Executive Message November 2010
Your ASEA Business Has Its Rewards What a great time it is to be part of a company that’s growing, and to take part in a cause that really means something. We can literally see and feel how hard you’re working to take the message and miracle of ASEA to as many people as you possibly can. And your efforts will never go unnoticed. That’s why we plan things like our upcoming Sun & Sand Escape. We are so excited to join as many of you as can make it to Cancun in February. If you’ve never gone tropical in the winter before, trust me—you do not want to miss this retreat. It’s just what you’ll need to get through that last little bit of chilly weather. To get the all-expenses paid version of this trip, be sure you get your 80 enrollment cases through your personal sponsorships by January 8. That’s just two months from now, and believe me, we want to pay your way! I know that what you do every day has its rewards. The testimonials you hear and the thanks you get from the people you help can really keep you going. But with all the built-in rewards of your successful ASEA business, we’re still looking forward to personally thanking you, giving you a little breather, and letting you soak up the sun. See you in Cancun!

Loving Life on the Air In a company led by seasoned networkers, Josy Latorre is a standout. Not because of her successful radio talk show (on healthy living, of all things!). Not because of her music and PR career. But because she’s a network marketing rookie who started working her ASEA business in August and qualified as one of the top 10 recruiters by September’s convention. Maybe she’s just one of those people who doesn’t do anything half-way. She definitely took her time making up her mind about ASEA. She was first introduced to it at an expo in January, when her upline approached her. She didn’t pay much attention. “People approach me all the time with their products because of my talk show,” she explains, “and I always say no because my focus is on educating people about a healthy lifestyle, and I don’t want endorsing a product to affect my credibility.” But by the end of the day, he had gotten her to try it, and by morning Josy could feel a difference. “When I walked by his booth the next day, he had a funny smirk on his face,” she remembers. “I told him I was impressed, but not interested. But he pointed out that I could help a lot people.” So Josy agreed to identify someone in her life who could benefit from ASEA, then another, then another. She registered as an Associate, only so that she could get the product to this handful of friends that she knew needed it. “I wasn’t doing the business; I was not even on Autoship,” she explains. “I would just buy another case when I ran out.” Then she realized that her friends were all getting good results. “So at some point I said, ‘If it has four legs and a tail and it barks, it’s a dog,’” Josy laughs. “I started talking to people, and I talked about it on my radio show. People would tell me that they would never buy any product from an MLM, but because I said ASEA works, they trusted me.” Now that Josy is in it, she talks about ASEA to everybody, everywhere she goes. “It works, and I’m happy to be doing this. I want everybody to know that there is a product called ASEA, it’s here, and they should try it. There’s nothing to lose.” Josy Latorre is a radio personality and Director 700 from Caguas, Puerto Rico

More than Money Last January Toy Hightower attended a fly-in, but only out of curiosity. “I did not expect to be impressed,” observes this experienced networker. “I’ve been there, done that, flown all over the country, and met all kinds of founders and CEOs. I’ve seen their luxurious homes and their private jets.” Toy expected a great presentation, but did not expect to be moved. “But, honey,” she says, “When Verdis Norton started talking, I tell you, I was in.” Toy signed up with ASEA while on that trip, unsure of how she was going to transition to her new business from the opportunity she was already successfully working. “I was so impressed,” she explains, “I couldn’t say no. I said to myself, ‘They are not leaving me behind!’” But Toy had a hurdle to face. Before she even received her first shipment of ASEA, she suddenly faced a serious health challenge. Toy now had a different perspective on her new business. “I originally thought I was signing up for the business side of it, where I could make a substantial income helping and blessing other people’s health,” she says. “I didn’t know I was going to need the product for myself!” So Toy went to work last June, leaving a six-figure income, and more inspired than ever. “It’s in my blood to share good news,” she smiles. “I’m passionate about telling people what they can do for their health.” Toy’s organization averages more than 100 new Associates a month. “I’m the queen of three-way calls,” she says. “Get on the phone with me for 10 minutes, and I’ll put you in my business.” Her goal is to create hundreds of Triple Diamonds in her organization. “It’s better to produce stars than to be a star,” she states. With a vision that goes even beyond what’s happening in her own organization, Toy is excited to be able to help her nation as a whole. “We’re in a health care crisis and in an economic crisis,” she explains. “I’m very excited about being able to offer hope to people for their health and their life and their finances.” Toy Hightower is a Silver Executive working her successful business from her home in Orlando, Florida

Giving People a Fighting Chance At age 20, Chris Thomas was “snatched up,” as he says, into the network marketing industry, and he’s been doing it full-time for the last 25 years. He’s had a check in the industry every month since then, and he says that until recently, he didn’t know how lucky he was. “I became that guy that you set out to be when you start out in network marketing,” he says. When he began making a six-figure income, he took a break and started a grassroots media company and became a talk show host on XM radio for mixed martial arts. But the freedom he had enjoyed as a networker pulled at him. “I realized I liked the value of my own time,” he says. So in January, he left Sirius XM and decided to somehow use his notoriety to help people find whatever dreams they were looking for. Chris started looking at the largest companies in the industry. “After about six weeks, I remember asking myself, ‘What have I done?’ I had left New York, and I couldn’t find a fit for myself.” Chris was getting nervous. Then he got a call from a friend who invited him to look at ASEA. “I was absolutely floored,” he says. “Verdis and Jim were amazing. I had never seen that in founders.” Chris found a home with ASEA and achieved Diamond within seven weeks. And, of course, he has focused on the value of ASEA to the athletes he knows. “They always want to recover faster; they’re looking for an edge.” So Chris shares ASEA with everyone from the average Joe to the UFC hall of famer. And they all love the product. “When you’re not talking about sponsorship, but partnership, it changes,” Chris explains. “ASEA is a cause, not a competition,” he says. “It’s bigger than all of us.”’ Chris is inspired by the challenges he sees around him. “People face financial challenges. I’ve seen sharp, competent people losing everything in this economy,” he observes. “I know I’m doing something that’s good, and if all I do is continue to do it, everything will take care of itself.” Chris Thomas is a Diamond from Parkville, Maryland
