FABRIC PROJECT CATALOG

Fabric collections are formed in many ways, sometimes the designer is inspired by a certain theme, mood, or place. All of our designers at AGF are extremely talented creatives with unique styles and designs that we have all come to love. Fusions was born on the idea of combining prints from different designers to form bite size collections based on different themes. The prints chosen are recolored to fit each theme, transforming them into new works of art! Each Fusion collection is infused with vivid colors and eye catching designs that are unique and powerful in different ways. Designers’ prints that were used in our Foresta Fusion collection: Bonnie Christine, Maureen Cracknell, Amy Sinibaldi, Pat Bravo, Sharon Holland and Katarina Roccella. We hope you are as excited as we are with our new “bitesize” concept of Fusions Collections. We aim to inspire you in every fabric collection we make. So sit back, relax, and have fun flipping through the pages of this lookbook!

Enjoy, -AGF

Apron For the enchanted Foresta collection we will learn how to draft a beautiful apron. Once you have your pattern pieces ready you will be able to personalize it with any of your favorite quilt blocks.

1. Bodice Pa₧ern: Draw a 15” x 13” rectangle. Make line AB in the vertical center of the rectangle. Make CD in the horizontal center of the rectangle. Mark point E where line AB and CD cross. Draw line FG 2 1/2“ from the left edge of the rectangle. Draw line HI 2 1/2” from the right of the right edge of the rectangle. Mark points J and J’ at 1/2” from point F, and points K and K’ at 1/2” from point H. Mark points L, M, N, and O.

2. Draft: Draw the pattern following the points: J - J’ - E - K - K’ - O - N - J, and cut it. Fold the pattern by the EB line and draw a curved line from J’ to E for the neckline. Trim the excess fabric. Open your paper to find the bodice pattern piece. J J’

3. Skirt, Belt, Ties and Pockets: For the skirt draw one (1) 50” x 20” rectangle, for the waist band draw two (2) 25“ x 2” strips, for the neck and waist ties draw four (4) 28” x 2” strips, and for the pockets draw two (2) 8” x 9” rectangles.

4. Quilt Blocks: Now that you have your pattern pieces ready, it is time to include your favorite quilt block. In this case I decided to make a statement with a quilting braid for the bodice, and to clean the edges I cut another bodice in the lining fabric.

5. Pockets: The pockets are another easy opportunity to use your piecing qualities. I preferred to use a single fabric to give more importance to the beautiful bodice. After finishing the edges of the skirt and the pockets, sew the pockets 8” apart and 5” from the top edge of the skirt.

6. Join: Clean the four (4) ties and join them to the shoulder line and to the waist band. Gather the skirt until it is as long as the waist band, making sure the pocket are also symmetrically aligned to the center. Join them Align the bodice to the center of the waist band and join it.
