The Dahlgren Ground Mount project was the second concept to be designed and drawn. I really wanted to break away from the standard idea of a pergola or carport and make something that was much more visually interesting, possibly a sculpture or imagine if this were raised up by 8 feet and it became some sort of a shaded public space. I was thinking something similar to this would be very cool as a walkway between the house and our garage… I figured Dahlgren’s Wanas Sculpture park project was perfect for this, so with the help of a 3D designer came up with these rendering to show what it might look like, proper sizing of panels and support structures.

The final model is about 5 feet high off the ground. Has three array’s of 6 panels each. Panels size used would correspond to a 400 / 410 watt panel. Total about 7.4 kw
