This year also sees the 60th anniversary of B.R.M unveiling their first Grand Prix car and the 75th year of the E.R.A marque. The Bourne Classic Car and Bike Show on Sunday the 14th of June will host a display of several B.R.M. cars and race transporter. One of the highlights will be the appearance of B.R.M. P258, the actual car driven to B.R.M.’s first Grand Prix victory by Jo Bonnier in 1959 Dutch Grand Prix. Also, Peter Gethin`s BRM P160 which until recently held the record for the fastest ever Grand Prix race. Further iconic B.R.M. race cars will be on display which should include a V16 and other examples of the P25 model. Bourne boasts the fabulous collection of Raymond Mays, ERA and BRM memorabilia in the Bourne Heritage Centre at Baldock’s Mill, which will be open to the public on the day of the show. Bourne Classic Car and Bike Show, now in its fourth year, has gradually gained an excellent reputation as one of the area’s leading historic vehicle shows. Entries for the show range from the early 1900’s to the cut off year of 1989 and there are still places available for exhibitors. Other attractions at the show include craft stalls, a range of refreshments, punch and Judy and a traditional jazz band playing throughout the day. The day will end with a magnificent flypast of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. The show is held in an idyllic setting within the centre of Bourne and is open to the public from 10am to 4:30pm on Sunday 14th June 2009. Public entry to the show is free.
