城市拓樸學 - 心像風景的流變 創作是轉譯「心象」於繪畫作中的實踐歷程,試圖呈現出當代時空下 - 心像中的風景:城市拓樸。心像風景 是對於人、事、物的複合觀察,經歷內化,而得以演化後的「再詮釋」,當中的象徵與隱喻,同樣是以人的本 位出發, 但不以記錄具體的人形及活動的景像表現。「心象風景」其實更暗示了象徵或隱喻的本質,不是寓言, 或神秘學的詮釋,而是另一種曖昧、無限,且重氣氛的圖像儀式。藉由繪畫創作的層疊筆觸的耙梳畫面的肌理, 並試圖拓張出的空間向度,折射出意識的觀看方式。 除了是由外觀世界、心理反射和內在感性所交融而成外, 並視創作者自己內在主觀感情的擴張及表現為藝術的主要目的。 邱建銘 Urban Topology-A Transitioning Mindscape Creation is a journey of practice, of translating one's 'mental images’onto the canvas in an attempt to portray what one sees in situations of the contemporary: an urban topology. Mindscapes are composite observations about people, places, or things, a 'reinterpretation" that evolves out of internalization. Their symbolism and metaphors all stem from the positionality of the human, but are not presented in expressive, concrete landscapes of humans or activities."Mindscapes", rather, hint at the very nature of symbolism or metaphor, not allegorical or mythical interpretations, but an ambiguous, limitless, and atmospheric ritual of imagery. I comb through the textures of the image through the layered touch of painting, while refracting the viewing method of consciousness itself through the spatial bearings I draw out. Aside from the intersection of the external world, psychological projection and internal sensibility,I also view the expansion and expression of the creator's internal subjective feelings as the primary objective of art.. 電子傳媒的出現,一切的影像、聲光無所不在地從無數的視窗與螢幕噴發。使用者透過觀看屏幕接收資訊, 然而數位傳媒也同時形塑其感官與視覺經驗,並構成一個由編碼和運算的擬像世界。 在各種界線的交融之中,勢必包含不同的轉換過程;透過介面的轉換過程,發現表現的可能,是超譯繪畫所 研究的課題。經由視覺經驗的反思與爬梳,將數位材料透過演算的參與,不斷地將之重疊、拼貼、壓縮和重組, 這樣的碎片化過程,除了是對擬象的拆解和再製,也是運算的自我揭示。 而碎片透過畫筆的佈署,進行介面的轉換與再編碼,交織成後數位時代下的擬象風景,並在在數位裂解的色 塊和線條上看到人的現實性與自我,也是人與世界一起共構的新「完形」之展現。 范嘉恩 With the appearance of digital technology comes timeless convenience, widening and deepening our cognitive universe. Numerous screens blare sounds, lights and images every second. Receiving vivid sensations, viewers immerse themselves into a simulacrum consisting of codes and digital calculations. The fusion of any two interfaces must result in transformations. In turn transformation holds the hidden treasure of rich expressions, from which the idea of transcoding paintings was born. I deliberately reflect upon my visual experiences in my combination of algorithms, stacking up, collaging, compressing and reforming digital materials for the creation. Such a process of fragmentation dismantles and reproduces the materials, enlivening the self-revealtion of the mysterious codes beneath. Via magical paint brushes, the fragments constantly transform and renew themselves until a farreaching, spectacular simulated cosmos unfolds in this post-digital era. Glaring through the lines and colors comprised of infinite tiny particles, we are blessed by the discovery of the profound ego within humanity, as well as a new Law of Organization guiding beings in the beautiful mother earth. 總有某些時刻,思緒會被牽入微小的日常裡。……光像流水一般傾瀉,它的輪廓緩慢地從清晰延展到模糊, 接著隱去。灰塵反射著光擺盪在氣流裡,畫出空氣行走的步伐,迷濛光景以曖昧的姿態書寫時間緩慢流動的模 樣,現實的聲音悄然退場,而另一種內在的聲音則如同濃霧般瀰漫開來。我經常在畫面上追求柔和的筆調,想 復刻光的暈影所帶給我的感知。抽離色彩的動作帶走很多訊息,比如天氣中的溫度、濕度,那些我們慣於以色 彩來判斷世界的線索,都隨之消失了。這種失去對我來說動人且自由,黑白繪畫存在著非常多的可能性,抽離 色彩的同時,取而代之的是更遼遠的想像,在那樣的景觀世界裡,黑白的質量、明暗的氛圍可以隨理想恣意調 配,並維持著一種溫柔的平衡。 梁育瑄 One can be drawn to certain minor objects or beings in one’s daily life…the light pours in like streaming water, its clear shape gradually blurring into evanescence. The dust reflected by the light lingers in the breeze, tracing a steady path in the air, whilst the movement of time is recorded by the misty scenery. The voice of reality, distances itselves allowing other, inner voices to spread in the manner of a thick fog. I often pursue a tranquil smoothness in my imagery, Perhaps what I seek is the sensation brought by the effects of light and shade.The action of distancing takes away a great deal of information: for example, the temperature and the level of humidity in the air, the colours used as traces to define the world. For me, such loss is moving and liberating, for there are endless possibilities in black and white; the lack of colours in fact brings an even more expansive imagination. One can enjoy the freedom of re-creating the degrees of black and white, dark and light, whilst keeping the atmosphere in a gentle balance. LIANG, Yu Hsuan

