AILSA CRAIG Ailsa Craig in the Forth of Clyde Nearest town Girvan Height 1,114ft Formed 60 million years ago.

Left Ayr Harbour at 2.00pm Arrived off Ailsa approx 2hrs later Rounded the rock-just as in 1883- by steam. Bunty and Ellen on board. Weather much the same as that day125yrs ago. On return adjourned to the bar for serious reflection on voyage’s historical significance.
