ll of us need encouragement; there are times when you need encouragement more than other times. The Holy Spirit is the present encourager; my wife Margaret is also an encourager. She has spoken uplifting words to any one who would receive them. She some how selects the “right” times to call and encourage somebody when they need it the most. Many Pastors look forward to a phone call from Margaret with a word of encouragement. From the housewife to the business owner she always has a word to lift their spirits. The book is an extension of her ministry of encouragement. I witnessed her receipt of the words for each writing. At all conceivable hours of each day covering a period of several months God would deposit what has become a collection of encouragement letters. If you have ever heard her speak, her voice comes through when you read what she has written. This is a timely collection of “God breathe” writings. A seed of hope Divine inspiration inspires woman to write a dramatic ‘tale of hope and wholeness’ By LISA S. KING Freeport News Reporter lisa@nasguard.com

rom the mind of a unique woman of God comes a dramatic play which tells a tale of hope and wholeness that is born out of faith even in the midst of adversity. The play’s author, Margaret Christine Mullings, has never written a play before. She has only had experience in writing songs, but nothing like the masterpiece she has been inspired to write. In a recent interview with the Freeport News, Mrs. Mullings talked about the play, Woman Will Thou Be Made Whole? calling it a story of inspiration because it was written after she was uplifted by the Holy Spirit. After a time of fasting and prayer to get closer to the Lord, she said she was suddenly encouraged to put pen to paper, creating a magnificent story that would bring hope and healing to all. Mrs. Mullings said she spent many hours writing the story line for the play and was eventually lead to contact three special people to become cast members of the play. The cast includes three characters who play a husband, a wife and a doctor. Members include: Selma King, a youth choir director and praise minister; F. Ricardo Hall, a deacon in training and assistant director in the praise ministry; and Travis Williams, a deacon, praise minister and Sunday School teacher. The script, she feels, is directly targeted at hurting men and women in the community who are suffering physiological and emotional pressures. xviii

According to Mrs. Mullings, the drama is about a woman (Mrs. Smith) who is terminally ill and is unable to function in her daily living. She is not able to be a wife to her husband or a dutiful mother to her children because of her illness. Consequently, her husband is always frustrated when he comes home and finds her in bed. Fortunately, she is a praying woman and whenever she has arguments with her husband, she would pray to God for the physical healing of her body and her marriage. As the play unfolds, Mrs. Mullings said viewers will get to see the deep things involved in marriages — good and bad — and the wholeness of it in the end. “They will look and see that in desperate situations, those deep dark situations where you feel like you are all alone and there is no help, and like you are never going to get out of what you are in or be made whole, that there is hope and there is wholeness and you can come out of it whole, if you learn to rely on a healing God,” Mrs. Mullings said. Mrs. Mullings said the original version of the play premiered at her church, Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, in July during a women’s meeting where married couples were invited to come out and view it. A much longer version was later featured again on September 20 at the church, during the women’s anniversary celebrations. “When the play took place, it was like the hand of God was healing people, where they were crying and some were saying hey that’s me, that story is what’s happening to me,” she said. “Those people were able to get a breakthrough and were able to laugh. This play sends a wholesome message, and that is God wants to bring healing to our lives.” Born in West End, Mrs. Mullings is the third of seven children. After spending part of her childhood in Rock Sound, Eleuthera, she returned to Grand Bahama at the age of 12 where she completed her middle and high school education. xix

Today, she is married to Paul Mullings, a man of God who has been appointed pastor of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Seagrape, Eight Mile Rock. Their union has been blessed with four children: Godfrey, Ene, Garret and Nia. As a pastor’s wife, the mantle of ministering to women in the church and community is one she takes very seriously. Mrs. Mullings said before the play was held the second time, she was lead to go to Mr. Frank Penn in hopes of putting on a production of the play performed after the cast would have performed a screen play for him. Upon seeing it, she said Mr. Penn stated that the play was very good, but its length of 20 minutes was too short for a production. He then suggested that she go back and make it longer. She said because she was inspired to write it in the first instance, she knew that she would have to seek spiritual guidance on how to proceed with Mr. Penn’s suggestion. “Then there was this pulling and tugging within me to get before the Lord so that the pen would write again,” she said. “I couldn’t just write down anything, I needed to get it from the same source I did the first time. Then one night as I was praying, it happened, and the pen began to write and now the play has been extended to about an hour.” She revealed that Mr. Penn has fully agreed to help them make a production of the play, which is scheduled to be held at the Frank Simpson Penn Theatre on October 27 and 28. “Preparations for the next showings have been going pretty well,” she said. “I would say that it is like a seed of faith and you combine your faith and your works together along with your vision. “There have been people who have really planted into it by promoting it. I feel that if people just visualise or be able to see and hear scenes from the drama, they would be more inclined to come out and see it.” xx

Mrs. Mullings said she takes no credit for the affects the play has had already, and gives all thanks and praise to God for giving her the talent to write it.

“A Seed of Hope”

The Story

Seed of Hope was sown, when the Drama Woman Will Thou Be Made Whole? was born. It was made possible by Divine Inspiration. Please allow me to share its beginning with you. The story is taken from the Daily News paper, “The Freeport News”. As a result of this “Seed of Hope” this Inspirational book consisting of words of hope, encouragement and healing was born. Its title “Seeds of Hope”. Born into a life of despair, experiencing the pain of rejection at a very early age. Learning anger, and resentment very quickly and harboring much unforgiveness. On a roller coaster of life’s daily struggles, battling depression and several foiled suicide attempts. Being very angry at God for not allowing me to die. Suffering a nervous breakdown, and losing my mind momentarily on the busy highway of life. Hearing the comforting voice of the Father saying “Call Jesus, Call Jesus”. While driving in my car at 45mph I began to call on Jesus., when just in time my presence of mind returns. Embracing the Love of my Abba Father encountering Him almost Face to Face, has changed my life forever. Through the power of prayer I no longer struggle with unforgiveness. The pain of rejection is not felt anymore. Anger has xxiii

gone away, and yes resentment has gone on a “Stay away” vacation, never to return. God has taken me off that roller coaster of life’s challenges. For depression, God gave me the garment of praise and the oil of gladness; for the spirit of suicide, He has given me a word. Psalm 118:17 “I shall not die, but live to declare the works of the Lord,” with the assurance that I am more than a conqueror through Christ who loves and renews. For when I am weak He strengthens me, Abba Father has healed and restored me, transforming me into His master piece for the Glory of God. May the Lord inspire and bless you as you read this life changing story. May you too experience hope and healing. Receiving strength, courage and wisdom to begin your Journey to your destination.

INTRODUCTION

: “Seeds Of Hope”

ou are sitting there lamenting over your sins, and the foolish mistakes you’ve made. Weary, depressed, and torn apart by the many years of repeating the same vicious cycle, with no consistent prayer life. Friends and loved ones have betrayed, and deserted you. The trust that you placed in them, has been breeched leaving big gaping wounds of disappointment, and pain, almost more than you can bear. Darkness now surrounds you, and the God that you love so much seems so far away. Life does not seem to be worth living any more. Thinking there are no other solutions at this point, you attempt to end it all. Just as you are about to complete the job, you hear the voice of the master saying, “You can come to me, or you can end it all.” The tears are now flowing profusely down your cheeks; you feel immense pain and deep resentment. Making an attempt, you push pass the Heavenly Father. Very quickly He restrains you, and lovingly yet firmly says, “My child I love you and will teach you how to overcome your mistakes. How to forgive others and yourself.” Allow the Father to teach you, seek Him early in prayer. Yes, He will teach you how to; through His Word, and, learn to praise Him in the midst of your pain. xxv

The process is long and tedious. Soon you begin to experience weariness and fatigue faltering along the way. Succumbing to the business of every day life. Just busy! But wait one morning while going through the motions of prayer, just as you are about to give up on prayer, you turn to get up off your knees, hearing those unforgettable words “Don’t go, stay with me.” The voice is so comforting, and loving. Instantly, miraculously your whole attitude becomes that of gratitude, and what’s even more exciting, you receive a hunger and a thirsting for the presence of God. You are enthusiastic and look forward to your next time of prayer to seek for God, just to hear his voice again. The word of God is teaching you obedience and consistency through prayer. During the turbulent times you learn patience, and perseverance to endure hardships and trials. God gives you joy in your times of sorrow. With the understanding that it is your faith that moves the hand of God. It is your faith in God’s word that will make you whole and complete. Lessons are learnt very quickly that even through you experience the joys of an intimate relationship with your Heavenly Father does not exempt you from trials, hurt, pain or sickness. You are going to still encounter disappointments of every kind. However, it is a comfort to know that despite these experiences, God, your Abba Father, is right there with you and He will never leave, nor forsake you. He is stripping away the old so that you can embrace the new transforming you to become Christ-like. Prayer makes all the difference in our daily lives. Prayer changes things. Prayer will change you and me. The following is an excerpt from the song, “Prayer Changes Things.”

Prayer can change the atmosphere Pull down strongholds too Prayer changes things, prayer Prayer changes things. This song is a testimony of just a portion of what God can and will do through prayer. As you read each chapter of this book may the God of all comfort and strength, give you the endurance to persevere in prayer while He processes you. Allow Him to break, shape and mold you into the vessel that He has chosen for you to become.

