Welcome to ASAP Ministries’ Gift Catalog. Each page offers a glimpse into the lives of our workers, the projects they champion, and the incredible ways God is moving. Your generosity directly fuels this life-changing work in Southeast Asia.
When you give, the impact is immediate and profound— whether you’re helping educate young minds for eternity in our mission schools or supporting a church planter bringing the light of Christ to an unreached village. Every project is thoughtfully designed to reach new people groups and extend the gospel to nearby tribes, breaking down barriers and building bridges of faith.
In Romans 15, we are reminded, “How will they go unless they are sent? How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the good news, the gospel of peace.” The gospel commission is not bound by borders or comfort zones. Jesus calls us to reach every corner of the earth, especially regions like the 10/40 Window, where many have yet to hear His name.
By supporting these projects, you are helping to fulfill this mission, spreading the gospel of hope and salvation across Southeast Asia. Thank you for partnering with us in this vital work. Together, we are sharing the love of Christ with those who need it most.
For His Glory,
Darryl Hosford President

EVANGELISM
Ask God to strengthen and encourage ASAP church planters in their work and help them win the confidence of their community.
If there was one thing that Nwe Thazin* wanted, it was for her husband, Aung Kyaw*, to know Jesus and come to church with her. Aung Kyaw was a Buddhist who worshiped idols and served as the village witch doctor. Nwe Thazin lives in a village in Myanmar where Myo Hla* serves as an ASAP church planter. When he visited her, it always made his heart sad to see the flowers, food, and candles Nwe Thazin’s husband was offering to the idols. Myo Hla and Nwe Thazin prayed, “Lord, please work in Aung Kyaw’s life and put in his heart a desire to serve You. Please turn his heart toward You.”
After a few months of praying, Aung Kyaw started attending church with Nwe Thazin. Myo Hla did all he could to befriend him and win his confidence. Eventually, after a year of reaching out to him, Aung Kyaw was willing to have Bible studies, and after some cottage meetings, he asked Myo Hla if he could be baptized.
Like many who experience baptism, Myo Hla was a little worried that Aung Kyaw’s conversion might not be sincere. But to his joy, when he visited Nwe Thazin and Aung Kyaw’s home, he found that Aung Kyaw had removed all his idols and replaced them with the Bible, Spirit of Prophecy books, and Sabbath school lessons. Myo Hla said, “I am so thankful to God and praise Him in my heart for Aung Kyaw's sincere conversion. Now, he is a deacon of our church and supports many church activities. God can transform hearts of stone into hearts of flesh!”
By supporting a church planter you are working with God to open the way for people in difficult and dark places to turn and follow Him.
Gift #2 Support one or more church planters at $170 each per month, or $2,040 each for one year.

Mobilize Medical Missionaries
Countries: Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand
Funding Goal: $130,000
Cambodian ASAP medical missionary Chan Phally met Youk Yim walking slowly across the road. “Would you mind if I visited your home?” she asked. “Yes, please come,” Youk Yim invited. He shared that he was suffering from hypertension, and a stroke had left one side of his body weak.
Immediately, Chan Phally asked, “Would you be open to trying a hot and cold treatment?” He agreed, and she quickly gathered a kettle, basin, and towel. As she began the treatment, she prayed, “Dear heavenly Father, please touch Youk Yim with your mighty hand and forgive our sins. We believe in you, Lord, the great physician. Amen.”
After 15 minutes, Chan Phally concluded the treatment with another prayer of thanks. Youk Yim’s face lit up as he confessed, “I feel something in my body, a tingling, and it feels...better.”
Every Wednesday, Chan Phally visited Mr. Youk Yim to provide hot and cold treatments. A few weeks later, something miraculous happened. As Chan Phally entered his home, Youk Yim exclaimed, “Thanks be to Jesus! He is truly the mighty God! My health improves daily; I can lift my hand again and even move my feet!” With tears in his eyes, he vowed to attend worship every Sabbath day. He eagerly immersed himself in Bible study, and his heart is now set on baptism.
ASAP medical missionaries are bringing healing and the light of God’s love into the lives of the people living in the communities they serve.

