Denisova is joined by husband and noted conductor, pianist, and cembalist, Alexei Kornienko. One of their recent collaborations, a recording of the rarely performed chamber music version of Vivaldi‘s Four Seasons (DEKA), featuring Denisova on four historical violins and Kornienko‘s profound skill on the harpsichord, has been critically acclaimed throughout Europe.

People are still talking about the affair the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra and Saskatoon Opera had last March. Now we’re about to have another! We are pleased to announce the special guest performing at The Red and Black Affair 2013 will be soprano Isabel Bayrakdarian. Ms. Bayrakdarian has performed in many of the world’s great opera houses, recital stages and concert halls. and she is heard on the Grammy®award-winning soundtrack of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. She will be accompanied by the musicians of the Saskatoon Symphony. During our last affair, guests were wined and dined par excellence at the Delta Bessborough. Flowers by Fred created a breathtaking mood with thousands of red roses. Guests were treated to auctions of the crystalline ceramic work of Rod and Denyse Simair, and paintings and pieces donated by the artists of Art Placement and Darrell Bell Gallery. Other donors included Trading Post, June Jacobs and Debra Marshall. The Red and Black Affair 2013 takes place Saturday, October 5th, at the Delta Bessborough. Tickets will be available through the SSO or Saskatoon Opera. Get yours early, as this event will be a sellout!
