STRETCH WITHOUT STRETCH! We now have a unique jacket in our range. It might look like just one in a crowd. But there is a significant difference that makes it stand out. The chef's jacket, which is made from a rigid fabric, has natural stretch through an innovative method. Through collaboration with Atacac and the way they construct patterns, we do not have to mix in different elastic materials. We can continue to produce in our plain, wellproven and sustainable qualities - and still have a stretch effect. Of course, the jacket naturally comes with trousers that are just as easy to move around in.

ATACAC... ... is the fashion lab on Ringön in Gothenburg that challenges today's way of designing, selling and producing clothes. Before making up any samples, they design and present the garments visually using 3D models. The founders of Atacac are Rickard Lindqvist, designer and Jimmy Herdberg, digital creator.

A LOOK BACK 2019

VISITS TO OUR FACTORIES

Did you know that you are welcome to visit our factories at any time. Our factory in Pakistan has had several visitors during the year, including a delegation from Swedfund who stated after the visit that the factory was the best company that they visited. Shortly afterwards, Swedfund sent managers from other factories so that they could implement the same systems in their businesses. The Japanese state organisation JICA (Japanese International Corporation Agency) commended Segers Pakistan and, above all, our gender equality work after its visit to the factory. For example, our female employees have the opportunity to make a career and have eQual. pay to their male colleagues. We also have a high proportion of employees who return after they have married and given birth, something that is unique in Pakistan.

WE HAVE CREATED UNIQUE GARMENTS WITH INNOVATIVE METHODS

Now we can have stretch effect without compromising on quality. Sustainable clothing with stretch is something that our customers demand. But stretch fabrics present certain challenges. First, stretch material is often too expensive. And secondly, it loses its elasticity over time. That is why we wanted to continue working in the fabric we currently work with, instead of finding something new. It can withstand being washed frequently and at high temperatures without its losing colour or shape, but is a rigid fabric. Instead, we chose to look at whether we could change the method we use to create garments. We turned to Atacac, because their way of constructing patterns allows you to find natural stretch effect in fabric that is otherwise rigid. Obviously, it is very exciting to be part of a project where clothes are created in an innovative way – no one has seen anything like this before. The goal of the project was to develop garments with stretch characteristics without having to change the fabric. We have succeeded in that – we can't be anything but satisfied. The project contained given frameworks. It was important not to compromise on tradition, function and quality, and the most important aspect - to get the stretch effect into the garment. So far the project has resulted in a chef's jacket and a pair of trousers, but we are already working on developing more models. You can find our Atacac models on pages 9 & 43.

NEW LABELS & PACKAGING

provide clarity and are more sustainable. You could see during the year that new red Segers labels have already been sneaked into our garments. It should be easy to see where the garment comes from and have a sense of security in wearing clothes from Segers. Our size labels have also been clarified with a "W" for women's models. Our deliveries are now sent out in new boxes and bags that have been better adapted to our articles. The packaging should be able to be filled as efficiently as possible and thus prevent us from shipping air. The designs of the bags have also been reviewed, which together with the design of our cartons allows us to reduce material consumption. The packaging has been given a new design to give clearer indication of the sender.

2019 was the first year that Segers released new articles on more than one occasion. In May, we released the apron that the Swedish National Chef's team wore during the 2018 Culinary World Cup in a limited edition, and in August we released another 15 new models, including stretch shirts and coloured chef's jackets.

Mr. Adil Aamir - Manager HR & Compliance played a large part in the work that led to our excellent rating. He is doing a fantastic job for Segers and our employees. Such as health care, life insurance, retirement, the opportunity to learn English, a Segers bus for transport to and from work, standing mats, vaccination, CPR training, babysitting and much more. Mr. Adil Aamir was also involved when Segers Pakistan was ISO certified in the spring of 2019. We plan to spread his amazing work outside Segers Pakistan. First up is Segers Ukraine.

FOR A SAFER WORK LIFE The views on human rights and healthy working conditions are very different in factories across the globe. Here at Segers, we take responsibility to ensure you can wear our work clothes with a clear conscience.

