TRADITIONAL ARTS EXHIBIT

Check out the new exhibit from the South Dakota Traditional Arts program!

It features six pop-up banners highlighting some of the artists who have participated in the South Dakota Arts Council’s Traditional Arts Apprenticeship grant program.  Since 2001, the state arts council has funded more than 100 projects that support the continuation of traditional arts from one generation to the next through Traditional Arts Apprenticeships.  The S.D. Arts Council hopes the exhibit will encourage more artists to become involved and seek grant support for learning traditional artforms or passing on their expertise.

Beginning July 1, 2024, the exhibit will be available to travel to your community, and the first stop will be at Nicollet Tower in Sisseton.
