultural industrial park, the exhibition hall might provide a space for local artists to exchange ideas and revitalize the art industry. This design balanced the contradiction between the spirit of local residents and the practicability of the site.
Renovation strategy Abandoned industry will be transform to Industrial Art Museum which contains 6 exhibition parts.By preserving most parts of old factory, this Museum serves as a memory collection from old industrial time and a exhibiton place for local artists. Tourist will have a forgetable experience and buy some individual art work from local artist in souvenior shop in this unique building.

Renovational Strategy of History Section
In order to better show the history of the coal mine, I abstract the narrow and long tunnel space under the mine and cut it. Each story under the mine is made into an exhibition unit, embedded in the original building structure, and the whole building is made into a coal mine history specimen box.

Renovational Strategy of Bunker Halls
The three connected bucket silos form a large interior space. The rotating staircase exhibition hall can display tall exhibits, and visitors can view all-round works of art from different heights. The dome projection exhibition hall also makes use of the special space in the building to bring visitors a good experience.

Renovational Strategy of Air Tea House
Because of its height, the old coal bunker has a good vision in the whole mining area. I kept the main structure of the old building, I put the air tea room on the old structure, and the circular plane space added on the old coal bunker. Concrete colume supported air tea house offers tourists a open space to communicate with local artists.

NJTU 2016 Spring Architecture Studio 4: Architectural Department Hall Instructor:Associate Pro. Lin Jiewen Tel:+86-13805155351 Team work in 2017.6, rework individually in 2019 Site: Nanjing 2019. 10
This Architectural Department Hall , located in the Central Forest Park of Nanjing Tech University. In this design, the Architecture Institute and the natural mountain are combined to provide a runway for students, so that they can more easily carry out physical exercises in heavy schoolwork. In this Architectural Department, a large number of indoor and outdoor public spaces provide students with opportunities for communication and activities, so that students can study in a more comfortable working and learning environment. The teaching building connected with runway through stairs encourages student to join outdoor activities on the roof that surrounded by original vegetation in Central Forest Park.
The cafes are linked to the main roads of the campus and provide students with meals. The combination of roof runway and dining space enriches the diversity of space.
Students can discuss academic and communicate their program with others in the Open Salon.
Part of the natural landscape is preserved in the atrium, which provides outdoor activity space and exhibition space for students
3 layers of exhibition space in different height enrich the diversity of space promote the experience inside.
Combining exhibition space and corridor, students can learn something from their peers while walking through corridor.
Roof runway linked to 5 stairs provides students outdoor activity space.

03 Tuvalu in 2117
International VELUX Award 2018 Instructor: Prof.Shao Jizhong E-mail:2569032270@qq.com Tel:+86-13057530575 Team work Team Leader:Guo Liwei Partner:Cheng Ziyang, Fan Yibo Original concept: 70% Original Drawing: 70% Potential site: Tuvalu in 2117 2017. 11- 2018.1
The tiny Pacific island of Tuvalu will be submerged within one hundred years as global warming raises sea levels. In the design of the maritime city, the city was rebuilt from the original site of Tuvalu, which sank to the bottom of the sea already, towards to the sea level just liked phototropic coral’s growing up. The new settlement was made up of units that could be self-sufficient in energy and fresh water. It would provide local residents with places to live and fish, as well as accommodation, leisure entertainment, underwater relic tour, and other services for tourists. Tourism and fishery continued to be the backbone of the island’s economy after it was submerged. The Tuvalu civilization could survive in a new way. Architectural design may revive industries that will be hit hard.
This project is located in Tuvalu that is a small island on Pacific ocean.Tuvalu has a maximum a lt it u de o f 4 . 5m. Du e t o t h e extremely low terrain, rising temperatures and sea levels pose a serious threat to Tuvalu, leaving the country in danger of sinking into the sea floor. Tuvalu is short of resources with barren land, and will be totally overwhelmed in 100 years. I propose a strategy to face the threaten from sea level raising.
Concept of Project The new city of Tuvalu must keep rising in response to rising sea levels. The growth of corals also continued from the old corals, and finally calcified the previous generation of corpses into coral reefs. In the growth of corals, the microbes in the sea provide the ability for them to grow in the sunlight. In my bionic City, using solar energy to drive the future city can be self-sufficient and grow like coral. Seawater can be transformed to fresh water for people who live in building and plants that grow on flat sections. Rains can be collected in water tank which serves as supplement fresh water.

Wood is a renewable green energy source, and trees are also natural barriers for greening air and preventing dust in the process of growth. To a certain extent, the contemporary construction of Chinese buildings has caused damage to the environment. Because of wood's special advantages, wood structure buildings will gradually enter people's vision. I attended summer school and came to Vancouver to learn about wood architecture, and completed the conceptual design of Stanley park gate. Wooden Canopy provides users a good place to enjoy their leisure time by the sea.

Nowadays, many elderly people in China take public square dancing as their main way of communication. This square dancing with loud music and unchanging dancing style, which usually occupies public squares often, causes confusion among young people. In my square dancing machine design, I conceived a set of structure units combined with projection technology. They could be combined in different forms to make different spaces and stage effects with projectors. Cool light effect might add more fashion elements to square dancing. Individual structure units could also be turned into separate dancing machines, which would attract more young people to join. The mutual communication between the two generations could be strengthened while dancing together, and the generation gap would be alleviated to some extent.
