Grilled Fish

Grill fish recipes are easy and delicious recipes to do whether it may be just simply enjoying the outdoors and the catch of the day or just looking for something easy, delicious, and nutritious to eat for healthy meals that are quick to prepare. Grilling gives that smoky flavor in meats, seafood, and vegetables plus, if it’s outdoor, it’s a great way to enjoy eating your healthy food recipes and the sunshine especially on a summer day. This would especially be great if the one on the griller is the fresh catch of the day, to be served for a great summer get-together lunch with the family. Grilling fish is easier than grilling meat. For one thing, it takes a short time to cook, about a minute or two in both sides. In this type of cooking technique, you want the meat to still be tender and flake off when poked with a fork. Therefore, it is best never to overcook. Some fish need scaling, and some need to have the skin removed before cooking. If you are not sure, ask your fishmonger, and they will prepare it for you. Even if the skin is inedible it is often better to leave it on while cooking, after which is will easily peel off, or you can just eat the fish from it and leave it on the plate. If you are cooking whole round fish, such as herring, bass, trout etc, cut a few diagonal slashes in the flesh, right down to the bone, just before cooking. This helps the heat penetrate so that the fish can cook evenly. In grilling, here’s a tip: high heat. This will cook the fish just right. In cooking whole fish like grilled trout, a very important step is to prepare and clean the fish of all entrails. Wash the fish well before seasoning and grilling. This simple recipe only needs a few ingredients and the griller will do the rest. This is usually a camping trip meal or just a simple meal after a fishing trip, from the catch of the day. A very easy dish, no great outdoors required is grilled supreme John Dory, which can use store-bought fresh or frozen fillets. Dory cooks quite amazingly and easily well that even a beginner would not have a hard time making and later on, perfecting this dish. Source: How to Cook Fish on the Grill by Brent Nelson
