“I have been assured by a very knowing American of my acquaintance in London, that a young healthy child well nursed, is, at a year old, a most delicious nourishing and wholesome food, whether stewed roasted baked or boiled; and I make no doubt that it will equally serve in a fricassee, or a ragout.” —from A Modest Proposal by Dr. Jonathan Swift “What cannot be talked about cannot be put to rest. And if it is not, it will fester from generation to generation.” —Bruno Bettelheim Thank you to this adventurous audience, we applaud you! About the Company The mission of RGWW (Rosanna Gamson/World Wide) is to foster dialogue through the curation, production, performance and teaching of dance theater. Artistic Director, Rosanna Gamson, convenes skilled dancers, singers, actors, musicians and visual artists from eclectic backgrounds and diverse countries to create new collaborations. Weaving our different skills, traditions and points of view into a single vision, we present sumptuous, entertaining and provocative dance theater that reflects the complexity of living in the world together. Since 1998 Rosanna Gamson/World Wide (RGWW) has created a multi-lingual, multimedia body of dance theater work rooted in the cultural multiplicity of Los Angeles and grounded in a humanist perspective.
About the Artists Since moving to Los Angeles, Rosanna Gamson has created eleven evening-length dance theater works as Founding Artistic Director of RGWW. Gamson's continuing investigation of improvisation and group-authored performance practices has developed into Gamson's game system GO, which she began teaching internationally in 2017. Gamson has served as dramaturg, mentor and consigliere to both young and established choreographers and directors, and actively supports the development of the Los Angeles dance community through her Terra Nova Choreographic Residency program.