CHAPTER ONE

: THE LOVE OF THE FATHER

n abusive husband one day finds himself all alone with his three young children to care for. He laments over the loss of his wife’s presence, and repents of his arrogant violent ways. Yet his wife refuses to return home, and she has no means to care for the children. This young man cries out to Abba Father to help him. He receives salvation through Jesus Christ and discovers a love he hadn’t realized buried on the inside. He really loves his children He most definitely loves them but he just didn’t know how to express it to them. Now a joy was welling up inside. He began to read bible stories, praying with them every night and tucked them into bed, he took them on outings but most of all he hugged them often and told them how much he really loved them and constantly showed his appreciation to them. This young man never remarried. He dedicated his life to raising his children and did a great job. His children are now all grown and are fulfilling their purpose and destiny. “The Love of this Father” brought hope and stability to their lives. In the book of Luke, chapter 11 tells the story of a father who had two sons. One day the younger son said to his Father, “Give me a portion of goods that is mine”. The father 29

obliged his son and gave him his inheritance. Not many days after receiving his portion, the younger son journeyed into a far country and once he had gotten there, wasted his substance with riotous living. And when, he had spent all that he had, there arose a mighty famine in that land and he began to be in want. He went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and was sent into the fields to feed swine. He was so hungry that he desired to eat the swine’s food, and no one gave him anything to eat. One day this young man remembered his father, and decided he would return back home and ask him to receive him as one of his hired servants. Meanwhile, this young man’s father was praying and looking with hope for the return of his lost son. While returning home, being miles away but insight, the father runs to him and having compassion, hugs and kisses his son. The son repents. The love of this Father for his son causes him to order the best robe to put on him, a ring to put on his hand and shoes on his feet, and threw a party to celebrate the return of his lost son. What LOVE, the love of a Father! It does not matter where we are or what we have done, of course you must repent and confess your sins to Jesus Christ. Yes your Abba Father forgives you and me instantly. He wipes the slate clean. His love is unconditional. The love of our Heavenly Father loves us in spite of. Begin to walk in your purpose and destiny to receive your spiritual heritage. Allow the Love of The Father to love you, and may His love in you, touch and impact those lives you encounter each day that they too will experience “The Love of The Father.”

STABILIZER The hair relaxer needs the activator to straighten the hair, but without the neutralizing shampoo which stabilizes the hair, the relaxer would be ineffective. Without the nurture and care of loving, Godly parents, most children would not have stability. Mothers and fathers are a stabilizer in our lives. On the road to your destination, you may become frightened to the point of being helpless. Yet the stabilizer visits you reminding you that He is the Great Shepherd, and reminds you of Psalms 23:4. “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” During those times when death seems to overshadow you, and the doctors have done all that they can, the Stabilizer comes, and not only comforts you, but brings healing and restoration to you. When you are on the back side of the desert, with no one to care or talk to you and when 1ife’s struggles of pain and afflictions, crushes you to the ground, the Stabilizer visits you bringing strength and courage. It is so comforting to know that the chief shepherd brings stability to your daily life and to every situation that concerns you. However, be mindful that you must be willing to allow God, your Shepherd through Jesus Christ, to guide you. You must trust Him, in total obedience, to lead you into green pastures and still waters. He will protect and make provisions for you but, you must completely depend on Him, Purpose in your heart today to allow the God of life to become your “stabilizer” in all areas of your life, and allow Him to stabilize everything that you do.

CHOSEN In the book of Esther, chapter 2 tells the story of an orphan young girl whose uncle raised her as his own daughter. This young orphan was not only beautiful, but she had the presence of the Lord with her. Esther was chosen as Queen in the place of Vhasti. David kept his father’s sheep in the vast fields. He became a very good shepherd, killing a bear and a lion. David was also very skillful. God sent Samuel the prophet to anoint one of Jesse’s sons to become the next King of Israel. David’s father was sure that one of his seven sons, excluding David (David being the youngest of eight) would be chosen as the next King of Israel. However, none of the seven sons passed the test. They were all tall and handsome looking yet God refused them. I Samuel 16:10-12, “Again Jesse made seven of his sons to pass before Samuel, and Samuel said unto Jesse, the Lord hath not chosen these. 11 And Samuel said unto Jesse are here all thy children? And he said; There remaineth yet the youngest, and behold he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, send and fetch him; for we will not sit down till he come hither. 12 And he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy and withal of a beautiful countenance and goodly to look to. And the Lord said, Arise anoint him; for this is he.” Yes David the shepherd boy was chosen by God to be King of Israel. At this very moment you may be going through your wilderness experience, suffering pain and grief. You may feel all alone, it may seem that no one really cares. Quite the contrary, your Abba Father has not forgotten you. You may be in prison or at the point of giving up hope. You may be homeless and walking the streets. You may even be unemployed with no prospects in sight. Yes, the need is great amongst you. Listen, there is good news. You were predestined by God before the beginning of time. You are a “chosen” vessel of God. Do not allow your circumstances and situations to 34

determine your altitude. 1 John 4:4 “Because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” Romans 8:37 says “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” There is purpose and destiny on the inside and it is calling you to greatness. You are “chosen” to succeed. “Chosen” to shake and move the world with the precious gift God has placed on the inside of you. My challenge to you, get up, brush yourself off and start walking on the road that leads to your destiny. Shake off the past using the powerful weapon of prayer. Climb out of the valley of despair by putting on the garment of praise. Trade your ashes for the beauty of the Lord. Allow Abba Father to transform your feet into hind’s feet to climb the treacherous mountains, and to leap over the troops of the enemy. Encourage yourself today. Look into the mirror of life and say these words, “I shall fulfill my purpose. I shall reach my destination. Through Jesus Christ I am a winner, “Chosen” by Abba Father.”

MURMURS Definition of Murmur: A half suppressed complaint or objection. A young man is diagnosed by a heart specialist, with heart murmurs. Further tests reveal that these murmurs are characteristic of scarred valves. Sounds of blood flowing through ailing valves that are failing to open and close normally. There are other complications; it is a must to get rid of these murmurs. The doctor quickly prescribes a monthly regimen of medication. It is of the utmost importance that the young man follows the doctor’s orders. He must discipline himself to take his medication at the correct time, and change his diet with a little exercise and proper rest. On our journey with the Lord, we find ourselves constantly murmuring. There are murmurs of husbands against wives, children against parents, murmurs of siblings against each other, and best friends find themselves murmuring among one another. Let us hear what Abba Father has to say about murmurs. Exodus 16:7 “And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the Lord; for that he heareth your murmurings against the Lord: and what are we, that ye murmur against us?” The fact is, God our Heavenly Father hates murmurs. John 6:43 tells us “Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.” It is a dangerous thing to murmur, it kills our spiritual growth and our walk with God. I Cor. 10:10, “Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured and were destroyed of the destroyer.” It is time for us as people of God, to stop murmuring among ourselves. With Godly sorrow, let us go to Abba in sincere repentance. The time has come to be our brothers and sisters’ keeper, to love one another in spite of our faults. With love in action murmurs will cease. Purpose in your heart today to weed out murmurs. Every time you hear murmurs, stampede it right away, shine the 37

light of Jesus on it and watch it dissipate. To guard against murmurs, eat a steady diet of the word of God daily and exercise consistently through prayer and supplication. It is a must to put on the garment of praise, with a heart filled with gratitude and love, fortified with compassion, allow humility be your posture. Trust fully in Godâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s grace and mercy to sustain you during times when you are tempted to murmur. Yes, the murmurs of self will have to give way to the will and purpose of God, your Abba Father.

