Chuck roast is a relatively inexpensive cut of meat that makes for a very tasty meal. You can also use chuck steak instead of chuck roast for this recipe. Bone-in chuck roast and chuck steak is one of the most affordable cuts of beef and has plenty of flavor and a good balance of meat and fat. It is also often referred to or sold as braising steak. Chuck roast is typically stewed, braised or slow cooked sine it is a tough cut of meat and needs to be prepared slowly and cooked in liquid to make them tender and keep them moist. In

unbelievably flavorful and tasty. So good over homemade mashed potatoes, a perfect weeknight meal! Easy Crock Pot Pot Roast serves 4 -6 3 pound chuck roast 2 cans cream of mushroom soup 1 packet of dry onion soup mix salt pepper garlic powder


In your slow cooker, mix the two cans of cream of mushroom soup and one envelop of dry onion soup mix. Season the chuck roast with salt (go easy since the soups have a lot of sodium in them already), pepper and garlic powder, and add to slow cooker. Cook the pot roast on low for 9 – 10 hours, until the meat is tender and falling apart. Serve with mashed potatoes and side of veggies, or a crisp salad. You can make this meal super quick by using the steam and mash potatoes from the freezer section. They are a nice shortcut, and you still have the yummy flavor of homemade.
