Journey Cinematography Mary Anscombe
This is a book of shots from the short film Journey.
Equipment used.
Pre-Production.

Pre-Production was an important aspect in creating my film, I was able to experiment. it helps to give me a sense of direction to where my film is going, what shots work and what don’t, for me it is the planning process to the final shoot.
Each shot was storyboarded looking at the angles, shot types, composition, movement and lighting that would be suitable.
The colours and tones were added on in editing, through PremierePro.
Final Shoot.

These are images from my final shoot, looking at the colours, if the iso and apeture needed changing and if the colours contrasted well and at the composition meaning the shot types and angles, having wide and establishing shots to show the viewer what was happening in the scene, and close up shots to show more detail.
RED
RGB and colour tint, used in editing in premierePro. Changing the colours and adding the anamorphic aspect ratio 2.39:1 gives films a better professional finish. The colours are an important aspect in setting the mood and tone for the scene.

BLUE
Angles & Shot types. Wide Shot, good focal point creates a strong opening shot, clear to see what’s going on.
Wide shot, showing movement, p.o.v. emphasing the journey.
Close up shot, height level, again a p.o.v. gives the viewer the impression they are there, creates connection.
Extreme wide shot, just above ground level, similar to the opening shot making it clear to see what is going on.