THE GATHERING Definition of Gathering: An assembly of people especially on a festive occasion. There is excitement and fireworks with fun, and entertainment. The occasion, a family reunion. Everyone is delighted to see each other and “The Gathering” proves very meaningful. At the football stadium, fans are gathering to see their favourite team play with high expectations of them winning the playoffs. Many people are gathering at gymnasiums to get a good work out and to burn off much needed calories. Hundreds are gathering at the malls to catch the best sale. They are excited about shopping for personal and household items. Thousands are gathering to see their favourite music artists as they perform at some of the greatest musical festivals ever put forth. The gathering filled with energy stays until the dawning of daybreak. Abba Father is calling each of us to “The Gathering.” Matthew 25:32, “And before him shall be gathered all nations and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats.” Yes, God is calling each of us to demonstrate the real evidence of our belief at The Gathering; by the way we treat each other. It is time to feed the hungry. The time has come to give the homeless a place to stay. At The Gathering it is time to visit the sick more often. Jesus used the comparison of the sheep and the goat to show the division between the believers and the unbelievers. How does your actions separate you from the pretenders and unbelievers? Purpose in your heart today that at “The Gathering” of all the nations, you will be as the sheep on the right hand of Jesus. Allow the love of Christ to be on display in everything that you do. THE HAND In households all around the world there is a hand that is constantly dishing up the food, and issuing it out, to every household member. With hearts of gratitude we are thankful for mothers hand. For the construction of a building, one would first seek out an Architect and at the appropriate time. The hand of a plumber, the electrician and the carpenter. The masons hand is very essential at this stage of construction, the tiles are cut, and fitted accurately by the hand of a professional, of course the hand of a roofer is a must. Every hand must be in operation for the successful completion of a building, and for the Landscaping of the yard, which enhances the beautification of any home or building. In our everyday lives - we experience so many hardship and trails, sometimes suffering the agony of defeat. Some of us remain in this state for a very long time. Yet everyone at some time or another will experience these things. The good news is that there is a hand that is constantly. Lifting you up above the troublesome times. This hand shields and protects guiding you; leading you to higher heights and onto the pathway of life. The hand actually has you in the palm of His Hand and no one, not even the storms of life, sickness, pain, or even failure can remove you out of the hand which holds you. This hand has made a covenant with you, from the beginning of your life, The hand has kept you. The hand is never seen in the good times of your life, it is during the dry and trying scenes of your life that the hand is revealed. Reminding and encouraging you, stabilizing your condition. The hand is processing you, preparing you to walk to your destiny, with the full knowledge of your purpose. It is so comforting and reassuring to know. With the greatest confidence that you are in the Fathers Hand, and nothing and no one can remove you out of His Hand!! THE GIFT OF FRIENDSHIP Friendships make life enjoyable and difficult times bearable. It is in times of hardship that friendship is tested and strengthened. We must always be mindful that friends are helpful, but they cannot meet our deepest spiritual needs. Leaving God out of our friendships is an indication of how unimportant He really is in our lives. Our relationship with God should be important enough to touch other relationships, especially our closest friendships. We take the people that we encounter for granted from time to time, not realizing that it is God that uses people as instruments to impact our lives in a tangible way. Almost always on a daily basis, we pass the drunkard on the streets, ignoring his or her cry for help. We despise the prostitute, or the woman who dresses in a vulgar manner, and we hardly ever see their hurt and pain, or hear their desperate cries for help. We discard and write off the drug addict, and the beggar on the streets, but stop, wait, pause for a moment, listen as blind Bartimaues did when he heard footsteps running excitedly in the same direction; he immediately threw off his begging garment; and cried with the loudest voice he could muster up, for Jesus Christ to have mercy on him. People were annoyed, some were offended, but Bartimaues did not allow that to stop him, he kept calling out to Jesus. He was persistent! Jesus heard Bartimaeusâ&#x20AC;&#x2122; desperate cry, and came to his rescue, bringing to him healing and restoration. God through His Son Jesus, has given to us health and wealth, but we have forgotten where He has brought us from. I challenge you today to remember a place and time, where God the Father extended his hand of mercy to you, and covered you in His arms of Love and restored you to your rightful place. Now, will you be a friend to the destitute, the poor, and the needy? Will you be a friend to those who have been trodden down by the cares of this life? Will you 47

THE SEDUCTION This seduction is not really a seduction of a man with a woman, No, this seduction is so subtle itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s really the masturbating (stimulating) spirit in disguise that deceives you into thinking you can take care of yourself. It tricks you into becoming self sufficient. You strive so hard to accomplish material wealth and solve your own problems. No prayer life, no time for the word, no time to help anyone, youâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;ve become totally self sufficient. Before you know it, God is nowhere in the picture, and all you have is a form of Godliness and no power. The busy housewife with such zeal and concern for her household, that boy and girl with so much enthusiasm about completing primary school; the young man and young lady, studying for that degree. Achieving every goal in life, executing every plan you have devised is excellent. Yet, these accomplishments are all void if God is not a part of them. For we ought to live, move and breathe in Him, He is our Creator. Let us make it our number one priority to seek to know who God really is, and what His perfect will is for our lives. The answer is through His Son Jesus Christ who is the Door. Can you hear him? He is ringing the doorbell of your heart, Are you willing to answer the door? As we experience our valleys and the many, many pitfalls of life, the grief, and our most agonizing hour; answering the doorbell of your heart is a guarantee. Just as God, the Father stood with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego during their fiery furnace experience in the book of Daniel 3, if you remain faithful, He will be with you in your greatest trials and temptations. We have this assurance that no human can bind us if God wants us free. We must recognize that these trials and temptations are only temporary. You can choose to allow your circumstances and situations, even your past and the mistakes that you have made, to control you or you can use your situation as stepping stones. You have the power within to triumph over every tragedy, to experience joy in sorrow, healing in sickness and total success when all the odds are against you. God the Father, your Creator, has equipped and predestined you for greatness in this life. It is through His Son Jesus Christ that you will receive the blue print for your life. Through Him, you will experience who God is, and will come to know who you are in Christ. In Him you will discover your purpose and destiny, the place where He is taking you. THE CARPENTER The Carpenter needs the hammer to fasten the nails to the wood, with his many other tools and materials that are necessary for the completion of the work. “OVERBOARD” In the book of Jonah, chapter 1 gives a descriptive account of Jonah’s call by God to go and preach to the people of a powerful and wicked city named Nineveh. Jonah was afraid, even though he knew specifically what God was calling him to do. He did not want to do it. Fear made Jonah ran away from God. Jonah’s disobedience to God had endangered the lives of the ship’s crew. While the storm raged Jonah was sound asleep at the bottom of the ship. Jonah apparently did not even have a guilty conscience about his disobedience to God. Suddenly he is awakened out of his slumber and lots were being cast to find out the guilty person who had caused this fierce storm upon the sea. The lot fell on Jonah; with a sinking feeling, Jonah realized that no matter where he went he could not hide or run away from God. Jonah understood that he had to first stop running from God, and do what God had called him to do. Jonah admitted that he was wrong, and was willing to give up his life to save the crew on board the ship. The storm grew worse and in spite if the crew trying to save Jonah’s life, he was thrown overboard “Overboard” into the raging seas, Jonah didn’t stand a chance, but God Abba Father had a plan to rescue him. He had prepared a huge fish to swallow him. Jonah spent three days and three nights in the belly of this great fish in the depths of the sea, yet God kept Jonah. In your daily walk with God, has He given you a specific work to do, and like Jonah you may be afraid to do it. Do you find yourself running away from God, and getting into more trouble? Do you find yourself wondering from place to place searching for God, trying to find a better place? Has your disobedience to God thrown you Overboard? Do you find yourself tossed and driven on the boisterous seas of life experiencing weariness and fatigue, you can cry out, “Lord 59

save meâ&#x20AC;? and instantly He will come to your rescue, lifting you out of the angry seas of life. Like Jonah, who realized the miracle of life, you to can begin praising God with a thankful heart that Abba Father, did not allow you to drown in the tempestuous seas, despite your disobedience to Him. It doesnâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t matter, even though you are Overboard and out of the will of God, He still loves you, and is attentive to your prayer. Continue to be persistent in your prayers. Purpose in your heart this very moment that you will do the work that Abba Father has called you to do, at whatever cost. Trust Him, for He has equipped you for the work at hand. Your days of dark solitary confinement have now come to an end and you are now ready to complete the assignment that your Abba Father has given to you. Your Overboard experience has placed you back on the road that leads to your destiny.

TOMORROW God strengthens His children for the journey. You may be going through, what feels like a fiery trial at this very moment. Suddenly an overwhelming situation is added, and you feel as though tomorrow will never come. At that very moment this assurance comes to mind, that even though we do not know what tomorrow may bring, nor what the future holds, it is such a comfort in knowing that Jesus is walking beside you, and he knows what lies ahead. His presence is with you, and you are covered in the blood of Jesus Christ. Tomorrow arrives, and you are still here. You still feel pain and experience many setbacks. But as the tears roll down your cheeks, know that even though you may never understand why you’re going through what you are experiencing, the calm assurance comes to mind that, He who holds your hand, is the one who holds tomorrow, and He will take care of you. You then begin reading the word. Tomorrow you are meditating on that word, praying, looking forward to tomorrow, each tomorrow is getting brighter. You are learning that God your Abba Father is in control of not one, but over every circumstance, and situation that concerns you, further you learn that God has plans for your life, to bless and to prosper you. Trust God today to take care of your “Tomorrow”.

MIRACLES OF JESUS Both your mother and grandmother have predeceased you. Their cause of death, “Cancer” the dreaded disease. Here you are chronically ill, and instead of getting better you become worse. The diagnosis is not clear, there are many complications. You have visited every doctor’s office in Town, yet found no relief. What’s even more disturbing, you have been hospitalized several times with no recovery insight. It seems that you are losing the battle of maintaining your health. In desperation you seek further medical assistance in the United States of America. Surely there must be medical specialist there to better your condition. Upon arrival, you are waiting with great expectation for a cure, but the doctors there cannot help you. Returning home the realization suddenly hits you, major surgery is urgent. The thought of losing all of your reproductive organs, coupled with the fear of visiting the surgical theater again is just too overwhelming. In desperation you return home to your family feeling hopeless, but wait, there is a ray of hope. A tiny seed of faith is springing up from within. It is the word, and it is speaking to you. Here is what that seed of the word is saying Psalm 118:17 “You shall not die, but live to declare the works of the Lord.” Suddenly your seed of faith connects to this word, and miraculously, you experience a miracle. No one knows of this miracle, it is an inside job, so you go in as scheduled to have surgery. During surgery the doctors discover the miracle. Your entire reproductive organs are as new, and everything is in tact. The doctors are unable to explain it, but you know that God your Abba Father, through Jesus Christ has performed a miracle for you. Somebody cares, His name is JESUS. Jesus promised greater works we shall do in His name, If only you would believe. May your faith make you whole Instantly if you believe Somebody cares His name is JESUS. In the book of Matthew 8, Jesus performs many miracles. He healed a leper, touching him and instantly he was restored. Jesus healed the Centurion Soldierâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s servants. Peterâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s mother-in-law was also healed by Jesus of a fever which had made her very sick. There are many other miracles that Jesus performed, miracles of every sort. Today Jesus is still performing miracles of every kind. Do you need a miracle in your life? Are you willing to release that mustard seed of faith that God has given to each of us? Believe right now that all things are possible with God. Believe when you pray and ask of your Heavenly Father, receiving what you are asking for. Ask in faith believe and you shall receive. It is as simple as that. Faith works, and patience with complete obedience equals your Miracle. With great expectancy you shall experience your miracle. There is a divine timing for it.

