Prepare to be uplifted by Bruce Gaston’s opera, a boy and a TIGER, performed by Thai children from all background, some of whom are orphaned, abused, and HIV-infected, as they share their vision of a world without prejudice, where every child has a right to dream. Under the baton of the world-renowned conductor Somtow Sucharitkul, this talented cast brings Thailand’s first children’s opera to life. The English libretto is inspired by Yann Martel’s award-winning novel Life of Pi. This production, a unique and provocative multimedia spectacle, is entertaining and often humorous.