Build a Health Care Center in Myanmar
Country: Myanmar
Funding Goal: $4,500
ASAP medical missionary Nyein Chan* is passionate about reaching his community with the gospel. Each day, he spends time with those who are sick, sharing health knowledge with them and conducting morning and evening devotions.
Noticing that most of the community did not take their health seriously, Nyein Chan conducted a medical check-up event for them. To his amazement, more than fifty people attended the event, expressed their gratitude, and begged him to organize similar events in the future.
Join us in building a health care center where local missionaries can connect with villagers. Addressing basic needs and offering health education will provide them with opportunities to share the gospel with their community.

Eager to attend ASAP worker training in Myanmar, one week before the start date, Dedan Htun* embarked on the long journey to attend this not-to-be-missed event. He was excited to spend time with fellow missionaries, but travel was not going to be easy. First, there was a 24-hour boat trip, followed by a long road trip to the next destination, and then finally, yet another road trip took him to the training center.
Working as a church planter in a small village can sometimes be lonely. Dedan Htun was eager to meet and talk with other church planters. He was also anxious to learn all he could during the training so that he could be more successful in sharing the gospel in his village.
Dedan Htun said, “It is so wonderful to be together with other missionaries! The singing and studies during morning worship have greatly inspired me. The health lectures and training have given me new tools to use in reaching my community. The practical training using the skills I have learned has shown me that the methods I have learned work!”
At the end of the training, Dedan Htun shared on the survey he turned in, “This training has encouraged me, and as I go home, it has given me new inspiration for reaching out to my community. I am so thankful for this training and would really like to attend again next year.”
When you support ASAP worker training, you are helping to encourage local missionaries and equipping them to work more effectively to share the gospel with their communities.

Many families face the daily struggle of surviving without access to basic necessities like clean water, food, and medical care. Providing humanitarian aid to the poor and refugees not only meets critical needs but also softens hearts, creating opportunities for local missionaries to share the gospel.
Provide for Refugees | $115,000

Your gift, no matter the size, will make a significant impact. Help Build a Bridge | $2,300

The villagers are very poor and have no way of building a new bridge. Funding a new bridge for the villagers will have a very positive impact on the community, increase the influence of our church, and open the hearts of the villagers to the gospel.

Laying Foundations for Faith
Countries: Laos, Myanmar
Funding Goal: $92,000
Unheard by human ears but heard by God, prayers from devoted church members are ascending, asking Him to provide them with a place to worship, that His name might be honored, and that many would join them in worshiping Him. These are four of the many churches that are being prayed for.
Khao Noi* Church Building Project | $4,400
Phanousith* started sharing Christ with his family and friends in Khao Noi Village nine years ago. Now, there are 20 baptized members, and up to 40 people meet for church in his small home. A new church building will help them gain respect from community members. It will serve as a multi-purpose building, providing a place for members to worship and as a center of influence for giving health lectures and training.
Minyaung* Village, House-Church Renovation | $9,300
Nine years ago, this church was built using wooden poles. Church members worshiped on the upper level, while the lower level was bare ground. The lower beams of the building had rotted, and more recently, a cyclone severely damaged it, making it unusable. This renovation project aims to restore the house-church and construct a room on the ground level for children’s Sabbath School classes. Additionally, it will provide a space to teach English to the village’s children.
Sindaung* Village House-Church Building | $10,500
Built many years ago, this house-church is now in disrepair. The tin roof is rusted and full of holes, and weakened posts have made the building unsafe for worship. As a result, the congregation now meets in various members’ homes. The much-needed new single-story house-church will provide a multi-purpose hall accommodating 40-50 people. It will serve as a place of worship and a venue for the church planter to provide music training for the village youth. Additionally, the building will include living quarters for the church planter and his family, a bathroom, and a kitchen.
Ngalay Lwin* Church Building | $8,050
A congregation of about 30 members, many of whom are humble farmers, gather each Sabbath at the pastor’s modest home to worship. Aware of the need for a dedicated place of worship, a generous community member donated a piece of land for a new church. This new building will be more than just a place for worship; it will be a place where villagers can come together to deepen their faith, host evangelistic meetings, offer training, hold youth meetings, and present health programs to serve the community. Their dream is to build a space that will meet their village’s physical and spiritual needs.