DEFEATING THE ENEMY Two neighbors were feuding for many years over his dog which had died. Suspecting his neighbor of poisoning the dog, his suspicion marked his neighbor as the enemy. They stopped speaking to each other. Suddenly, one day the owner of the dog was sitting alone. His thoughts were centered around his beloved animal friend and he realized that he had lived many years, and there was a possibility that age could have been a factor in his demise. He immediately felt remorse for the years of feuding with his neighbor and immediately ran over to his house to ask his forgiveness. In our walk with God, we too fall prey to fighting with each other. We falsely accuse each other on mere suspicion, viewing each other as enemies. We eliminate people out of our lives, and do not speak to them, even taking measures to avoid seeing each other. We offend others, yet we refuse to say we are sorry. We find ourselves treating each other like the enemy and we move in for the kill, attempting to assassinate their character, with slanderous gossip, and vivacious lies. We deceive ourselves into thinking we are defeating the enemy, as a result we feel a sense of satisfaction. News Flash! Yes please pay attention! The word says that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood. What does all this mean? Well let us take a look into the blueprint for our lives. Ephesians 6:12 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” These words clearly show us who the real enemy is. It says that Satan and his demons are the real enemy; flesh and blood, which is you and me, are not each other’s enemy. The word then goes on to tell us how to equip ourselves to defeat the enemy. Ephesians 6:13 says, “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand”. 67

Daily we must put on our head, the helmet of salvation. To protect the chest and heart, put on the breastplate of righteousness. For our loins, put on the belt of truth. Our feet must have on the shoes of readiness to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In one hand we must carry the shield of faith to stop every device of the enemy. The other hand carries the sword of the Spirit, drawn with the word, which is quickening and powerful. To stand in readiness, we must pray continually to defeat the enemy. It is a must to remain fully armoured as we do battle through prayer and fasting; yielding in complete obedience to the voice of the Father, with persistent praise and worship to our Abba Father in spite of our circumstances and situations. Trusting Him to help us through the times of accusations, scandals and the many lies, we must endure. In order for our response to be that of forgiveness with compassion extending Gods love. This will allow good to be displayed instead of retaliation. This strategy defeats the enemy in his tracks.

THE PRIZE Two well established wrestlers stand in the wrestling ring, one of them has the title belt of the Heavy weight Championship. The champion intends to maintain his title and his opponent seeks to defeat him and take away the Prize. Every athlete’s goal is to cross over the finish line to win the Prize. In beauty pageants contestants are beautiful yet only one can wear the crown. Top achievers in school, college or in business are often rewarded trophies, plaques, with prizes as incentives and the list goes on. In our walk with God we are in a race, a very long race. The Apostle Paul tells us in Philippians 3:14, “I press towards the mark for The Prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” To obtain the Prize, we must let go of past guilt, forgive others, and then forgive ourselves. Seek to grow in the knowledge of your Abba Father through spending quality time in prayer and studying the word. Pray often always walking in faith and obedience. The Prize is just ahead. The Prize is living a fuller and more meaningful life because of your hope in Christ. I challenge you to press on, past the road blocks in your life, bypass all the nay sayers and the dream killers. Stay in your lane, persevere and be patient, display the love of Christ in every situation, continue to do good to those that spitefully use you and pray for them. Yes to win the prize it is a must that you love your enemies. Keep running to obtain the prize, run with discipline, with grace and with elegance, keeping your integrity in tact. The purpose of this race is to obtain the prize of the High calling of God because only in Jesus Christ can we receive the prize. You can obtain the prize by believing that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

THE PLACE God wants to being us to the place where we will not retaliate against our enemies, the place where we would not retaliate against our spouses, the place where we are not resentful, or judgmental, the place where we can love and display love in spite of persecutions. It is the place of spiritual maturity in Christ Jesus, this place will be your purpose and destiny, the place where we can yield everything including ourselves to our heavenly Father, like Jesus did in the Garden of Gethsemane. Yes, the place of the Cross, the place of suffering, the place of justice, being innocent, yet suffering unjustly without being bothered having no malice. The place of no backbiting, no throwing of stones, the place where you suffer rejection, but you are enabled to pour love into even your enemies, yes it is the place of your purpose and destiny. It is the place where the fleshly nature dies, along with selfish ambitions and desires, yet the inner man, the Spirit Man comes alive through Christ Jesus. To arrive at this place is a daily walk with God; it is a consistent prayer life in spite of the weather, sickness, circumstances, or how you may feel, it is continual obedience, it is the yielded life. The place where God can trust you and raise you anywhere, or anytime. Will you be a yielded vessel for God? Will you be an example like Jesus? will you allow Him to be your Abba Father? will you be willing to loose everything and everyone for God? In other words, gaining promotions, successes, favour with man and material wealth, yet leaving your soulâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s salvation undone. When you stand before God, what shall it profit you? Yes, it is quite a challenge, you must be a willing vessel, are you willing to really walk with God? It is the place where the world can see the love of Christ shining brightly in this very dark world of sin and sorrow. Shining so brightly, bringing 72

hope to those who have lost hope, bringing healing to those who are sick, shining so brightly that the dead are awakened to life, the blind eyes receive sight. The place where deaf ears receive hearing, and the dumb are speaking. Yes, shining so brightly that those who are bound and held captive by sin, are set free. Yes the place where even those who have been wounded and deeply hurt can break every barrier and stumbling blocks are removed. Yes the place of purpose and destiny You may ask, “How much does it cost” and the answer is, “It will cost you everything.” The cost is yielding yourself totally to God trusting Him in all things and obeying Him at all cost, and in every aspect of your life. Are you willing to journey to this place? This place is your purpose and destiny.

hese words echo all across the land, “How may I help you?”, How can I serve you?” “May I take your order?”, or “What can I do for you today?” The telephone operator very pleasantly says, “With pleasure to serve you, how may I direct your call?” The Bahamas being a Touristic destination, very often Tourist would write – back expressing the positive impact of a “Servants Heart”. They received such friendly courteous service! Hundreds, if not thousands are excited about returning! The home is, buzzing with excitement mother is cooking a delicious meal. She has worked tirelessly, her fingers are worn to the bone. Yet she does not complain!, serving everyone in the house with a smile! Dad is serving too, providing, correcting, and instructing. The children soon realize that service with a good attitude is what really counts! Jesus Christ Himself is the greatest example of a Servants Heart. Everywhere he went, he took time out to serve someone, washing the dusty feet of his disciples even serving the little children, never turning anyone away. 75

A Servantâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Heart must be willing to give of time, resources, and skills. Sometimes going beyond the call of duty, with the strength and zeal of compassion that only comes from God. The Servants Heart has longevity, enduring the test of times, being insulted, assaulted, having evil returned to you for the good service you had rendered. There is also the pain of rejection, being mocked and Jeered. The Servants Heart still continues like the Duracell battery becoming weak at times, but always receiving a recharge and very quickly continues on. God our Abba Father, through His Son Jesus Christ is the one who imparts His Grace into our hearts; giving to us the compassion, and His Agape love to effect a change in peoples lives. OBEDIENCE A mother extends her hand to her little child as she crosses the busy street. The child without any hesitation, readily puts hand into his mother’s hand! And both safely crosses. The busy housewife often times assigns chores for each of her children to complete, beginning at an early age. “Wash the dishes, sweep the floor”. and to another, “Mop the floor, put out the garbage”, oh and I forgot please children, clean your room and your bathroom”. These are all necessary chores for children to do. However, they are very often left undone. The mother readily corrects this, and very quickly the practical lesson of obedience is learnt. They experience a smooth operation of household chores, thus through obedience, learn life skills Obedience is the clarion call to every believer in Christ Jesus, partial or delayed obedience is unaccepted. God requires complete obedience. In times of uncertainty when you do not know what to do, obedience to the voice of God is important. During the most difficult times of your life, when you are tempted to lie, to take the easy way out stop! Remember obedience! “OPPS” You are being asked to look the other way, for a few extra dollars! What do you do? OBEDIENCE! To whom one may ask?, to your Heavenly Father. To the believer in Christ, you are on a journey that only God, your Abba Father, holds the map to. There are no copies, you must follow in complete obedience through His word, you must study the Bible meditating on its words day and night, and persistently pray. You must depend on God to give you the strength, courage, and the wisdom to obey His word in all circumstances. Obedience at times is a challenge. There are moments of weakness and despair. Moments when you don’t feel like doing the right thing in times of hurt, the pain of being wronged is so great that you want to right the wrong. Yes 78

During moments like these, the Holy Spirit comes and brings to you comforting assurance that God promised; He would not put on you more than you can bear. Instantly you become encouraged, â&#x20AC;&#x153;Obedienceâ&#x20AC;? is now in focus. It is important for you to obey God just like that little child obeyed his mother, trusting her to take him safely across the street. With child-like faith, we too must completely obey and honor God in every aspect of our lives. Trusting Him in every trial and circumstances, especially the disappointing and stormy times of our lives. We must always remember to use the master key of OBEDIENCE.

