Jinky Lorenzo - Reynoso
is a contemporary painter hailing from Legazpi, Albay. A wife and a mother of three children, she is also the grandniece of Diosdado Lorenzo, the acclaimed Filipino impressionist and one of the 13 Moderns of Philippine Art. Greatly influenced by her granduncle’s masterpieces, Jinky’s body of work can be described as atmospheric; what may seem simple upon first glance has the potential to grasp leaps and bounds of perception. The artist’s chosen medium of acrylic and oil are used with deliberate intention – bold strokes, deliberate scratches and rough textures portray not only the beauty of life, but also its inherent flaws.
Jinky has participated in a number of solo and group exhibitions, in which her works are also found in public and private collections in the Philippines and abroad.
