Dhaka Is aptly considered as 'the city of mosques. along with Cairo and Istanbul ( Hasan 1981). The mosques of Dhaka have an intregal network of activity and connectivity with city development while acting as urban landmark and fundamental centre for the neighbourhood community.
This analysis tries to understand the socio-economic values and interrelated relatienships of the mosque with its neighbourhoods of the city and its urban- phenomenal impact on surrounding context of different scenarios of urban development of existing Dhaka.
