DRAWN SIMPLICITY EN — Designs Pinstripe and Contour are inspired by Scandinavian simplicity. Luscious fields of flowers translated into a two-tone design with organic forms is the basis for Contour and is a seamless match with the De Ploeg style. Pinstripe is an exaggeration of the popular pinstripe in a free-form translation. Strong in its simplicity and complemented by its naturally looking weave.

NL — Dessins ‘Pinstripe’ en ‘Contour’ zijn geïnspireerd op Scandinavische eenvoud. Weelderige bloemenvelden vertaald naar een tweekleurig dessin in organische vormen 12

resulteert in Contour en sluit naadloos aan bij de stijl die we van De Ploeg kennen. Pinstripe is een uitvergroting van de populaire krijtstreep in een vrijgevochten vertaling, sterk in zijn eenvoud en gecomplimenteerd door zijn natuurlijk ogende weefstructuur.

DE — Die Designs ‘Pinstripe’ und ‘Contour’ sind von skandinavischer Schlichtheit inspiriert. Üppige Blumenfelder, umgesetzt in ein zweifarbiges Design in organischen Formen, ergeben Contour und fügen sich nahtlos in den Stil ein, den wir von De Ploeg kennen.

Pinstripe ist eine Erweiterung des beliebten Nadelstreifens in einer Freiformübersetzung, die in ihrer Schlichtheit stark ist und durch ihre natürlich wirkende Webstruktur ergänzt wird.

VIBRANT BLENDS EN — The 2021 collection is characterised by a high-end design feel with a rich blend of fabrics. This year the designers are highlighting special twined yarns in unique colour combinations, giving the fabrics a vibrancy and depth. This has resulted in Twinwool, Twist and Vivid.

But Drift, Dawn, Distel and Cobble also show a special duotone effect. Each fabric has its own unique look, with rich blends as the common denominator. A collection with both daring, contrasting colour mixes and naturally looking twines in soft tones.

NL — De collectie van 2021 laat zich kenmerken door een hoogwaardig design gevoel met rijke gemêleerde stoffen.

Zo leggen de ontwerpers dit jaar de nadruk op bijzondere getwijnde garens in unieke kleurcombinaties, welke de stoffen voorzien van levendigheid en diepte. Twinwool, 16

Twist en Vivid zijn hier het resultaat van. Maar ook in Drift, Dawn, Distel en Cobble is een bijzonder duotoon effect aanwezig. Elke stof heeft zijn eigen unieke optiek, met als gemene deler de rijke melanges. Een collectie met zowel gedurfde contrastrijke kleurmengingen als natuurlijk ogende twijnen in zachte tinten.

DE — Die Kollektion 2021 zeichnet sich durch ein hochwertiges Designgefühl mit schönen Melange Effekten aus. In diesem Jahr legen die Designer den Schwerpunkt auf spezielle gezwirnte Garne in einzigartigen Farbkombinationen, die den Stoffen Lebendigkeit und Tiefe verleihen. Twinwool, Twist und Vivid sind das Ergebnis dieser Entwicklung. Aber auch in Drift, Dawn, Thistle und Cobble ist ein spezieller Duo-Toneffekt vorhanden. Jeder Stoff hat sein eigenes, einzigartiges Aussehen, wobei die Melange Gewebe den gemeinsamen Nenner bilden. Eine Kollektion mit gewagten, kontrastreichen Farbmischungen und natürlich wirkenden Zwirnen in sanften Tönen.

CALMING COLOURS EN — Soothing colours with a sober character that are perfectly in tune with the time, are an important part of the collection. The carefully selected colour pallets that perfectly complement the quality of the fabrics, represent peace and minimalistic design. But also the more daring colour combinations that De Ploeg is renowned for, are represented.

NL — Kalme kleuren met een sober karakter die feilloos aansluiten bij de tijdgeest zijn een belangrijk onderdeel van de collectie. De zorgvuldig samengestelde 20

kleurpaletten die de materialiteit van de stoffen maximaal complementeren, staan voor rust en minimalistisch design.

Maar ook de meer gedurfde kleurstellingen die we van origine van De Ploeg kennen ontbreken niet aan het geheel.

DE — Beruhigende Farben mit nüchternem Charakter, die den Zeitgeist perfekt treffen, sind ein wichtiger Bestandteil der Kollektion. Die sorgfältig zusammengestellten Farbpaletten, die die Materialität der Stoffe optimal ergänzen, stehen für Ruhe und minimalistisches Design.

Aber auch die gewagteren Farbgebungen, die wir von De Ploegs Ursprüngen kennen, fehlen nicht.

A MODEST GESTURE EN — In 2021 De Ploeg gives a constructive impulse to its mission to become more sustainable year on year, by introducing the new sustainable label ‘De Ploeg – Durables’. By creating timeless collections, sustainability has always been a part of De Ploeg.

Collections that are developed with care and attention and that last generations. However, De Ploeg also takes on the sustainability challenge with regard to materials.