OWN STAFF 90% of Segers' range is made by our own staff. We were an early adopter of taking responsibility for good working conditions for all our employees. For many years, our code of conduct has been a natural part in the work to ensure healthy working conditions in our factories and at our suppliers. For many years we have owned our own production units in Ukraine, Estonia, and for the last few years also a unit in Pakistan, which give us full control. As a customer, you always have the opportunity to visit our factories to see how we work in terms of the environment and social responsibility. We have had several visits from customers, suppliers and other outside companies and organisations, including the JICA (Japanese International Co-operation Agency) who have visited us several times. The JICA is very impressed with our work on gender issues and presented Segers Pakistan at its seminar in Japan in September 2019. Segers, for example, has one of the few female cutters found in Pakistan. As an employee of Segers, among other things, you have the right to work in bright and hygienic premises with good heating and ventilation. You have the right to go home with payment even if the order books are not full. Working time is set according to each country's legislation and everyone receives compensation for overtime and paid leave, as well as provision for pension and insurance. Segers also takes responsibility for supporting the local community, outside the obvious employers' obligations. Everything from buying defibrillators for hospitals and materials for schools to sponsoring the local music school at our production unit in Ukraine.

Since 2018, Segers Pakistan has been affiliated with the Amfori Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) which is one of the world's largest sustainability initiatives to create more responsible supply chains. More than 2,000 member companies of Amfori BSCI use a single code of conduct to improve working conditions around the world. Regular audits are carried out by independent institutions. On our last audit in Pakistan, which was carried out in May 2019, we received the highest marks in all areas. We are very proud of this. FOR A CLEANER WORLD Modern and durable work clothes are a must in the restaurant and healthcare trade. But textile production is a strain on people and the environment. In order to take greater responsibility and lead the development towards more environmentally-friendly production, Segers is actively working on environmental issues.

SEGERS MAKES IT EASIER FOR SUPPLIERS The EU Chemicals Legislation REACH's list of risk chemicals SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern) is constantly changing and is difficult for the individual supplier to work with. Therefore Segers in association with external consultants has developed a tool to help the supplier focus on the risk chemicals relevant to the product they manufacture for us. We have developed a system to communicate and ensure that our suppliers have procedures to test the products they supply to us. Segers also takes random samples to verify that no banned or regulated substances are found in the products. As a member of the Chemicals Group at RISE (formerly. Swerea IVF), Segers receives continuous updates on changes to legislation, as well as support from their chemists. We also participate in research projects to replace products that are dangerous to the environment and for human health. Segers is looking at alternative solutions for a more sustainable world. For example, cotton growing needs huge amounts of water and is an unsustainable strain on the environment. As an alternative, we have introduced Tencel™ (lyocell) into our range, which is produced more sustainably and uses some BCI cotton to support the work with global and large-scale change in conventional cotton production. Recycled polyester is also included in our range.

WELL DRESSED WITH ACLEAR CONSCIENCE AMFORI-BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative)

OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100

One of the world's largest sustainability initiatives to create a more responsible supply chain. Amfori BSCI is run by the Foreign Trade Association (FTA) in Brussels. More than 2,000 member companies of Amfori BSCI use a single code of conduct to improve working conditions around the world. Segers Pakistan has been affiliated since 2018.

An international measurement of reliability throughout the entire textile chain. The requirements list contains over 100 parameters and should ensure that the textiles that pass the testing and are certified do not contain substances hazardous to health. 80 percent of Segers' range is certiﬁed in accordance with the Oeko-Tex standard. You can check at segers.com to see if an article is Öko-Tex certified.

ISO 9001 International standard for efficient and structured quality work. Internal working methods are reviewed through a number of basic principles. Constant improvements are made to increase efficiency and profitability. This ensures the quality of services and products. Segers certification in Pakistan was carried out in March 2019.

