I am a landscape Artist living and working in Odiham, Hampshire. I was brought up in the foothills of the Pennines, and have painted and drawn ever since I was a young child. The rugged windswept moorland along with the ever changing weather and light has always sparked my imagination and curiosity.

In the last ten years I have been fortunate to live in many different places from North Scotland to Cyprus. The lucid colours of the Mediterranean Sea drew me to paint a series based on the stunning coastline. I am a part of the military RAF community and draw great inspiration from the beautiful and very different landscapes experienced through travel. Alongside the multitude of different aircraft that fly overhead.

Helicopters are a particular favourite aircraft of mine to paint. I enjoy keeping the landscape in which I paint them, as fairly abstracted. Large swathes of bright colour with big brushes, allowing the paint to drip down and pool. The aircraft are also fairly minimal in detail, with the primary focus on depicting their form, ability and power.

My current home village in Hampshire has provided me with many stunning countryside walks and is a constant source of painting inspiration. The painting looking through the trees with the dappled sunlight across the path is a particular favourite of mine - Love Lane.
