Diss High School is a friendly, popular and welcoming school committed to high standards of achievement, behaviour and discipline. Our aim is to achieve excellence in all we do, not only in academic matters, but also in the outstanding range of extracurricular opportunities we offer.

Diss High School has an excellent record of both academic and sporting achievement; our examination results are consistently above the county and national average, and each year the majority of our Sixth Form students take up places at top universities. We have a highly valued Pastoral System, providing all students with opportunities for participation, responsibility and leadership.

Consistently graded as “Good” by Ofsted, inspectors noted ‘Pupils and students are rightly proud of their school … they enjoy positive relationships with the teachers and with each other.’

Dr Jan Hunt, Head of Diss High School writes: “Our motto is ‘Carpe Diem Seize the Day’; we want our students to grasp every opportunity and reach their full potential. Each year there are opportunities to travel, numerous sporting activities, art exhibitions, music events and of course, the School Show. To find out more, please come to visit us.”