BCI (Better Cotton Initiative) This means that, through training, the use of insecticides, fertilisers and water is reduced, knowledge of soil and biodiversity is improved, the working conditions of cotton growers are improved, and information and knowledge exchange between growers is increased. A garment with a BCI stamp does not mean 100% BCI cotton but that as a member one contributes to BCI in their long-term commitment to global and large-scale change in conventional cotton production.

ISO 14001 The international standard for environmental work, pollution and environmental requirements. As early as 1998, Segers began work to introduce an environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001. Certification for Segers Borås was carried out in May 2000.

THE CHEMICAL GROUP, AT RISE IVF (formerly SWEREA IVF) Segers is part of the Chemicals Group at RISE, which continuously monitors the REACH registration and evaluation of new and old substances with textile connection. In order to ensure that our products do not pose health risks.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR SEGERS GARMENT! • Dark garments may contain excess dye. Wash before use.

Blood - Fresh blood – rinse the stain out in cold water. Old stain – soak in cold water. Cover the stain generously with salt, and allow it to absorb. Wash in cold water.

• Follow the instructions on the garment's laundry label. • Temperatures lower than those recommended can cause colour to run. • Do not use softener. It causes pilling. • Do not mix whites and colours in a wash. • Heavily-soiled garments must not be washed with light fabrics. • Special stain removal must be done before washing.

Grease - Sprinkle potato flour on the stain and leave to absorb overnight. Brush off and wash in warm soapy water. For leather stains, rub egg whites in and let the garment dry. Then rub with a linen rag. You can also try with regular washing up detergent. Hand disinfectant - You can remove stains by pouring a teaspoon of citric acid into the washing machine.

• Always try to remove stains while they are 'fresh'. • Do not load the machine too full. This may cause permanent creasing.

Coffee - Fresh stains are easily removed by cold water. Dried stains on white garments can be removed by dipping the stain into boiling hot water. For coloured garments brush with egg yolk dissolved in lukewarm water or milk.

• Never soak overnight. Instead, run a soaking programme. • Respect the highest drying temperature. • Never iron directly on a transfer print.

Ink - Wash in soapy water or citric acid solution (mix half a teaspoon of citric acid with 1 cup of water). Keep in mind that the citric acid bleaches.

HIGH C Most bacteria die at a temperature of 72°C but many work garments can only withstand 40-60°C washing. Most Segers garments can be washed at 85°C without compromising on quality or lifespan. A safer garment for a healthier work environment.

BATAVIA Segers' most exclusive cotton quality. Segers quality 650 (Batavia) has long-pile 100% cotton fibres. Batavia is a weaving technique that makes the fabric uniform. The name originates from a silk fabric made using the batavia technique. Batavia has a special white colour and fine shine in its finish. As with all exclusive things, a Batavia jacket must be treated with respect and care. All Segers' jackets in quality 650 can be washed at 85°C, provided there are no buttons or other accessories that need lower temperatures. However, it is still very important to follow the washing instructions carefully and not to use fabric conditioner. If bleach or other chemicals are needed, these should be used with great care for longer durability.

DENIM garment with indigo dye. It is important to note that garments with Indigo dye contain excess pigments and the colour can run when dry/wet before it is washed out. The majority of Segers' denim items are garment washed once before delivery, but indigo coloured garments often need several washes to stop colour run. The exact number of washes needed will depend on how light or dark the garment is. Remember that dry deposits can occur on light furniture, untreated wood, light clothing, underwear and shoes. Wash your denim garments inside out. Do not load the machine too full, as this can cause permanent creasing and excess dye is harder to wash out. Follow the garment's washing advice carefully, and wash with similar colours. Wash before use.

TENCEL™ or lyocell as the generic fibre is called, is produced out of natural raw materials and acts as a good alternative to cotton. TENCEL™ lyocell is made from cellulose from woods grown on sustainable plantations. The structure of the fibre allows them to let 50% more moisture through than cotton, is especially silky and soft on the skin and gives a cool feeling. It is also unfavourable to bacterial growth. RECYCLED POLYESTER The goods that Segers buys in with recycled polyester come from traceable, used PET bottles with GRS certificates that are chopped up, melted down and converted into small chips. The chips in turn are melted down and injection extruded into yarn, which is then woven into fabric along with other yarns.

