SPREADING THE WORD ABOUT ALL THINGS ARTS & CULTURE

Throughout 2019, ArtsWestchester focused much of its marketing and public relations efforts on building the ArtsWestchester brand and growing arts audiences through digital media platforms and in-person events. Throughout the year, much effort was focused on producing compelling online, video and social media content that highlighted the artists, arts programs and cultural events presented by ArtsWestchester and its affiliate arts organizations. The arts council also launched a ”Gotta Love the Arts” social media and print ad campaign that aims to broaden the ways in which people think about arts and culture. ArtsWestchester connected people to the arts community through its artsw.org website, its comprehensive calendar, monthly ArtsNews publication, weekly e-newsletter and social media. Through its weekly Arts(e)News email, which features a “Top 5 Arts Picks,” ArtsWestchester delivered more than 250 cultural happenings directly to people’s inboxes throughout the year. Through strategic partnerships with Westchester Business Journal and Examiner Media newspapers, ten issues of ArtsNews, were published and distributed throughout Westchester as a means of promoting the arts events, exhibitions and classes of affiliate arts organizations. ArtsNews was also redesigned to give it a more contemporary look. ArtsWestchester’s marketing and development teams worked together to create marketing materials for signature events and programs such as the Arts Award Luncheon, ArtsBash, JazzFest, Public Art, Community Education programs, the Golf Outing and Gala. In fact, ArtsWestchester’s 2019 Golf Outing broke its fundraising record by raising more than $100K in proceeds for the organization.