FACE TO FACE A baby is born, and very early experiences the terrible fear of falling, always holding on tightly to his mother, whenever she is lifting him up. The young mother who is horrified by creatures that creeps or crawls, immediately demands that they be killed, or she may scream and run away in terror. Another person may have a fear of height, or being in an enclosed area. There may be a fear of speaking before crowds of people. The list of fears or phobias are endless, yet there comes a time in our lives when we all must come “Face to Face” with our fears, and conquer them. In our spiritual lives we have giants that we must conquer. These giants are the addictions, generational curses, unforgiveness and the pain and hurt that we carry around with us. These stunts our spiritual growth and bring about shame, condemnation, resentment and bitterness, resulting in much unhappiness depression and oppression. These things cause us not to fulfill our purpose, thus not reaching our destination. These giants seems so strong and huge, that we sometimes give up on trying to defeat them, creating strongholds of fear. We dare not tell anyone about our addictions, and our inner struggles, because we are afraid of being ridiculed and condemned. Do not despair there is hope. God our Abba Father, through Jesus Christ, His Son, has the antidote. There is a Divine time in all of our lives, for a “Face to Face” encounter with God, who transforms us, breaking every addiction, and generational curse. Healing the heart of unforgiveness producing a forgiving loving heart. Demolishing the giants fears in our lives, that we may live a victorious and fulfilling life, while living here on this earth. Look with great expectancy for your “FACE TO FACE” encounter with God.

THE PAIN OF INDIFFERENCE Definition of Indifference: Lack of Interest or Feeling. The boy and girl whose father abandoned, and disowned them, feels the Pain of Indifference. The husband who is unfaithful to his beautiful wife, persons who are betrayed by friends, and relatives, experience the pain of Indifference. Yes the list goes on, but wait, there is a “News flash”. It is time to trade in the Pain of Indifference.’ How is this possible? Well it is not easy. It does not happen overnight, but gradually day by day, or perhaps once a week, call or visit the one who hurt you. Do something thoughtful for them; soon you will experience interest and the love and trust, slowly returns. THE PAIN OF SEPARATION The pain of Separation comes in different degrees, yet the pain is still the same. A young man and lady preparing to leave home for college abroad. The little boy that gets into the wrong bus, he momentarily feels the pain of separation. In a crowded room with fun and laughter there you are telling your jokes, drinking with the boys, yet no one is receptive to you. You experience the Pain of Separation. Husbands and wives share the same bed, yet they turn their backs towards each other, feeling the Pain of Separation, they tolerate each other. The Pain of Separation is a horrible pain that no pain killers can heal. There are no bandages to put on it, it really hurts! Only God our Abba Father can heal the Pain of Separation. How? You may ask. Purpose in your heart today to surrender the situations that you are experiencing through the Pain of Separation to the Lord, release the pain and let go of the person or persons. HURTING WOMEN Women’s clothing are tailored in all sizes, shapes and colours with just the right shoe size. Oh! I forgot all the undergarments are in tact too and hairdos galore. Casual outfits of every kind are beckoning to you, and if you love the beaches, your swimsuits are there for you. Purses, handbags, colognes and perfumes are a must. Not to mention accessories, earrings, bracelets, necklaces and pearls. Well, a little or a lot of lipstick or rouge if you please, do not forget the facial powder and checking yourself before you leave the house is a must just to make sure everything is just right. It is a beautiful sight to behold a woman so elegantly attired, yet beneath the surface are deeply hurting women of every race, creed and colour. Some women from an early age have been molested by a parent figure, some by someone they were dating. Women have had to endure the pain of being cursed by their parents, telling them that they will never amount to anything, which sometimes is the cause of them becoming “bad women”. They are beaten down verbally and physically by their husbands, who are always telling them that they are stupid and can never do anything right thus, sending their self esteem into the ground. Not to mention, criticizing the cooking and to make matters worst even their physical appearance is not appealing to him. News flash! Pay careful attention, God is watching you. He hears your heart cries, He sees you when you wet the pillow with your tears at night. He feels your pain and the agony that you feel. He is right there with you and calls you His daughter. God is your Abba Father. This is a new beginning for you. All that you are going through and have been through your Abba Father will restore. He is healing your pain even now, pouring the oil into your wounds and healing them instantaneously. Purpose in your heart, confess your sins to Him. Trust Him to work out every situation for you and most important of all, pray constantly. BITS AND PIECES An explosive device is detonated, leaving Bits and Pieces scattered across the field the result is devastating. Emergency trucks and crew are on the scene, to administer help to the wounded. There are no casualties and the cleanup is successful In our daily lives we experience so much devastating blows. In a flash our lives are suddenly in shambles. The Marriage is falling apart, you find yourself constantly arguing over everything. The children are sick with one complaint after the other. You become stricken with a chronic illness, becoming incapacitated and unable to care for your husband, or your little children. Your life seems like bits and pieces. To make matters worse, you become suicidal. Life suddenly does not matter anymore, just as you are about to end it all. God divinely intervenes bringing His miraculous presence, and healing your mind, body and spirit (soul). Daily as you seek for God your Abba Father, pray, study, and meditate on the Word. Process by process your life of bits and pieces are being put back together. It is not an easy process, in fact it hurts. God is teaching you the art of forgiveness He is continually pouring His love into your heart, to administer His Grace. You will experience some relapses along the way but your Abba Father would not let you go. He will pour on you the healing oil of gladness. You will be able to see what God is doing in your life. He is restoring your marriage, he is healing your husband and your children bringing stability to your home, and your finances. Most important of all, your encounter with God has brought a spiritual awakening not only to your home and family, but to all those around the world. SEASONAL CHANGES Summer is the time of the year when the sun is hottest and the days are longer. We then notice a slight shift, the leaves are falling off the trees and changing its colours, there is a change in weather, it is getting slightly colder, which tells us that Autum is here. Winter is fast approaching with snow falling in some countries, while other countries experience milder, warmer temperature especially in the tropics. Many people look forward to spring, the season when all leaves appear green and flowers of every kind are in full bloom. Fruit trees begin bearing fruits yes, spring is an exciting time of the year. Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring bring Seasonal changes. Each season changes the atmosphere, climate, vegetation, even changing the way we attire ourselves in order to adjust to the climate. Businesses of every kind are also affected by these Seasonal Changes. Our lives also consist of these four seasons which brings changes in our lives. However, the summer of our lives seems to be the longest and we experience our most fiery trials and greatest temptations. Yet it is during this season of our lives that God refines us most. The Autumn of our lives is really the transformation of our sinful nature, bringing us into submission to the purpose and the perfect will of God. The Winter season in our lives really is a difficult and very trying time. Your faith is put to the test. You may even be tempted more, yet the refining process which was previously done is tested at its maximum level. Momentarily you may want to go back to old methods and your old ways. The Word of God reassures you that the grace of God is able to strengthen you, and the God that you serve so faithfully is able to keep and sustain you. The garment of praise begins to cover you. The oil of gladness surrounds you with mercy and peace escorting you. A host of angels begin to minister to you enabling you to focus on the spring time. You are 93

now entering into the harvest time in your life. This is the Seasonal Change where you fulfill your purpose and destiny. The many, many sleepless nights when you walked the floor, praying and crying all night. The previous seasons when you consistently kept a fervent prayer life; studying and meditating on the word, helping and encouraging others, maintaining a good attitude in your posture before God. Being obedient to the call of God, you fasted constantly yes, even enduring the most intense temptations, where you wanted to give in, yet you were constrained by the word that kept you. These Seasonal Changes bring the realization that every season of our lives are necessary with the understanding that each season has a purpose. May God who comforts us in our times of trials and disappointments, give to you enduring patience; enabling you to be faithful in all seasons of your life.

In such a hurry they are not able to eat breakfast together. Dinner is prepared but half of the family, are ABSENT because of some commitment or another. Marriages all over the Globe are falling apart Husbands and wives are arguing over the tiniest little things, and becoming more hostile to each other. The children are taking notes, and they vow within themselves that if marriage is anything like mommy and daddy’s they will never marry. There are so many problems on your job it is really very stressful. Unaware of it, you begin taking the job stresses home and as a result you are stressing your beloved spouses., and all of the children, snapping and yelling at them, causing them to become angry at you. Now the whole atmosphere at home is anger and resentment. Just as you are about to pack your bags and leave everyone at home, the Lord begins to speak from within you. “For your Good”. These words sound very strange in your ears. How could all the trials and temptations, not to mention the many disappointments, be for your good? The frustration in the marriage, the finances, even the great need of owning a home. The longing for togetherness in the family, Yes dealing with the anger and resentment. The List is Long. The words speak clear to you, enlightening your understanding, referring you to God’s word. Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” What does this all mean? Everything that you have experienced, even from a child is “for your good”. It may seem unnatural and unbearable. Yet if you remain faithful to God in all that you are going through, allowing Abba father to complete His work in you; 96

the result will be a magnificent masterpiece. In times of uncertainty, not knowing, where you are going to live, and having insufficient monies to pay the bills. God is building character within. Trust Him, obey His voice. In times of crisis in family life and your marriage it is “for your good.” God is teaching you how to have compassion and Love. To seek out your spouses and children, drawing them into devotion with a loving attitude, this will give you a heart of gratitude. On the job site every time you become angry and resentful, God is stripping away the hardness of your heart, and saturating it with His Love, giving you discipline and patience, “for your good” you soon realize that it wasn’t your spouse, no not your children not even the people on your Job. It wasn’t all the problems. It was you. God your Abba Father allowed all of those things and more to happen in your life “For Your Good”, to bring you into your Purpose and Destiny. Now with renewed strength, and a steadfast faith, you know with full assurance that all things work together for your good!