The importance we have always given to craftmanship and natural materials has reached a new level now with our eye for detail and focus on beautiful and honest materials.

NL — In 2021 geeft De Ploeg met het nieuwe duurzame label ‘De Ploeg – Durables’ constructieve inhoud aan haar missie om ieder jaar een stukje duurzamer te worden.

Duurzaamheid zit al jaren in het ontwikkelen van collecties die niet onderhevig zijn aan de tijdgeest. Collecties die doordacht ontwikkeld zijn en generaties overleven. De Ploeg zoekt de duurzame uitdaging echter ook in de materialiteit. Met van origine de nadruk op vakmanschap en natuurlijke materialen heeft De Ploeg meer dan ooit oog voor detail en focus op mooie en eerlijke materialen.

DE — Im Jahr 2021 wird De Ploeg seiner Mission, jedes Jahr ein bisschen nachhaltiger zu werden, mit dem neuen nachhaltigen Label ´De Ploeg – Durables´ einen konstruktiven Inhalt geben. Seit Jahren geht es bei der Nachhaltigkeit darum, Kollektionen zu entwickeln, die nicht dem Zeitgeist unterworfen sind. Sammlungen, die mit Bedacht entwickelt wurden und Generationen überdauern.

De Ploeg sucht die nachhaltige Herausforderung aber auch im materiellen Aspekt. Mit seinem ursprünglichen Schwerpunkt auf Handwerkskunst und natürlichen Materialien hat De Ploeg ein Auge für Details und einen Fokus auf schöne und ehrliche Materialien.

NATURAL RESPONSIBILITY EN — De Ploeg has always cared about sustainability.

With qualities such as ‘Sea’ and ‘Ocean’ De Ploeg gave a new life to plastic litter a few years ago.

For the qualities ‘Mesh’ and ‘Rise’ we chose yarns made from recycled PET bottles. En with ´Choice’ De Ploeg introduced a pure yet functional fabric, fully biodegradable, and also in compliance with fire retardancy standards. This current range will this year be complemented with 5 new innovative qualities which were created in line with our sustainability philosophy.

NL — Duurzaamheid was al een thema bij De Ploeg. Met kwaliteiten ‘Sea’ en ‘Ocean’ gaf De Ploeg een aantal jaren terug nieuw leven aan plastic zwerfafval. Voor de kwaliteiten ‘Mesh’ en ‘Rise’ werd gekozen voor garens gemaakt van gerecyclede PET flessen. En met ‘Choice’ introduceerde De Ploeg een pure en toch functionele stof, volledig afbreekbaar, zonder concessies te doen aan de brandveiligheid. Dit reeds bestaande aanbod wordt dit jaar uitgebreid met 5 nieuwe innovatieve kwaliteiten die hun bestaansrecht danken aan de duurzame gedachte.

DE — Nachhaltigkeit war bereits ein Thema bei De Ploeg.

Vor einigen Jahren hat De Ploeg dem Plastikmüll mit seinen Qualitäten ‘Sea’ und ‘Ocean’ neues Leben eingehaucht.

Garne aus recycelten PET-Flaschen wurden aufgrund der Eigenschaften für “Mesh” und “Rise” ausgewählt. Und mit ‘Choice’ hat De Ploeg einen reinen, aber funktionellen Stoff eingeführt, der vollständig biologisch abbaubar ist, ohne Zugeständnisse an die Brandsicherheit zu machen. Dieses bestehende Angebot wird in diesem Jahr um fünf neue innovative Qualitäten erweitert, die der nachhaltigen Idee ihre Existenzberechtigung verdanken.

MISSION DRIVEN DESIGN EN — Sustainable crops are at the root of our Durables collection. Alternative options driven by our mission and developed innovatively. We chose yarns made from recycled Trevira CS or recycled ocean plastics, but also natural sustainable materials such as hemp and lyocell.

These fabrics have a characteristic traditional look and fit perfectly with the De Ploeg values.

NL — De basis van de Durables collectie wordt gevormd door duurzame gewassen, innovatief ontwikkelde alternatieven en vanuit een missie gedreven uitgangspunt.

Zo kozen we voor garens gemaakt van gerecycled Trevira CS of gerecycled oceaan plastic, maar ook voor van nature duurzame materialen als hennep en lyocell. De stoffen kenmerken zich door een natuurlijke, artisanale uitstraling en sluiten zodoende feilloos aan op het De Ploeg gedachtegoed.

DE — Die Grundlage der Durables-Kollektion bilden nachhaltige Pflanzen, innovativ entwickelte Alternativen und eine missionsbezogene Sichtweise. Wir haben uns für Garne aus recyceltem Trevira CS oder recyceltem Meereskunststoff entschieden, aber auch für natürlich nachhaltige Materialien wie Hanf und Lyocell. Die Stoffe haben ein natürliches, traditionelles Aussehen und Gefühl, passen daher perfekt zur Philosophie von De Ploeg.
