The Miami Beach JCC is the center of Jewish life in Miami Beach where everyone belongs. A strong and thriving JCC is essential to a strong and thriving community. Now more than ever, we need a place where all people of all ages, backgrounds and denominations can gather in a physical space to experience Jewish culture and values.
Now is the time to invest in the Miami Beach JCC - for today and for the future.
Connecting People Enriching Lives Teaching Jewish Values Building Bridges Cultivating Love for Israel
“ I see The Miami Beach JCC as the Crown Jewel of Miami Beach - the place where we can all experience the best of what our community has to offer. We must never take this for granted, because if we want the JCC to be here for the community, the community must be here for the JCC. ”

Building on a Legacy
The Miami Beach JCC has long been the cornerstone of Jewish life on Miami Beach. Its history is carried by strong leadership and a consistent vision and mission to serve the growing needs of the community.
Early Years (Before 1980): A JCC “without walls” providing social services throughout Miami Beach.
1980: The “little house” opens at 4221 Pine Tree Drive, with a 99-year lease from the City of Miami Beach.
Early-Mid 1990’s: The JCC transitions from an independent agency to an agency affiliate of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation.
2010: After many years of planning, the “little house” is shuttered with the dream of building a larger, more modern facility and the launch of an ambitious $14 million capital campaign.
2011: Construction breaks ground on the Pine Tree Drive property, just in time to save the 99-year lease term with the City.

The Galbut Family Miami Beach JCC on the Simkins Family Campus 2012- Present
October 2012: The Galbut Family Miami Beach JCC on the Simkins Family Campus - a new 35,000-square-foot state-ofthe-art facility - opens as a testament to the emerging need for expanded activities for all ages.
2022- 2024: A comprehensive strategic planning process culminates in a clear vision for future growth in five key areas:
Cultural Arts, Teen Programming, Early Childhood, Membership and Fundraising.
Fall 2024: The first class of the MBJCC Early Childhood Academy begins.
“ My family is so proud to be a part of the MBJCC legacy. Being here gives me the sense of home and there is nothing like that feeling of being home.”
Michael Simkins, Major Donor and Board Chair 2017-2021
