The Dog and Pony Show
Downing Yudain LLC is proud to present The Dog and Pony Show, an exhibition of paintings, watercolors, photography, monotypes and sculpture from the 19th, 20th and 21st century. Coming up with the theme for this show wasn’t a stretch as we spend our days with our five dogs and three horses. These beasts are a great part of our lives, and our friends’ and families’ lives. We are blessed to be able to share, live with and care for these creatures. It only makes us better people.
Animals have always been an important part of art. One can go back to the first cave paintings to find illustrations of creatures, and their images appear in all schools of art right up to today, with artists like Jeff Koons, Deborah Butterfield and many others.
We are fortunate to have a wonderful group of artists in this exhibition, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
