Gustav Segerqvist moved into town to work as a carpenter. Gustav said goodbye to construction work, bought a bike and a suitcase and set out to sell goods... Segers' history starts in 1943, when Gustav Segerqvist established a ready-made garments business. Gustav's father had been a door-to-door salesman, so commerce was in the family's blood. Gustav ran the business for several decades until 1978, when daughter Mona took it over. She began to focus more on the production of lightweight workwear, particularly for restaurants, where Mona soon built personal relationships with the chefs of the day. Production was spread across small units in the immediate locality, mainly in the form of home dressmakers. In 1984, son Roger took over the reins at Segers. This was the starting point for the development of Segers that has led to the company's strong market position today. The company opened its first factory in 1996, in Estonia, followed in 2006 by another production facility in Ukraine. Today, Segers owns the entire production chain, from manufacturing in their own factories to in-house design and product development, and â&#x20AC;&#x201C; as we have for 40 years â&#x20AC;&#x201C; in close partnership with our customers. Segers celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2013, and established new sales offices in Estonia (for the Baltic market) and the Netherlands (for the Benelux countries).

STAINS • Always try to remove stains when they are "fresh". • Blood – Remove the stain immediately with cold water. Then wash with hot water and an enzyme detergent containing perborate. • Grease – Remove immediately using the minimum of acetone, petrol or methylated spirits.

Organic cotton The definition for garments in "organic cotton" is: the cotton is grown and the fabric manufactured up to final production in compliance with the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) criteria. Final production is covered by the Oeko-Tex certificate.
