What gets you up in the morning?

I’m usually full of ideas. I very rarely write them down so it’s a case of whatever I happen to remember is what will be on the agenda for the day (I keep a very loose schedule) Ideas get me up in the morning. The excitement of trying out something new whether it be a technique, a colour combination or a weird medium. I delight in not knowing where an untrodden path will lead.

What is your favourite thing about being an artist?

It's very flexible, working for yourself. I like that. Having three school aged children, it has meant I can be there when I need to for them. I also like that I’m the boss of me. I can work and rest when it suits me.
