WELCOME TO THE 2019/2020 JUMPS SEASON AT ASCOT We were fortunate enough to see Cyrname, the highest-rated British Jumps horse, make three appearances at Ascot during last season, culminating in an impressive win in the Grade 1 Betfair Ascot Chase. The progressive Paisley Park recorded his first Grade 1 win here in the JLT (Long Walk) Hurdle in December, before victory at the Cheltenham Festival. Another highlight of the season was, of course, the appearance of Altior, who won the 2019 renewal of the Grade 1 Matchbook Clarence House Chase en route to a further two Grade 1 wins. The introduction of the £125,000 Gerard Bertrand Hurst Park Chase was well received last year and we look forward to another competitive renewal on Saturday 23rd November. During that weekend we will be hosting a number of racing clubs and syndicates as part of a Discover Racehorse Ownership theme to promote ownership in both codes.
4
Following their introduction for the 2018/19 season, we will again be using One Fit Padded Hurdles throughout our Jumps season. Continuing our relationship with Listowel Races, we are again offering Irish-trained horses placed in the top four of the 2019 Guinness Kerry National a £10,000 bonus if they win either the Grade 3 Sodexo Gold Cup on Saturday 2nd November or the Listed Silver Cup Handicap Steeple Chase on Saturday 21st December. Additionally this year, in conjunction with Betfair, we will be introducing a new bonus to our programme whereby £100,000 will be offered to any horse who can win both the Betfair Exchange Trophy at Ascot in December and the Betfair Hurdle at Newbury in February 2020. Further information regarding both the above bonuses can be found on page 14. We look forward to welcoming you back.

BADGE INFORMATION OWNERS We understand that having a day out to watch your horse run is an exciting occasion and hope to make it as memorable and enjoyable as possible. Provided the dress code is adhered to, OWNER/TRAINER badges provide the equivalent access to a King Edward VII enclosure badge but they also permit entry to the Owners’ and Trainers’ facilities, including the trackside dedicated viewing area. Access to the Pre-Parade Ring and the Parade Ring is also permitted with OWNER/TRAINER badges.
6
All owners with runners on the day are entitled to up to six OWNER/ TRAINER badges along with six complimentary lunches. Lunch tickets may be collected with badges, and lunch must be booked in advance using the lunch booking form sent via Weatherbys to the registered owner's address. Alternatively the form can be found on our website, at ascot.co.uk/owners-trainers-ascot-racedays/badge-allocation Complimentary lunch is served in the Old Paddock Dining Room during the Jumps season. Appreciating that racehorse ownership comes in all forms, we do endeavour to accommodate all connections where possible.
TRAINERS
HOW TO BOOK
Trainers can gain entry to the course using their metal NTF Badge. Those with runners on the day are also entitled to two OWNER/TRAINER badges.
For more information on badges and access, to discuss your requirements, or to book a lunch ticket, please contact Olivia Hills, Owners’ & Trainers’ Manager, on 01344 878529 or olivia.hills@ascot.co.uk.
Trainers with runners are also entitled to lunch for themselves and a guest. They can gain access to the dining room with their metal NTF badge, or collect a lunch ticket from the Owners' & Trainers' desk upon arrival. If you do not have a metal NTF badge, please book a lunch ticket in advance.
JOCKEYS Jockeys can gain entry to the course using their metal PJA Badge. Those with rides on the day are entitled to two OWNER/TRAINER badges which may be collected from the Trainer/Jockey desk in the Owners’ & Trainers’ Entrance. Badges can be arranged on the day or in advance. Please note that jockey’s guest badges will not be released unless the jockey has requested them in person or in advance. A physiotherapist will be on site at all racedays for those who require treatment.
BADGE COLLECTION Badge collection is from the Owners’ & Trainers’ Desk in Ticket Office West. This is the white brick building located next to the West turnstiles. Badges will always be left against a horse’s name unless specified otherwise. We ask that all connections collecting badges to bring photographic identification as well as their PASS Card.
METAL BADGES NTF, PJA and RCA metal badges are valid at all of our Jumps fixtures. RCA badges will not gain entry to the Owners' & Trainers' facilities.
GOING Up to the minute Going reports are available from Chris Stickels, Head of Racing & Clerk of the Course. Please call 01344 878502 or 07970 621440. Going Reports are also available on our website, ascot.co.uk.

GENERAL INFORMATION DRESS CODE Ladies generally opt to dress as for a smart occasion. Gentlemen usually wear a jacket with a collared shirt and tie. Whilst this style of dress is preferred in the King Edward VII enclosure during the Jumps season, it is not compulsory.
HOSPITALITY AND DINING We offer owners with runners a preferential rate for hospitality packages and the hire of private boxes and loges on our racedays.
LOCAL HOTELS For details of local hotels catering for a wide range of requirements and budgets, please ask for our list of Ascot Preferred Hotels. We recommend booking as early as possible to avoid disappointment. For more information regarding hospitality and local accommodation, please contact Olivia Hills, Owners’ & Trainers’ Manager, olivia.hills@ascot.co.uk or on 01344 878529.