Singing spiritual songs moves hearts and deepens faith and commitment to God, but only 4,000 out of the 14,700 church members in Vietnam have access to hymnals. With your help, we can provide 10,000 hymnals in the Vietnamese language so that every Adventist can enjoy a richer worship experience.
Translate Bible Studies | $58,300
One of the greatest blessings of the Christian faith is the ability to read and understand God’s Word personally. When people can study the Bible in their own language, it becomes a personal conversation with God. This project will translate ASAP Ministries’ new Bible studies for Buddhists into the Burmese, Hmong, Lao, Karen, Khmer, Thai, and Vietnamese languages.
Bibles For Students | $17,100
Imagine the impact of placing Bibles in the hands of students eager to learn about Jesus. In the West Thailand Region (WTR), over 4,800 students have been introduced to Christ through ASAP mission schools; however, they lack personal access to the Bible. In North America, Southeast Asian pastors and church planters are leading congregations that are often overlooked. These communities desperately need culturally sensitive leaders who speak their language and understand their unique challenges. Supported by competent leaders, these churches grow and flourish and, in turn, share the gospel with their communities.
Judy Aitken Memorial Scholarship Fund | $35,000

Thirteen-year-old Shwe Zin* attends ASAP-sponsored Bwei Teing* mission school in Myanmar. She comes from a big family and is the sixth of nine siblings. Seeing her bright smile, you would never know that life is not always easy for her.
Shwe Zin shares, “My path to faith began when I started attending Bwei Teing school. Coming from a Buddhist family, I didn’t know anything about Jesus. As I heard the wonderful stories about Jesus at school and my teacher’s house, something inside me began to change. I wanted to know more about Him, and as I learned more and more, I knew that I wanted to follow Jesus and have Him as my friend.”
Shwe Zin’s family was unhappy when she was baptized, and being the only Christian in her family hasn’t been easy for her. Shwe Zin says, “My brothers and sisters, especially my oldest brother, often scold me and criticize my faith. They tell me that I am a disgrace to our family and that I should be ashamed of myself. But Jesus helps me, and I don’t let my family’s mean words discourage me. Even though I face many challenges at home, I’m determined to serve God faithfully.
I am so thankful to attend Bwei Teing school, where I can be with my friends, play, attend church, and sing. Music is a big part of my life, and I have high hopes for the future—I dream of becoming a nurse. I know that God has a special plan for me, and I am ready to fulfill my part in His plan.”
When you give to ASAP Ministries’ Education Fund, you are making it possible for marginalized students like Shwe Zin to attend ASAP mission schools where they can receive a good education and learn about Jesus.
Uplift an At-risk Child
Countries: Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand
Funding Goal: $252,720
In a small, rented room in bustling Phnom Penh, an eight-year-old boy named Chantrea lives with his mother and grandmother. Before attending ASAP-sponsored Chamroeun Phal Adventist School, Chantrea had never heard of Jesus or God. He wasn’t always the helpful, hardworking boy he is today. His mother often struggled with his disobedience, his schoolwork was slipping, and his life was headed for disaster.
Attending Chamroeun Phal Adventist School opened the door to a new life for Chantrea as the stories he heard at school began to spark something within him. He learned more about faith and prayer and decided to ask Jesus for help. Chantrea began praying for a change in his attitude, success in his studies, and a better relationship with his family. Little by little, his grades improved, and for the first time, his mother was proud of his behavior.
Fear gripped the young boy’s heart when his grandmother became ill, and he didn’t know what to do. He approached his teacher and asked, “Teacher, can you pray for my grandmother?” A week later, Chantrea came back, his face glowing with relief. “Thank you, Teacher, for your prayers. Today, my grandmother is feeling better than yesterday. Thank you, Jesus, for healing her.”
Hearing those words, Chantrea’s teacher was speechless, overwhelmed with gratitude and awe at the power of prayer that had worked such a miracle. Chantrea’s faith had not only helped him in his own life but had also brought healing to his beloved grandmother. Now, Chantrea faithfully attends church every Sabbath. His journey is just beginning, and he and his family continue to grow in faith. When you sponsor a student, your gift makes a life-changing difference, not only to the student but also to their family.

