2017 ANNUAL REPORT Annual reports are about numbers: income and expense, attendance and enrollment and scholarships. This annual report tells the story behind the numbers and demonstrates the impact that The ArtsCenter has on the vitality of our community. The ArtsCenter’s story is one of creative participation and arts education. We teach creativity in our classrooms, and in community centers and K-12 schools throughout the region. We are a welcoming gathering place where diverse people of all ages come together to share in the creative process by painting a portrait, throwing a pot, singing as a choir, watching a play or concert or movie, and myriad other programs that unite us as a community through arts and culture. Another number – this year marks the 30th anniversary of The ArtsCenter’s move to its current home on East Main Street. This beloved location has served us well but it is now tired and worn and we have outgrown it. Now is the time for a new home for The ArtsCenter. This fall, we concluded a feasibility study assessing our capacity to undertake a capital fundraising campaign. Over the next twelve months we will explore options and consult with our stakeholders as we plan for a new facility for the next 30 years. The last twelve months have been a year of accomplishment and success, both in terms of financial stability and programmatic growth for The ArtsCenter. This reflects the dedication and efforts of our staff, board, volunteers, and donors contributing to fulfilling our mission to serve all the residents of our region. Thank you for 1 inspiring year!
