“Let us thank God for His priceless gift!” 2 Corinthians 9:15 Take a moment to contemplate one of the best gifts you ever received. Was it expensive? How long did it last? Now compare that gift to the priceless gift of eternal life which was made possible through the sacrifice Jesus made on Calvary. How can you possibly thank God for a gift of this magnitude? You can do this by simply giving what God asks of you. It says in His Word, “He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God,” (Micah 6:8 NIV). The ASAP Priceless Gift Catalog offers a number of ways in which you can express your gratitude to God for His priceless gift during the holiday season and throughout the year. By giving to gift #301 you act justly because every child should have the right to an education and have a chance to learn about Jesus. By sponsoring a missionary who reveals the truth of a loving God to a lost soul in Southeast Asia, you can show mercy. We invite you to join us in showing gratitude to our heavenly Father by choosing a project today. For a complete listing of ASAP’s life-changing projects, visit asapministries.org.

“My burden is how to draw the Animists and Buddhists in my Shan State to esus Christ. l am trying my best, but l know the results are in God’s hands. Please pray for me to be a more effective worker for God.” church planter ko win*, from myanmar

The shepherds, in their excitement, could not withhold the amazing things they experienced on that night in Bethlehem. They relayed the magnificent angelic display and the incredible birth of their Savior with everyone they encountered (Luke 2:17,18) and in doing so, became the first missionaries after Jesus’ birth. In the same way, ASAP missionaries in Southeast Asia, though simple and humble like the shepherds, find great joy in sharing Jesus with many they meet. The Holy Spirit empowers them as they witness to their indigenous people from Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Myanmar (Burma). ASAP church planters’ knowledge of language and culture, as well as connection to the community, make them the most effective, cost efficient instruments in God’s hands in Cambodia, Thailand and Myanmar. #102

Sponsor a Lay-Pastor

$70/month in Vietnam, $80/month in Laos

ASAP lay-pastors give all and risk all for the sake of spreading the gospel. Our workers in Vietnam and Laos understand that they are called to “endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ,” (2 Tim 2:3). Many suffer alienation and harassment from the government or family members because of their faith. By sponsoring a lay-pastor, you fulfill God’s directive in Hebrews 13:3 where He says, “Remember the prisoners as if chained with them—those who are mistreated—since you yourselves are in the body also.”

#103

Send the Master Healer to the Sick through a Medical Missionary

$100/month in Myanmar, $150/month in Thailand, $30/month in Cambodia

In answer to our prayer for more laborers, the number of trained medical missionaries continues to grow each year. Now with your help, we can send them into the fields which “are already white for harvest!” (John 4:35). The Master Healer uses the loving touch and faith-filled prayers of medical missionaries to not only bring physical healing, but also healing of the soul. Their “magical” cures prove much more effective than that of a village shaman.

#104

Empower a Youth Evangelist

$40/month in Vietnam or $2,500 for the youth program

Give young people greater opportunities to share Jesus in Vietnam. As a youth evangelist, a college-age student courageously leads out in Bible study groups and active outreach endeavors.

“l am thankful to the Lord because He blessed us with many DVD sermons for our big evangelism outreach campaign last Spring. lt is a miracle that the Lord protected the DVDs from the police. Through the Holy Spirit, we brought 700 new believers to the truth.” lay-pastor nguyen cang*, from vietnam

Your support for evangelism projects in this section provides some of the tools ASAP missionaries need to accomplish their God-given vision. “He who had rained manna from heaven for Israel and had fed Elijah in the time of famine provided in a heathen land a refuge for Mary and the child Jesus. And through the gifts of the magi from a heathen country, the Lord supplied the means for the journey into Egypt and the sojourn in a land of strangers” (Desire of Ages, pg.65). In the same way, God will equip His missionaries in Southeast Asia.