Educating for Eternity
Countries: Cambodia, Myanmar
Funding Goal: $1,180,000
Nyein Chan* is a fourth-grader with a big heart attending ASAP-supported Maw Katha* Adventist School in Myanmar. “Life has been challenging for us,” she shared. “I’m the oldest in a family of five children. My father struggles with his health, and it’s hard for him to work and support our family. We don’t have a permanent home, so we live in a simple bamboo tent in a cramped space beside my aunt’s house.”
Despite the difficulties, Nyein Chan’s love for learning is unwavering. She is passionate about reading and discovering new things. She pleaded with her parents not to take her out of school to work, as she firmly believes that education is the key to a brighter future. With a beaming face, she shared, “The best thing about attending Maw Katha school is that I have learned about the God who loves me and wants to be my friend. Last year, when I was 12, I decided to be baptized, and it felt like a new beginning for me. I often pray for my family and friends, hoping they will also give their hearts to Jesus.”
Nyein Chan is eager to finish her studies and dreams of graduating and using her knowledge to support her family and spread the gospel. She feels a deep calling to help hasten the second coming of Jesus Christ by sharing the good news with her parents, relatives, and the people in her village.
When you support an ASAP mission school, you are not just providing education. You are empowering marginalized children like Nyein Chan, giving them a better future both in this life and for eternity.

A lace for Faith to Flourish
Country: Cambodia
Funding Goal: $350,000
Christian education and dedicated ASAP teachers are making a big difference in the lives of Southeast Asian children. Phoun Somphor teaches Grade 6 at Samraong Adventist School. “Being a teacher is like being a parent,” she shares, “I am always concerned when my students are struggling or sick. One of my students, Sokha Khun* struggled with depression and often disrupted class. I started praying for her; over time, she became happier and did better in her studies.
My goal has always been to lead my students to Christ. We study the Bible and pray together weekly during the school year.” Phoun Somphor was overjoyed when four of her students decided to be baptized! But not everyone shared her joy. One student’s parents threatened to disown their child if she was baptized, although eventually, they did agree to it.
Samraong Adventist School only goes to grade 6, and the only option students have for completing their education is to attend a government high school where Saturday attendance is required. They now find themselves torn between their education and their desire to be faithful to God. Being absent from school for more than three days has serious consequences—warnings, loss of exam privileges, and the risk of failing the school year.
Join us in building the second ASAP High School in Cambodia. With your help, we can create a place where students can continue to grow academically and spiritually— without compromise.

Strengthen Growing Schools
Country: Myanmar
Funding Goal: $71,300
Cafeteria for Saing Mar* Boarding School | $7,500
Located in a remote part of Myanmar, Saing Mar* Boarding School urgently needs a new cafeteria. This facility will accommodate all its students during school hours and serve as classrooms for grades without dedicated rooms. Moreover, the building will host various school, church, and outreach events, including health, evangelistic, and youth meetings, where villagers are encouraged to participate.
Dormitory Building for Hkai Mai* Adventist School | $8,200
Children from nine different villages attend Hkai Mai Adventist School. Due to a lack of rooms, the upper floor of the two-story school building is currently being used as the girls’ dormitory, and some workers’ residences are used as classrooms during the day. Help us build a new dormitory that will accommodate 35-40 female students.
Nah Laihka* School Building Project | $9,400
This project will expand the existing school building to accommodate the growing student population and benefit over 100 students. This expansion includes adding classrooms and incorporating spaces for spiritual growth, such as Bible studies. It will enhance the learning environment for both students and teachers, providing adequate space for effective education.
Five Teacher Residences in Myanmar | $20,600
There is a critical need for staff housing at Karen schools in Myanmar. Some schools do not have accommodation for their teachers, so they live in the homes of church members or villagers, or even sometimes in their classrooms. The lack of proper housing significantly burdens teachers, causing them undue stress, fatigue, and discouragement. Providing homes for teachers will help them perform at their best to provide the focused instruction and support students need to thrive.
Hsi Kan Taw* School Building Project | $25,600
The much-needed new school building at Hsi Kan Taw School needs to be completed. Due to Myanmar’s economic and political instability, the price of building materials has tripled, and the school building is currently halfway to completion. The church members and local villages are contributing as much as possible, but it is not enough. Please help us complete this much-needed school building, ensuring a better future for students in this community.
