I have been drawing quite literally since I could hold a crayon. I think back on that time and how easy it was to create, without fear or hesitation. In every piece of work that I create today, I try to maintain that same mentality, with an open mind and an open heart.

S alada T e a has been in business since 1892

and is responsible for innovations such as the first foil tea packet and the four-sided tea bag. The name of the company came from an ancient tea garden in India that is no longer in existence. I wanted to contemporize Salada to reflect the mysticality of the Indian tea garden with a mix of bold modernism. I used tea leaves and pieces of fruit to create a work of art in itself, because Salada takes pride in their tea and handpicks every leaf.

G r i m m ’ s F o r e s t is an original board game

I created based on the tales of the Brothers Grimm. The world has been fascinated with their stories for centuries and includes many classics like Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, and Snow White. Despite the frequent violence in these tales, their purpose was to teach children lessons of morality. Using both elements and characters from the Brothers Grimm, this game sends players on an adventure that will test their strength and purity of heart. I hand drew nearly every aspect of the game, from the game box to the 40+ playing cards to the game pieces.

prison of the mind is a book about the effects of epilepsy. People suffering from this brain disorder suffer from seizures, electrical impulses within the brain that cause them to convulse and essentially lose control of their bodies. To express the feeling of being trapped by the mind, I created narrow text blocks enclosed by vertical rules, as well as pull quotes and headlines with tight leading.

Dream big is an awareness campaign to help

children channel their creativity. Since 1990, creativity scores in school children have been declining. Many think this is due to modern technology, such as video games. The creativity tests themselves were created by Dr. E. Paul Torrance and encourage out-ofthe-box thinking using drawing and writing activities. These tests predicted success in adulthood more accurately than IQ tests. For this reason, I created an awareness campaign to help promote creativity in children.

E l D o r a d o r u m is a brand that is steeped in history, being named after the legendary city of gold of the same name. But their packaging lacked the sophistication it deserved. While preserving the iconic ship on their packaging, I used typography and graphics that were reminiscent of old world maps to tie back into their rich heritage.

Ma rv e l o u s Mis c h i e f Ma k e r s is essentially ComicCon for villains (who are always much more interesting than the heroes). In creating this convention, I did not want to show all of the typical villains that people are familiar with. Instead, I wanted to allude to the act of being mischievous using simple yet intriguing typography and graphics.

The Glue Network is essentially Kickstarter for nonprofit organizations. Each gift tag allows the recipient to give five dollars to the nonprofit project of their choosing. My submission for the Cosmic Sans Project. Twenty-six artists and designers came together to create a series of 26 space and sci-fi themed typographic art prints.
