2nd Annual Yough Country Symposium - May 20th, 21st, 22nd The Symposium will serve as a forum to exchange ideas, developments and future possibilities for or region. The event will begin on Friday, May 20th with an evening “Meet and Greek” held at the Fayette County Cultural Trust Building and will continue Saturday, May 21st in East Park and finally ending with a hike or bike ride that will end in Yough Park on Sunday, May 22nd. Residential involvement is essential because a city plan must reflect residents’ values and aspirations for their community. The Symposium plans to include background studies and recommendations related to future growth and development, transportation, economic development, public facilities, services parks and recreation facilities. We hope to gain your support and attendance at the 2nd Annual Yough Country Symposium. The theme of this year’s symposium is “Reaching Sustainability” and will be addressed by our keynote speaker Michael D. Wallander from the Kapok Group. The Kapok Group provides strategic counseling to clients in the design and development of sustainable projects and companies. This is a weekend full of informative and interactive developments in our region. Enclosed you will find a schedule of events for the weekend with dates, times, and locations of each event. The event will cost $50.00 and that will include entertainment, catered picnic luncheon, tshirts and a bike or hiking event over the course of the weekend. All monetary contributions will benefit the Fayette County Cultural Trust.