BETRAYED Definition of Betray: To lead astray; to deliver to an enemy, abandon; mislead; deceive. Today you are struggling with bitterness and the grief of being betrayed it has left a big wound, and no healing for it is in sight. Each time you encounter the person that betrayed you, the cycle starts all over again. There is no progress in your life, you are going through the motion but, you are dying inside. The wife who betrays the trust, that her husband has placed in her. The Doctor who betrays his patients trust. Yes the best friend, the one who you’ve poured out your heart to, and you discover you’ve been Betrayed. It leaves a void, hurt and lots of pain, causing much agony. You are living in a time, where your trust and confidence must be placed in God our Abba Father. In the Gospel of Matthew 24:10 “And then shall many be offended and shall betray one another, and shall hate another.” There is healing reconciliation and restoration to fill the void of being betrayed. It is the “Act of Forgiveness”. To say this is easy, to actually forgive is much harder. Be encouraged, it is possible. The Gospel of Mark 14 gives us a vivid description of the betrayal of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It tells us that Jesus was not betrayed by an enemy or a stranger. He was betrayed by one of his own. The one who sat next to him at the supper table; the one who kept the money bag, the one whom Jesus trusted. His very own disciple Judas Iscariot was the one who betrayed Him. Mark 14:42 Jesus said “Rise up, let us go; lo he that betrayeth me is at hand”. Jesus knew Judas would betray him, yet he forgave him. Jesus knew his destiny. He did not stop, but continued on in spite of the agony, grief, and sorrow. He pressed forward to fulfill his purpose and destiny. Jesus endured the suffering of Betrayal, humiliation, and being mocked and scorned. He did it for you and me. The 99

time has come for you to acknowledge being betrayed. Allow Jesus to heal the pain, and the sting that it has left within you. Yes, allow the touch of Jesus to fill the void it has in your life. Now release all of those persons whoâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;ve betrayed you. Forgive them. Now you are finally free. Sunshine is flowing in your heart today. Happiness and joy is beginning to bubble up, it is now flowing out to others, impacting millions of people around the world, bringing hope, and the Love of Jesus Christ. EMPTY High upon the top of the cliff, sits an eagle’s nest. The mother eagle is very diligent in the survival of her eaglets. She provides food for them daily. As the eaglets develop, the mother eagle would gradually nudge a baby eaglet out of the nest forcing it to use its wings. Unable to fly just yet, the mother eagle would rescue the eaglet. What is the purpose of this exercise? The eagle is preparing each eaglet to soar to their destination. The nest is now “Empty” and all of the eaglets have become full grown eagles and have soared to their destiny. Parents nurture and teach their children by preparing them to fulfill their purpose and destiny. The time then comes for each of them to leave home to pursue their destination leaving the home empty “Empty”. Yes, parents will miss their childrens’ presence in the home but they are happier knowing that, it is a must for them to fulfill their purpose. They have the confidence that God will take care of each of them. In the Gospel of John 3:16, it describes the love of the father for his children. It reads “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whososever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”. Jesus accepted our punishment, yes he paid the ultimate price for our sins. The tomb is “Empty”, Jesus is no longer in the grave. Hallelujah, He has an offer you really should not refuse; the offer is a new life in Christ Jesus. During our walk with God, we sometimes find ourselves “Empty” and depleted, burdened with the cares of this life becoming miserable and out of touch. It is such a comfort for each of us to receive the love of the Father, through Jesus Christ. “Empty” we present ourselves receiving restoration, and a restoring faith. Walking in the new life that Jesus brought for us. 102

I challenge you today to “Empty” yourself of everything that weighs you down, and receive this new life in Christ Jesus. Purpose in your heart, to take this step of faith. Empty out the old, to receive the new. Your decision has now placed you on your journey to fulfill your purpose and destiny. Visualize this “You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you and when you are weak and can’t go on, He will carry you. 2 Corinthians 12:9 “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness”. WALKING It is a known fact that walking is one of the best forms of exercise. Very early in the morning, men and women can be seen walking. For some it is just a routine just to get out of the house, for others it is what the doctors have ordered. Walking to become healthier and live a more productive life. Babies begin to crawl over the floor learning to hold on to things and pulling themselves up. Baby learns to stand, then take a step. Trying to make another step, baby wobbles and falls. The big day arrives and baby is walking. In our walk with God, we begin as babies in Christ Jesus. Like the baby, it is a must that we grow, through studying, and searching the scriptures. We must take steps of faith being enlightened to the truth that there is a struggle within each of us. The inward struggle with sin, yet we must keep on walking with the knowledge that the Holy Spirit frees us from sin. Romans 8:1 assures us, â&#x20AC;&#x153;There is therefore no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the Spiritâ&#x20AC;?. Yes it is time for us to arise out of the depths of despair, out of despondency and complacency. It is time to unlock the dungeon of self pity and ignorance. It is time to get out of that pit of depression and laziness. With the strength and vitality of God our Abba Father, climb out of the pit. The keys are in your hand to unlock the dungeon doors. Get up, and start walking. Your legs may seem unsteady at first but keep on walking. There is a long road just ahead of you. On this road there are no travelers. This is the road that leads to destiny. Only you and the Master are allowed on this road. He has already equipped and prepared you to walk this road. Continue walking with the confidence that your Abba Father is walking with you and you shall fulfill your purpose and destiny.

REBUILDING For the past few years all around the world, nations are rebuilding their countries, their cities and communities. There has been catastrophes of every kind, tidal waves, earthquakes, hurricanes and storms. Deadly fires have ravished and destroyed homes and forests. Aeroplanes are crashing with hundreds of lives onboard, and the aftermath has been devastating, many have lost their worldly possessions, yet their lives are still in tact. In your walk with God, at first you are so excited and filled with zeal daily reading the word, praying and fasting faithfully. Somehow, along the way all that zeal has now fizzled away and you are not enthused about spending time in prayer. You are not reading, neither studying the word anymore. Fasting? It is not even on your list of priorities anymore. Anger, bitterness and resentment now surround you. Suffering so much, with one devastating blow after the other. Loved ones have been taken away, home and vehicle has been taken and if that wasn’t enough your only income is gone. Brokenness, loneliness, heartache and pain, penetrates your very being. You may ask, “God my Father where are you?” If you are in the process of giving up on life, you can listen to the comforting voice of Abba Father, take a bold step of faith towards His loving arms. Rebuilding strengthens your faith in God your Abba Father. Allow him to stir you that you may grow. Restoration, healing and deliverance will take place in your life. Your emotions are now stable. The work of the Holy Spirit is evident in the Rebuilding of your spirit. The Lord, who provides for you, is making every provision to meet your needs. Rebuilding, God’s way, is bringing hope and healing for your broken heart. God’s divine presence is taking away your loneliness, and your pain is now turning to joy. Rebuilding 107

POSTURE During early years of childhood, parents consistently remind their children to sit up straight, when sitting. Upon standing they are to stand tall, and walk straight. Absolutely no slouching was tolerated. Great emphasis is put on “Posture”, so much so that there are undergarments of every kind to enhance your “Posture”. Having good posture is also important to your health, especially your bones. Yes, proper diet plays a major role in your posture too, along with some form of exercise and sufficient rest and relaxation. In your walk with God “Posture” is also vital to your growth and spiritually development. Prayer is the “Posture” of your spiritual life. There are times when you are faced with many adversities, experiencing many roadblocks and great opposition in our posture with Abba Father. It is very important during these times of great trials, to allow the engrafted word of God to sustain you in your posture. Hebrews 4:1416, “Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the son of God, let us hold fast our profession. 15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities, but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in times of need”. Begin to worship your Abba Father during the difficult times and remain prayerful. Is it easy? The answer is no, but it is worth it to put on the garment of praise in your “Posture” of prayer. Let the fruit of your lips praise your heavenly father for renewing reviving and sustaining you through His word. I challenge you to maintain your “Posture” before God and men that in spite of the disappointing times in your life that you will keep your prayer posture. For it does not matter how much pain you must bear, nor how severe the storms of life. There is an assurance of God’s word, Isaiah 26:3 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is 110

stayed on thee”. There will be some days that you may not have enough strength to pray and you may not even know what to pray for, but the comfort of God’s word reminds you in Romans 8:26-27 “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God”. For a healthy “Posture” in Christ Jesus always remember that you are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Stay in the Posture of prayer, whether you are standing, sitting, walking, or laying prostrate before Him, Keep on praying. Prayer changes things, and prayer will help you to maintain your Posture before your Abba Father.

: “THE PURIFIER”

here are many methods of Purification to meet our needs, such as drinking water, food, and then there is purification of the body internally and externally. It is an absolute process, which is continual. On a daily basis, we eat an improper diet, consisting of food groups that are harmful to our bodies; we enjoy these meals because they are very tasty; we are sometimes unaware that our systems are becoming very toxic, and in constant need of the purifying methods. As a people, we all have suffered the pain of rejection, being lied on, and betrayed by those closest to us, experiencing abandonment, physical and mental abuse by those whom we love and yes, there is the soreness of regret and remorse. Deep within our souls, there is a cry for purification; there is desperation for “The Purifier” to heal all of the hurts in our aching hearts, and to erase the pain and agony. The purpose today is to allow the Purifier of our heart and soul to purify us. Make a decision now. Admit that you are hurting; next forgive those persons that need your forgiveness. Confess your pain to “The Purifier” now and let it go. “The Purifier” will begin to remove the dross from your heart, not instantly; but you must understand that it is 113

a process, step by step. “The Purifier” completely refines, you while He is processing resulting in your sanctification, which means no relapses, but complete wholeness. Jehovah M’Kaddesh which means the Lord our Sanctification, is the one through Jesus Christ who purifies us from all of our shame and defilement. He is “THE PURIFIER”.