$65/DVD player and sermon set for a house-church in Vietnam

“My little brother cried non-stop for two days because of terrible stomach pain. My mother and the neighbors did not know what to do because we had no money to take him to the hospital. Then l remembered to pray. l said, “Dear esus, please heal my brother. l know you can because you made Him and you can do anything.” When l finished praying, he had stopped crying. Then l remembered to pray again and tell esus, “Thank you!” sreyleak pov, feed & read student

“Love, the basis of creation and of redemption, is the basis of true education,” (Education, pg. 16). Each ASAP education project exists and grows out of love for the under-privileged women and children in Southeast Asia. Each meal is prepared with a heart of love. Each lesson the literacy teachers teach, is taught in a spirit of love. Through this process, the recipients get to know God, their merciful Father for the first time and many cannot help but fall in love with Him. Your “love gifts” for these projects helps ASAP offer the truest and best form of education to the illiterate in Southeast Asia. #301

Save a Child through Education

$240/year or $20/month to help educate one student

In Southeast Asia, children get handed over to human traffickers by poor parents who believe the false promises of a better life for them. Combat evil by praying for the children and helping one child escape backbreaking labor, scavenging, begging and child prostitution. Your gift of less than a dollar a day will make Christian education possible for many. On top of getting a quality education, students in the Feed & Read schools get one healthy meal and are fed the stories of Jesus daily.

#302

Equip One Child with Basic School Supplies

$30 provides supplies for one student

Cambodia is one of the poorest countries in the world and children consider it a privilege, not burdensome, to attend school. Many parents cannot pay for school supplies and thus, their children cannot even attend public school. Your $30 gift will provide one student with a school uniform, school shoes, and a backpack full of school supplies so they are ready for school.

#303

Put One Literacy Teacher to Work

$40/month

Help one Christian literacy teacher realize his/her God-given potential by offering a small stipend to teach illiterate women and children how to read and write. This simple yet effective Christ-centered program uses the Bible as a textbook and meets in churches on week-day evenings.

#304

Build a School/Church

$700 will provide materials to build one bamboo & thatch structure

Bamboo schools/churches, simple yet sturdy buildings that allow people to come together to learn and worship, are answers to prayer for multiple groups meeting outside or in small homes. ASAP has plans to build more permanent schools and churches as well. Please contact the our office for details on these special building projects.

“ln the past the church members did not have water in my village. The women and children had to walk on a steep path every day to fetch water. Five Adventist families, including my family prayed for a long time for God to help us. We thank God for answering our prayers through kind people in America who gave us a water system. The water is shared with seventeen families in the village. Now four more of these families accepted esus, the Water of Life.” lay pastor khamlar, from laos

“From the manger to the cross, the life of Jesus was a call to selfsurrender, and to the fellowship in suffering,” (Desire of Ages, pg. 59). He entered this world in a crude, smelly stable to be one with the destitute and lived a humble life of service to the sick and suffering to set an example for our lives and ministry. Your sacrificial gifts for humanitarian projects fuel the ASAP missionaries’ compassionate efforts to meet the wounded where they are. Every humanitarian project is intimately linked to the mission of ASAP to reach the suffering for Christ. Visit asapministries.org/testimonies to read stories of how caring acts opened the doors to sharing Jesus.

Give Clean Well Water

$250 for a hand-dug well—$6,000 for a deep drilled well

Many women and children walk miles a day to fetch clean water that often is unsafe to drink. In response to this need, ASAP builds or repairs fresh-water wells, along with providing pumps, pipes and water urns. Through your gift, many will hear first time of the merciful God who promises, “With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation,” (Isaiah 12:3 NIV).

#402

Stitches for Eternity

$230 for one sewing machine, $4,000 to start one sewing school

The world can be a cruel place for uneducated young women and widows who have no feasible way to support themselves and their children. More often than not, they end up exploited, ostracized and abused. One of the best ways of prevention is to give the vulnerable an opportunity to learn a skill, such as sewing, which can generate a modest income to meet their needs. By supporting ASAP’s vocational sewing schools, you can change the course of many lives.

#403

Supply One Child with Clothing

$10 will buy one outfit for a destitute child

For many people who have difficulty putting food on the table, clothing for their children is considered a luxury they cannot afford. Your gift will outfit one child and give him or her dignity.

#404

Feed a Family in Crisis

$40 to provide rice for a family for one month

When SDA church members encounter loss of job, violent conflict, sickness, or natural disasters such as droughts and floods, ASAP missionaries step in and help take care of their most basic needs. Because national missionaries survive on a small stipend, they share the little they have, but ask you to join them in showing God’s mercy during crisis.
