The 2020 Woods Street Youth Art Prize showcases the artistic talent of 26 young artists aged 14 to 25 from Melbourne’s western region. In 2020, exhibiting artists responded to the theme ‘A New Power – Finding a Voice’ with a diverse and creative selection of works.
The exhibition is usually held at the Woods Street Arts Space (WSAS) a
shopfront-style community arts centre at 44 Woods Street, Laverton.
While we can’t be there in person this year, this exhibition celebrates
the special place WSAS holds in our community, and the creativity and
spirit of the young artists who live, work and study in
Melbourne’s western region.
The 2020 Woods Street Youth Art Prize and associated events are produced by Hobsons Bay City Council, Creative City and Hobsons Bay UP in partnership with the Hobsons Bay Emerging Curators Program.
