Donald Melville Antiques Closing Auction SATURDAY 24 May, 2PM

After trading fine antiques at his Lake Road premises for the past 40 years Donald Melville has decided it is never too late to change. On 24 May A+O will conduct an onsite auction of the shop contents before the auction of the iconic building itself in early June. Donald has been a well-known dealer of English antique furniture from the 17th and 18th Centuries since opening his shop in the current premises in 1974. During that time the building has grown to accommodate a large quantity of stock and Donald has become known to many friends and customers through his appearances on radio and television, as well as his constant presence in the shop. He was a member of the New Zealand Antique Dealers Association for almost 20 years and served a term as President during that time. The auction will include numerous pieces of English and European furniture, copper, pewter, ceramics, stoneware and other items. Don’t miss an opportunity to own a piece of this well-known dealer’s inventory.