XLA/POLYESTER T400 / ELASTANE XLA (also known as EOL and XLance), polyester T400 and elastane are all elastic synthetic fibres that make the fabric stretchy. What separates them, among other things, is how high a washing temperatures they can cope with and how they can withstand bleaching. XLA is the synthetic fibre that best can withstand 85°C. Polyester T400 does not have as high resilience as XLA and the elastane is the least durable of the elastic synthetic fibres that Segers has in its range.

WOOL GARMENTS high comfort - correct care is essential. It is very important you observe the washing instructions when you buy a garment that contains wool. Use a detergent that is designed for woollen garments and do not use a fabric softener. Wash the garment inside out, use the wool programme and then hang up to dry. Always use a press cloth when ironing. You should also air the garment from time to time. Use a clothes roller and brush to freshen up the garment. Avoid spraying perfume directly on the garment. We recommend you always store trousers hanging in their pressed creases. Blazers, waistcoats and skirts should be hung on hangers.

LEATHER how to care for leather articles. Regularly clean leather and suede. At least once per year if it is a frequently used item. Take a wet towel or cloth, rub in gall or saddle soap. Dry with a clean damp cloth. After cleaning it is important to re-moisturise the leather with leather grease. Leather grease must be applied on a clean surface. Use a lint-free cloth to apply the leather grease. Let it absorb for a few hours. Dry off the excess with another lint-free cloth. Store your leather items rolled up (not folded). Leather items that are not lined, but have the raw suede on the reverse, can shed or pill. This wears away over time and any suede lint that transfers onto other clothing can be simply brushed away. It is recommended that any suede lint stuck on another garment is brushed off before it is washed.

TWILL is a synonym for the twill textile weave, but has in Swedish become a general designation of various strong cotton fabrics woven with this technique. CANVAS is a strong fabric with coarse structure in plain weave. POPLIN is a fabric woven in plain weave. Poplin gets its properties by packing thin, fine yarns tightly. Particularly when very fine yarns are used, poplin gets a silky, light and soft feel and becomes smooth and soft when ironing. END ON END is quite a lightweight fabric. It is woven using a plain weave with a mix of yarns in several, very similar shades. This gives an irregular, mottled effect. DOMESTIC is a sturdy plain weave cotton fabric. In recent years, synthetic materials have also been blended in, for instance, 50% polyester. SATIN is based on the weave points on the fabric being barely visible, which gives a tight, flat but still smooth fabric. The shiny surface of the satin is obtained by pressing the cold fabric with a hot iron.

LABELLING OF GARMENTS Being seen and creating an image is essential.

LOGO EMBROIDERY For embroidery of company logos, we need a vector-based file. You specify the colours using PMS colour numbers. In the embroidery factory at segers.com, you can create a visual image of what you want your garments to look like with the logotype. It is not possible to order embroidered garments online, the retailer will contact Segers customer service regarding embroidery and transfer prints when placing the order.

TRANSFER PRINTS An attractive profile of your logo that is heat transferred directly onto the garment. Minimum order 50. Remember never to iron directly on a transfer print. Use a press cloth between.

The dimensions in the table below are body measurements. The dimensions are taken wearing underwear. Width for movement has already been added to each model and varies according to model.

The C140 RANGE has an additional 6 cm for the inseam length of each size. Segers' +range has an additional 8 cm at the hips in each size.

The C150 RANGE has an additional 6 cm for the inseam length of each size. For the D100 RANGE, the inseam length has been reduced by 4 cm in each size.

Garments with a more generous fit. Segers has developed a line that we call + (plus). TheÂ aim is to provide clothing for those of us who have a more curvy figure. You choose your size based on your chest measurement - this + model of tunic is more A-line with more generous measurements over the hips. Remember that when you select sizes for your top and bottom, always use your chest and hip measurements respectively. These measurements do not always give the same garment size.
