LETTER FROM THE BOARD CHAIR AND PRESIDENT
2016 Board of Directors CHAIR Leonard T. Eschbach
Dear Friends, What do we mean when we talk about the ripple effect of the arts? The arts create benefits that ripple across our community, much like a pebble thrown into a pond that creates waves that ripple across the water. Donors like you create ripple effects with your support for the Arts and Education Council (A&E). Your one gift to A&E creates ripples across our community in incredibly meaningful ways. We’ve seen the arts connect people in St. Louis time and time again, whether it’s

Kim won the scholarship, underwritten by the Arts and Education Council since 2012, for his classical piano performance on stage at the Fabulous Fox Theatre on April 23. “I was very humbled to receive the award. I realized winning the award meant it was essential for me to continue my musical career throughout college,” explained Kim. He will attend the University of Pennsylvania in fall 2017 to study bio-dentistry, but plans to continue his piano practice — either on his own or with a band.
