GENERAL INFO

The ArtsCenter offers one-week and two-week camp programs with half-day and full-day options, as well as early arrival and late departure service. You can mix and match among these programs to fit your schedule and your child’s interests. Our camps focus on skill development and encourage campers to explore and discover their own creative voice. This year we’ve added more KidsCamp themes, doubled the number of ArtsFocus camps, and expanded our Little Campers program for rising K-1st graders. There’s something exciting for every camper this summer!

ArtsCamp Staff

ArtsCamp Staff is made up of a year-round Coordinator, along with a seasonal Manager and two Assistant Managers. ArtsCamp Instructors are professional artists, who are assisted by a dedicated group of volunteer teen Counselors.

Family Sharing Events

The opportunity for campers to share their finished work with family members is an important aspect of our camps. Camp staff will provide an exact schedule of Family Sharing events during the first few days of each camp session. While attendance is optional for family members, we hope you will plan to attend. In general, each camp will schedule Family Sharing during the last hour of the final day of the session.

Lunch/Snacks

Each child attending the supervised lunch period must bring a lunch or buy a boxed lunch. The ArtsCenter offers an Amante boxed lunch, but pre-registration is required. The boxed lunch fee is $30 per week, or $6 per day. Parents may purchase lunch on a daily basis during the camp week. Amante lunches will vary daily but will include items like pizza, sandwiches, fruit and juice. Vegetarian options are available. Snacks will be sold during break times, but children are encouraged to bring their own snacks.

Extended Supervision

For parents who require child supervision beyond scheduled class time we offer three extended supervision periods per day. Supervision is available from 8 – 9 am for $10 a week, and 4 – 5:30 pm for $20 a week. These spots are limited and subject to availability. Additionally, supervision is provided at no charge from noon – 1 pm for campers in both full day and half-day programs.

ArtsClub Member Discounts

Show your support of The ArtsCenter and receive a year’s worth of benefits including an early registration for ArtsCamp, reduced prices on most programs, and invitations to special Member Events. ArtsClub Members also receive priority seating at events. It’s quick and easy to become a member or to renew your membership. Either include payment with your ArtsCamp registration, sign up on our website at ArtsCenterLive.org, or call (919) 929-2787 x 213 to learn more. (Family Contributor level required to receive ArtsCamp discounts.)

Scholarships

Your tax-deductible contribution will help us to provide scholarships to low-income children in our community. Donations to the Camp Scholarship Fund are welcome in any amount. Scholarships are limited and available only to those who express significant financial need. Many scholarships are partial and require some financial participation from the family. Scholarship applications are available at The ArtsCenter’s Box Office, and on ArtsCamp’s web page, beginning February 10. Deadline for submission is March 9. Scholarships are awarded on a first come, first served basis and early application is encouraged.

Camper Behavior

The ArtsCenter reserves the right to ask a child not to return due to behavioral problems. If a child is asked to leave our program, all fees will be forfeited and no refund will be given. A copy of the ArtsCamp discipline policy is available upon request. For more information please contact Louise Tremblay, Summer Camps Coordinator at (919) 929-2787, ext. 204 or email Camp@ArtsCenterLive.org.