THE NAVIGATOR A beautiful bouncing baby is born today. What joy and excitement this brings to the parents. The doctors bring the grim news that the baby has just been placed in the Intensive care Unit of the Hospital. Something has gone terribly wrong. The beautiful young lady prepared and ready to attend college, receives the Gynecologistâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s report of Malignant Cancer. It is quite frankly devastating; the newly married couple makes a decision to separate. Yes, case after case of heartbreaking situations but wait, there is a ray of hope. It seems distant, yet it is becoming clearer that the baby the Doctors had given up on has revived and is given a second chance to live. The beautiful young woman is cancer free, attending college with a new lease on life. The young coupleâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s marriage has been restored, bringing reconciliation. The Navigator is steering, directing and monitoring every case. He knows your location and the position you may be in. He is highly skilled in the navigation of your life. You may have explored every option and have come up registering empty. Your life may be spiraling out of control, suffering a nervous breakdown. You may be on the brink of bankruptcy with every bill collector knocking at your door. The Navigator steps in repairing every breech, bringing health and healing, providing monies to pay off every outstanding bill, bringing with Him wisdom and understanding, giving to you new business strategies with visions of new ventures, enabling you to trail blaze the path for the next generation to follow. The Navigator of our lives continues to steer you through every storm, and the turbulent times of your life. During times of great opposition and persecution when you yourself could not understand, the Navigator directed you safely through. DIVINE DELAYS Enthusiasm and zeal flows through you as you receive a prophetic word for your life. This word is so timely for what you are experiencing, hearing how God your Father is about to bless and prosper you is just what you need. With great expectancy, you are looking for the manifestation, with the evidence of prosperity believing God for a turn around in your life. Day after day, you are looking with hope for your situations to change, in fact nothing changes, instead they become worse. You become despondent at first, complaining and becoming frustrated. Very gently, you are reminded of Godâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s divine delays. It is only a test. Quickly you learn that God your Father has a set time and a purpose for every thing, and for every circumstance that concerns you. This is a time of waiting in your life. God is teaching you patience, perseverance and building a strong character, within you releasing a firm Faith in Him! Every Divine Delay is necessary, with the understanding that God your Father is working everything out for your good. These Divine Delays are to sharpen and equip you to bring you into the maturity of Christ Jesus. Strengthening you to withstand the difficult times, and to give you perseverance to endure suffering and the discipline to overcome every temptation. Teaching you to make great sacrifices, being patient with a good attitude, showing kindness and displaying love in hostile situations, waiting while your Heavenly Father is establishing your heart, knowing that in spite of divine delays, God will fulfill everything He has promised concerning you.

THE INNER MAN We dress and attire ourselves from head to toe with style and elegance, fully clothed to suit every occasion. Feeling very confident and good about ourselves that everything is in tact. We are on our way to celebrate for a worthy cause and thinking about what a good time we are going to have. Daily our schedules are busy and very hectic, yet we manage to exercise, complete household chores, watch television, plus fit in a movie or two. There is also time for telephone conversations, to surf the internet, and yes, time for rest and more recreation. We also attend church regularly. The days turn into weeks and the months become years, and we are still feeling incomplete. In spite of the exciting activities, something is still missing. What is it? It is the inner Man, the real you, your inner man. Somehow we have forgotten about him. Just as, our outer selves need adorning, maintenance and care, the “Inner Man” needs constant prayer and the word of God, to meditate on day and night. It is not an easy task to take care of the inner man. In fact it is a struggle, for we find that each time we attempt to read the scriptures, we are falling asleep. We kneel to pray feeling so weary and once again, we find ourselves sleeping. This is not intentional, knowing what is right, we still find ourselves doing what is wrong. The Inner Man is constantly fighting with our outer man but there is an antidote, your Saviour Jesus Christ, He is the solution for us. Accepting Him as our personal Saviour today, is a guarantee of true happiness, and complete joy in everything that we do. I challenge you today to nurture your inner man with consistent prayer, giving to him a steady diet of the word, daily boosters of praise to your Heavenly Father, purposing in your heart to deny yourself by giving up a few meals to fast before the Lord. You will discover your inner man growing by leaps and bounds. By keeping your motives pure you will have the understanding that the “INNER MAN” is You! 121

STANDING IN THE GAP There are times in all of our lives that we experience what feels like crushing blows, one after the other. During these times, just as you are about to give up, strength and courage springs up mightily from within. The tears that was flowing down your cheeks ceases. You begin to feel joy again, and thoughts of hope return. The realization suddenly jolts you and you realize that someone has been standing in the gap and praying persistently and consistently for you. Yes, God Himself has assigned intercessors to pray for us day and night, Standing in the Gap, being instrumental in our many breakthroughs, healing and deliverances. It is so reassuring that Jesus Christ Himself is making intercessions for us. He is “Standing in the Gap” for all of us, for He is our high priest. I encourage you today to get up, take that step of faith, kneel, sit, or stand right where you are right now and pray, for Jesus Christ is “STANDING IN THE GAP” for you!

THE RADAR Definition of Radar: A Radio System that detects the presence, position, and speed of such objects as ships, aircrafts, and vehicles. (Radio Detection and Ranging). The battle against crime is intensifying with the traffic of illegal drugs on the increase. There is an outcry of murder in our cities, and mothers are mourning the loss of their sons and daughters. Domestic violence is escalating while the sin of lawlessness is out of control. Night after night you lay upon your bed tossing and turning, unable to sleep, getting up, pacing the floor, until the â&#x20AC;&#x153;weeâ&#x20AC;? hours of the morning feeling the pain, of your world falling apart. With a sinking feeling in the depth of your being. You force yourself to fall asleep. You are awakened suddenly by an unusual sound. It is a signal transmitting a very unusual message. It seems to be operating through the radio. Now you are alert, listening attentively, the message echoes, the Radar has detected the presence, of the enemy. It is not your sister or your brother. No it is not your husband, nor your wife, neither your friends, nor the persons whom you may dislike. Are you ready for this? Your enemy is Satan and his demons. They have positioned themselves, and have setup road blocks and deadly ambushes of discouragement, to derail you off course. The mission is to stop you from fulfilling your purpose and reaching your destination. The Radar is sounding the alarm, it is time for every man, woman, boy and girl to pray. Prayer is the most powerful weapon against Satan and his forces. The Radar is signaling day and night, for men and women of God to stop tossing and turning upon their beds. Yes the Radar is transmitting to us to discontinue pacing the floors, and falling helplessly back to sleep. There is a clarion call at this very moment for Godly sorrow. It is a call for confession to God for our sins, and then to forsake these sins. Now it is time to allow the Radar signals to provoke us to a righ125

teous indignation; to become fully clothed in the armor of God taking in one hand the shield of faith, and in the other, the sword of the word. Completely armored, we are now ready to battle effectively in prayer, with the assistance of the Radar transmitting. Uncovering every area of our lives that the enemy has taken, we are successful in defeating Satan and his demons, demolishing every strong hold. Smashing the spirit of murder, through effective prayer; the drug trafficking trade will come to an end, mothers and fathers who have lost their sons and daughters will receive justice. We will be able to sleep and have restful nights. It is very important for all of us to remember that this is not a short term battle. This is a daily battle; understand that “the radar” will continue to alert you to pray every day. Stay alert at all times remain in the word, renew your mind constantly, spend much time alone with God, gather your families together and pray with them often. We must continue to love one another, in spite of our faults and failures. Be there for each other. Remember the Radar transmitter has an all seeing eye, and an ear that hears everything you say. “The Radar is Jehovah Tsebaoth the Lord of Host!” Under His command you are a mighty warrior of great authority and ability. He has made you more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ.

THE THERMOSTAT Definition of Thermostat: A device used to regulate temperature. In a crowded room, filled with fun and excitement, the air conditioning system seemed to have malfunctioned; it has suddenly gotten rather stuffy and unbearably hot. Some people are now irritable, and some are complaining angrily that the air conditioning system was never any good. Others just simply leave in total disappointment, feeling cheated of their fun and excitement. The air conditioning expert is called in almost immediately. Upon arrival he quickly discovers that The Thermostat is the problem; its timer had failed resulting in a heated room. This problem is quickly corrected however, many people have already left, yet there is still a substantial amount, who in turn, feels relieved that the room temperature is now just right. The fun and excitement resumes. In your daily walk with God, you experience what feels like fiery trials, which seems almost unbearable. You begin searching, trying to find a solution, but you find none. You experience sickness, heartache and grief, not to mention, the many disappointing setbacks. As you sit there feeling all alone, thinking how could God allow these things to happen? Anger seeps through, followed by your bitter complaints to God. The tears then begin to flow down your cheeks, as you feel the warmth and love of your Heavenly Father. He kindly speaks, “My child I am The Thermostat, these trials are necessary to purify you. With the understanding that whenever, you experience illness of any sort, when your heart is broken and filled with sorrow. I am with you in the midst of your disappointments, during your loneliest times, I am with you.” Yes the God of all comfort is with you in all that you are going through. He is “The Thermostat” in every situation that you are experiencing. What an assurance to know that The Thermostat knows just how much each of us can bear. 128

Each of us are unique individuals with a purpose and destiny on the inside. â&#x20AC;&#x153;The Thermostatâ&#x20AC;? in His wisdom allows just enough heat in our lives to propel us to our destiny. It is so easy to walk away from your destination. You can become bitter and so weary to the point of giving up. I challenge you today not to give up. Allow the heat of The Thermostat to purify you, staying in that place where God has planted you. Remain there until He releases you. He will adjust the temperature in your life. Wait for your Change.

