Who are we? The ASEAN Youth Advocates Network, also known as AYAN, is a youth-led and non-profit volunteer organization that paves the way for the ASEAN youth to experience ASEAN socio-civic involvement while exploring one ASEAN identity.

What is the ASEAN Youth Week? The ASEAN Youth Week holds projects and programs around our four core pillars (democratic engagement, global citizenship education, climate alliance, community building, and well-being) for the ten (10) Southeast Asian countries. The participation and initiatives of various groups that center on the youth will encourage the current and future generations to be socially aware of global issues and environmentally sensitive to each of their actions.
The program aims to: Impart knowledge on relevant themes and issues that will lead to the development of youth advocates. Provide a platform for concrete change and spur discussions centered on our four pillars. Showcase and appreciate the culture and talents of the ASEAN Youth.
What does the ASEAN Youth Week solve? ASEAN countries face challenges in quality education, sustainable livelihood practices, and environmental devastation. The youth lacks accessible information on societal issues resulting in the spread of misinformation, disinformation, and complacency in the face of socio-civic turmoil. Several youths wish to contribute to programs and projects which would provide the opportunity to change the future. Regardless of the evident hindrances toward a safe, healthy, and safe future, there is an absence of inclusive platforms where the youth may engage in democratic discourse and tangible change. Due to the pervasiveness of these issues above, lack of information, and lack of good platforms for the young, the ASEAN youth cannot learn about relevant issues and take actions to ignite change. These motivate the ASEAN Youth Advocates Network to implement a program to tackle the problems by disseminating accurate information and cultivating a platform for concrete change. In addition, this program will highlight the local arts and culture of every Southeast Asia Nation while celebrating one identity and one ASEAN community as we make advocacy a lifestyle.
Where will the funds for the ASEAN Youth Week go? ASEAN Youth Advocates Network (AYAN) targets to use the 6,500 square meters of donated land to build an Advocacy Center. The land is situated in the province of Nabua, Camarines Sur, in the Bicol region. Due to the prevailing environmental and societal struggles, including garbage accumulation, unsustainable farming practices, shallow lakes, flooding, fish kill, navigation, soil erosion, and poverty, local community farmers and fishers cannot earn sustainably.
The Advocacy Center will function as: An office and agricultural habitation with ecological and sustainable solutions led by youth volunteers in assisting the locals in growing crops. A venue for AYAN's continual projects such as the ASEAN Youth Week (AYW), Sustainable Development Goals Week, ASEAN Youth Cares, and ASEAN Youth Voices. A retreat house and training center where advocates can enhance their skills and foster friendships with like-minded people for community building and well-being. It will have rescue & evacuation plans, a growth center, and a mini library for disaster and risk reduction of the community, humanitarian nourishment, and environmental change.
Additionally, AYAN plans to coordinate with the Local Government Unit of Camarines Sur in providing transportation means to our visitors and advocates. In the vicinity, the Tricycle Operators and Drivers' Association, Federation of Jeepney Operators and Drivers, and Department of Transportation and Communications, are welcome to provide roundtrip transport services. By doing so, the Advocacy Center becomes accessible to everyone, and the locals are given livelihood opportunities simultaneously.
