Sequential classes build on concepts, fundamental skills, and techniques. All classes include parent or caregiver participation, providing an enjoyable experience for both adult and child.
Group classes for teens and adults offer the next steps in their musical journey. The many benefits of music education – cognitive, social, health-related and educational – are well-documented and accessible to all. Try a new instrument, sing, or learn to make music with others!
In Little Musicians classes, young children will learn about concepts like rhythm, tempo, and melody by singing, dancing, and using instruments to develop a pre-instrument vocabulary. Getting Started classes focus on the fundamentals of a child’s early musical development and include skill preparation for introductory classes and private lessons. Classes include singing, ear training, notation, movement, and rhythmic games. Scan for Early Childhood program information and class descriptions.
Youth Group classes for youth are an exciting and collaborative way to start learning an instrument. Our expert teaching musicians guide students step-by-step along the path of music. Introductory classes introduce students to musicianship skills and instrumentspecific techniques that prepare them for placement in private lessons and intermediate music studies.
