Welcome to the 2022 Flat Season at Ascot where prize money on offer will be a record £13,360,500, excluding the industry-owned QIPCO British Champions Day in October. Royal Ascot (14th – 18th June 2022) will be worth £8,652,500, an increase of £1,322,500 (18%) on 2019 values which totalled £7,330,000. The Royal Ascot Tuesday card, featuring three Group One races, becomes Royal Ascot’s first £2 million day. The Prince of Wales’s Stakes and the Platinum (formerly Diamond) Jubilee Stakes will become the first races at Royal Ascot to be run with a total prize fund of £1 million.
These will be awarded £20,000 to the trainers and £5,000 to stable staff across the top three performing yards based on points achieved for first to fifth placings. Full information regarding owners and trainers' information can be found within these pages and on behalf of the Ascot Team, we very much look forward to welcoming you in 2022.
No race at Royal Ascot will be run for less than £100,000 and indeed, no race on the flat will be run for less than £15,000 over the season. A record £550,000 will be offered at the Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup (from £360,000 in 2019). The programme will increase to eight races (from six) with 12 runners in each race (from 10). There will be additional £25,000 stable prizes offered on both QIPCO King George Diamond Day (23rd July 2022) and Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup Day (6th August 2022).

Owners are of the utmost importance to the team at Ascot Racecourse and we look forward to welcoming you on course with your runner.
BADGE INFORMATION
Appreciating that racehorse ownership now comes in many forms, we aim to accommodate all owner groups on a raceday to the best of our ability. If you require any further information outside of the following or have any special requests then please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the dedicated team, whose details can be found at the back of the brochure.
Owners are entitled to OWNER/TRAINER badges on the day their horse(s) run. Outside of Royal Ascot, these will gain entry to the racecourse, to the Owners and Trainers' facilities, to the Owners and Trainers' viewing, to the King Edward VII areas (as long as the Dress Code is adhered to) and to the Pre-Parade Ring and Parade Ring.
GOING
If you have a runner at Ascot and would like to apply for badges, please contact the Owners and Trainers’ Team on ownersandtrainers@ascot.com and they will be able to assist you.
Up to the minute going reports are available from Chris Stickels, Clerk of the Course. Please call 01344 878502 or 07970 621440.
BADGE COLLECTION All badges relating to connections with runners on the day can be collected from the Owners and Trainers’ Desk, accessible via Ticket Office West and located opposite Car Park 2. This dedicated entrance offers an efficient collection service and is also located conveniently next to the on-course Owners and Trainers’ facilities. Badges are allocated against each horse in a per race queueing system and we do ask that all owners bring identification or their PASS card with them when collecting their badges. Please note, badges collection for Royal Ascot differs and will be in the same marquee in Car Park 2.

BADGE ALLOCATION All owners are entitled to six complimentary OWNER/TRAINER badges per runner. We also allocate six lunch tickets per runner which gain the recipients access to the dining room and complimentary lunch. We understand that having a runner at Ascot is very exciting and whilst we do try to help accommodate all owners where possible, badge allocation is at the discretion of the racecourse management and dependent on space available. If you would like to discuss the possibility of purchasing more badges and lunch, if available, then please call the Owners and Trainers’ Team on 01344 878529 or by emailing ownersandtrainers@ascot.com Please note, badge allocation for Royal Ascot differs and separate literature will be circulated regarding this.
TRAINERS Trainers can gain entry to the course with their metal NTF badges. Trainers with runners are then entitled to two OWNER/TRAINER badges for guests on the day. Trainers with runners are also entitled to lunch for themselves and a guest. They can gain access to the dining room with their metal NTF badge, or can collect a lunch ticket from the Owners and Trainers’ Desk upon arrival. If you do not have a metal NTF badge, please book a lunch ticket in advance with the Owners and Trainers’ Team (01344 878529 or ownersandtrainers@ascot.com). Please note, metal NTF badges are not valid for Royal Ascot.
JOCKEYS Jockeys can gain entry to the course with their metal PJA badges. Jockeys with a ride on the day are then entitled to two OWNER/TRAINER badges for guests on the day. They can arrange these upon arrival, in advance via the PJA or by email to ownersandtrainers@ascot.com. Please note that jockey’s guest badges will not be released unless the jockey has requested them in person or in advance. Please note, metal PJA badges are not valid for Royal Ascot. A physiotherapist will be on site for all racedays to carry out treatment.
METAL BADGES NTF and PJA metal badges are valid for all Flat fixtures excluding Royal Ascot. Hexagonal RCA badges are valid for all Flat fixtures except for Royal Ascot and QIPCO British Champions Day but do not permit access to the Owners and Trainers’ facilities on any day.

ROYAL ASCOT TRIALS DAY
QIPCO KING GEORGE DIAMOND DAY
Since 2019, Royal Ascot Trials Day has provided the perfect preparation for horses before June. With 2020 abandoned due to the pandemic, the two runnings of the day since launch have already produced several horses that have won or placed at the Royal Meeting.
QIPCO King George Diamond Day, Saturday 23rd July, sees total prize money of over £1.7m on offer, plus bonus payments totalling £25,000 to the leading yards.
Stradivarius and Dee Ex Bee won the Longines Sagaro Stakes before running well in the Gold Cup while Cleonte was third in the Group 3 stayers race before winning the Queen Alexandra Stakes in 2019.
The bonuses will be paid out to the top three stables, split between the trainer and stable staff. The winners will be determined based on points accumulated in each race throughout the day as follows: 1st – 15 points
Last year, Rohaan won the Group 3 Pavilion Stakes before following up in the Wokingham Stakes at Royal Ascot over the same course and distance. As well as those two races, the Listed Paradise Stakes over the straight mile can be used as a Queen Anne Stakes preparation, as showed to perfection by Accidental Agent in 2018. The Royal Ascot Two-Year-Old Trial has proved the most useful guide to the Royal Meeting though having been claimed by Chipotle last year who went on to success in the Windsor Castle Stakes while in 2019 Ventura Rebel so nearly also completed the double when finishing second in the Group 2 Norfolk Stakes. The race will be free to enter again and Ascot Racecourse will also offer complimentary entry to the winner for one of the six two-year-old races at Royal Ascot.