出生、成長、學習,我目前的生命經驗大多累積於雙北都市生活圈之中,這個地方像個龐雜豐富又奇異凹凸 的大爐盆一樣,每到一個轉角都有一個個饒富趣味的細節,因此我以城市巷弄間的混雜景觀為題, 企圖以多 面向視角探討生活之地——也就是雙北這座城市——的表與裏,並轉譯出個人在這一爐盆中的創作面貌。 在此系列作品中,常會出現些有情節的物件在某個空間之中,它們成為創作的文本,遭到加入混雜性、日常 性的創作轉譯。空間與物件再加上人與情感產生有可讀性的故事情節,使人對他者產生想像或評論,或將自我 投射到不屬於自己的故事之中去扮演心境或可能性。我捕捉的刺點,偏好在那些公私角力的、使人發生聯想的、 不待見人的、讓人產生疑惑的、引人發笑的、不知所措的等等情節當中。 陳巧筠

From birth, childhood, to study, most of my life experience has been accumulated in the Greater Taipei Area, Taiwan. This metropolitan area is like a large, rich, strange, uneven melting pot. Every corner I turn has its worthwhile details. Therefore, this study was based on the hybrid spectacle of the city alleyways to explore both the surface of the city and people's daily lives inside the city from multiple perspectives, translating them into my personal art works. In this sereis of works, objects with histories often appear in certain spaces. They become the texts of the creation, being combined with hybridity and the quotidian in the process of creative translation. Spaces and objects coupled with people and sentiments create a readable narrative, allowing others to imagine or critique the other, or else project themselves into a story not their own to portray a state of mind or a possibility. The puncta I have captured tend towards the struggle of public and private, or things that draw associations, that tend not to be seen, that cause doubt, or make people laugh or feel awkward — situations like so. 典藏

高雄市立美術館、國立臺灣美術館青年典藏、 藝術銀行、私人收藏 從動畫設計轉到純繪畫,開啟了新的觀看模式。3D 虛擬經驗改變了觀看對象的描述方式,在現實與虛擬螢 幕交疊錯置的時代裡,述說著風景的樣子。台北的城市到台東的自然,我感興趣的一直都是重新思考我的所見、 所處。從虛擬經驗的運算建造到畫布上的手感創造,這之間的空隙也讓所處的風景釋放出新的可能性,也透露 出我對風景畫的理解。 陳劭彥 The movement form animation design to pure painting, has opened a new mode of viewing. The 3D virtual experience has changed the way one describes the object of viewing. In an era when reality and virtual screens are overlapped and misplaced, it tells you what the landscape looks like. From the city of Taipei to the nature of Taitung, I have always been interested in rethinking what I see and where I am. From the calculation and construction of virtual experience to the creation of hand-feeling on the canvas, the gap between these also releases new possibilities for the scenery in which I am in, and also reveals my understanding of landscape painting. 此系列展出作品主要是以「景」為題材。大概都是在我無聊時騎車到處亂晃的取景。因為我住在南部,騎車 所到的範圍就落在嘉義台南之間,有時候是在兩個城市之間的省道,也有是往山區或海邊的小徑或村落。我總 是看到農田雜草、鐵皮屋、柏油路、也看到廟宇、節慶車隊水洩不通,當然更多時候是空蕩蕩什麼人也沒有的 不起眼景色。這些景色在不同的時間或不同的心情上讓我決定將它們成為「題材」,成為可以下筆的動力。畫 圖對我來說或許是逃離現實世界的一種方式,但這種逃離,其實是像個浪蕩者跟現實保持距離,冷眼觀察,避 免一窩蜂地沉浸在當代之中。 蔡宗祐 This series focuses on the theme of "Scenery". Mostly, They are moments that I captured riding my motorbike around out of boredom. As I live in the south, the range of my "Scenery" is set between Chiayi and Tainan. Sometimes it’s on the provincial highway between the two cities, and sometimes on the trails or villages to the mountains or the sea. I always see farms, weeds, tin houses, roads, temples, or traffic jams, and of course, more often than not, there is empty and unremarkable scenery with no one around. This scenery convinced me to take them as "subjects" and became the motivation for me to paint. Drawing may be a way for me to escape from reality, but this kind of escape is actually more like a wanderer keeping his distance from the real, observing coldly, and avoiding being swarmed by and immersed into the contemporary. 「千分之一風景」透過以物為景的敘事手法,書寫植物其具象與抽象、規律與隨機、重複與差異等自然特質, 並藉由微觀的觀看距離與視角,聚焦其細節紋理、景觀狀態與作用痕跡,如光照而延展的姿態、風吹而傾倒的 方向、水分流失而斑駁的紋理、雨打爛的葉子,顯微如同線索般的敘事痕跡,試圖呈現一種蘊含時間尺度的風 景特性與地理紋理,描繪植物於特定空間座標下長時間的作用關係與景觀記憶。透過陳述時序變化下某個片段 的知覺景緻,描寫漫長時間下風景的可能性與想像。 顏群 Taking 'object-as-landscape' as my narrative device, I aim to explore the individual qualities between each plant by examining the natural arrangements of representation and abstraction, order and chaos, repetition and difference. I take an up-close perspective and distance to focus on its every detail and groove, its state and any traces of use, such as the slight tilt of a leaf due to the direction the sun shines or the wind blows, the crackling on the leaf due to dehydration, or its damage under the rain. The way a plant grows is notably passive and reliant on its surrounding space and environment; in a way, it can be seen as a coordinate which points out a certain location at a particular time. The subjects of these paintings are mostly taken from plants that can be seen on a daily basis, be it the weeds by the side of the road, or trees and leaves from my travels or strolls in the country. The names and species of the plants are deliberately disregarded, for the botanical terms are not what I would like to focus on. Instead, I am keen to examine the relationship between the plants themselves and the environment as well as time. Through their existence, a particular time and location can be recorded and inspire endless possibilities of everyday landscapes. YEN, Chun
