EVA JOHNOVA SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA
ABSTRACT
Eva Brady Johnova is a Slovakian artist, currently living in Sydney. Johnova creates abstract art inspired by Australian nature, colours and textures.
Her artistic style is derived from her experience as a make-up artist after which she started her art career with some found objects when she used old furniture, books, and newspapers. Those art pieces not only bore specific artistic expression but were also eco-friendly.
Her recent works are 3D abstract collage pieces inspired by the colours and textures of bird feathers.

Peacock and Budgie show how Eva’s previous ready-made experience evolved into the skills to compose these artistic and colorful collages. On each of them, we can see hundreds of individually crafted, hand cut and hand painted paper feathers. In the future she is looking to combining her 3D feather art with abstract textured painting and potentially resin art
One of Eva’s defining moments was the first time someone saw one of her early pieces and offered to buy it. This gave her the confidence to continue and her works have moved in price from $50 to $1500 over recent years