COINS A young lady is elated. She has just gotten the news that, she is now a millionaire, inheriting over one million dollars in coins. With no money management skills, and having no wise counsel, the woman decides to trade in the coins for their cash value and live It up. She reasons within herself you only live once. Meanwhile the wild spending sprees increases, with no accountability. After six months all of the “coins” and the million dollars are now no more, the young woman weeps and mourns bitterly over her unwise decisions. Jesus tells us in the book of Luke chapter 15:8, of a woman who had ten pieces of silver coins. Just the mere thought of losing one of these coins, this woman knowing the value of one of them, she would light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently until she finds that one Coin. Further, this woman, after finding her lost coin, calls all of her friends and neighbours to celebrate with her. What a contrast. It is so important for us to understand that our lives consists of more than the material wealth we may possess, and that without the presence of God in our lives, life can become a roller coaster ride. We must understand that without Christ at the center of our lives, there is no real joy, and our purpose becomes distorted. “Coins” being plentiful, will lose their value, and the many foiled attempts to obtain them will become tiresome. The lost souls in this world, including all of those who have given up on God your Abba Father, you are like precious coins and God is searching you out. He has an extraordinary Love for you. He knows that you are in despair; He feels your grief and your pain. Yes, He is aware of your inner struggles. The heart of Abba Father grieves over your condition be assured this day, that salvation and restoration is yours, today. Receive Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour and make him Lord of your life, which is equivalent to coins worth more than millions of dollars. 131

THE DENIAL A beautiful bouncing baby girl is born to an unwed mother. What joy and happiness fills her heart. However, this happiness is short lived, the baby’s father seemed to have skipped town. Yes he has run away from his responsibilities, leaving behind a broken hearted woman, whose hopes and dreams of marriage to him is flatly denied. Deep within the heart of this woman, who really loves this handsome dashing young gentleman? She has faith in him that he will return to her with an explanation. Days and weeks go by and finally after three months, her knight in shining armor shows up to see his wonderful baby girl. Holding the baby girl in his arms, he looks intently at her turning to her mother he blurts out, “This baby is not my own.” He disowns the child. What pain and agony grips the heart of this young mother. Her baby girl has been denied of her father’s love, his presence, and his surname. What an awful blow and a grim future for this beautiful baby girl. The heartbroken mother tries to pick-up the pieces. With no place to live and another baby to care for in Denial she suffers a nervous breakdown, leaving this baby with neither mother, nor father to care and nurture her. The compassionate heart of the baby’s grandmother rushes to the rescue. This baby that has been denied the love of her father, and really because of her mother’s illness, she has been denied the nurturing and care by her mother. The denial is too much to bear for the grandmother. This denial by the baby’s father has caused so much grief and pain. In the book of Matthew 26 Jesus is betrayed and arrested, and found guilty of death, in spite of his innocence. They spat on Jesus, struck and slapped, him while others mocked him. Yet Peter one of Jesus’ disciples, denied him. Matthew 26:69-70 says, “Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him saying, ‘Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee’. 70 But he denied before them all, saying, 133

I know not what thou sayest.” Further on Peter doesn’t stop his denial of Jesus here. In v.71-75 Peter’s denial continues. “And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, this fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth. 72 And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man. 73 And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them: for thy speech betrayeth thee. 74 Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew. 75 And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, before the cock crows, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out and wept bitterly.” Yes, Peter had just denied vehemently three times that he did not know Jesus. Peter’s first denial, he acted as though he was confused, by changing the subject, trying to divert attention from himself. His second denial was with an oath, and his third and final denial, Peter started cursing and swearing that he did not know Jesus. The baby girl was denied the love and presence of her father. Are you denying the Father of His love and presence in your life? As a Christian or as a believer in Jesus Christ, do you subtly pretend not to know him? Do you allow opportunities to discuss religious issues pass you by, pretending not to know the answer? Are you ashamed to talk about Jesus to your friends, or your peers? If you are, be very careful you could be on the road to Denial of Jesus Christ, the one who suffered, bled and died that you may have an abundant life. Let us take consistent inventory of our daily lives, using the necessary measures to live up to our commitments to God, our spouses and children. It is also very important to become involved in community activities impacting people’s lives. Let this day be your last and final day of Denial. Purpose in your heart to honor your commitments.

THE ANTIDOTE Sick with an unusual fever Doctors prescribed the medication and says, “Stay in bed, and drink lots of fluid”. The fever persists, the antidote is needed. Mama comes up with the antidote to give you relief from this awful virus. In bushes not far away there are medicine trees of every kind. Revelation 22:2 “And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations”. Yes, mamma brews her mixture of leaves together. The instructions are one cupful twice a day. Wow, sure enough the Antidote works for just about any sickness. But wait, in our daily lives we have a sin problem which is eating away at the very core of our being. It is evident in our society with the slogan “If it feels good do it”. Mommy and daddy are doing their own thing; children have become rebellious and very opinionated. The cost of living has risen tremendously, and crime is on the increase. There are crimes of murder, rape, incest, burglary and white collar crimes. The Antidote is needed. People’s hearts are failing them. Many are losing hope, and are giving up. A quick fix is needed, yet there are no quick fixes, no short cuts. The Antidote to all of our social ills, our sinful actions and ungodly living is the gift of Salvation. The word tells us in the Gospel of John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.” The time is now to forsake and confess our sins to God our Heavenly Father. It is time to put into practice our daily confession of Jesus Christ. This is “The Antidote” to our sinful condition. We must practice what we preach and sing about; it is time for us to live what we testify about daily. The Antidote invades and stops every indulgence in sinful pleasure, counteracting every lying, deceiving slogan, bringing to a 136

halt crimes of every kind, even reducing the cost of living making it possible to reach the masses. Mommy and daddy are now living life Godâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s way. The Antidote has now spread into the childrenâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s lives and they are now patterning after mommy and daddy. The Antidote has brought restoration and deliverance from every addiction, and crime is now on the decrease. Men and women who are wondering aimlessly through life are awakening to the truth concerning themselves. The Antidote has brought their purpose into view with an urgency to go forth walking to their destination. There is hope for your future. The Antidote has brought a healing balm, bringing reconciliation making your path clear to walk into your purpose. Yes, the Antidote is with you each step of the way, encouraging you each time you falter, and will not allow, you to fall. In your lonely hours the Antidote extends his Grace to you, imparting His strength and peace, illuminating you with his light motivating you to go on. The Antidote is Jesus Christ Himself. Will you accept his free gift of Salvation today? It is a simple step of faith, confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that, Jesus died for your sins, now invite Jesus Christ into your heart to stay, and make him Lord and Saviour of your life. Get this, without The Antidote Jesus Christ, you are not equipped to fulfill your purpose and reach your destiny. Do not procrastinate another day, allow the Antidote Jesus Christ to be Lord and Saviour of your life today and fulfill your purpose, walking into your destiny.

CHAPTER FIVE

: “HOME RUN”

wo popular teams are in the playoffs. The losing team gains an opportunity to win with bases being loaded, and the pitcher having just pitched a ball that is so incredible, making it possible for the next batter to hit a “‘Home Run”. The fans are cheering and the cheerleaders are encouraging the players as they run on, to home base. What a “Home Run”. This baseball team is going to the Major League. You are on the home stretch of your purpose and destiny, and you are about to hit a “‘Home Run”. The word of God is speaking strongly within, reminding you that you are not alone on this home stretch. Many have reached their “Home Run” and now they are encouraging you. They are cheering you to exercise patience, and longevity, on this home stretch, with the understanding that you must give up everything that weighs you down, endangering your relationship with your Abba Father. Let it go! It is such a comfort to know that through the power of the Holy Spirit and the word of God, you shall triumph over sin. With your eyes steadfast on Jesus, your feet will not stumble, nor fall. For God has given you feet like hinds feet, with an unction to function, enduring intense hardship and trials. You must remain focused because a “Home Run” is in view. It is the most difficult time in your 139

life, yet purpose and destiny is calling you. Abba Father will enlighten your understanding. These difficulties and discouragement will enable you to hit a “Home Run”. I encourage you to endure the difficulties and the immense suffering. Be faithful to Abba Father and keep on running, exercise your faith in all that you do. Run in obedience, being fully committed to the service of God. You have just arrived at your destination. What is even more incredible this “Home Run” is bringing transformation through the power of God. Lost souls are receiving salvation, and backsliders are being set free all around the world. Always remember that all the Glory and honour belongs to Abba Father.

GATEWAY One hundred and fifty youths are filled with great anticipation. They had just flown from their “Gateway” in Freeport, Grand Bahama to the Miami International Airport, the “Gateway” to the world. Their destination was Houston, Texas to attend a Youth Conference with their counterparts from all around the world. At the football Stadium, hundreds gathered at the “Gate Way: to pay and present their tickets at the box office. Crowds of people were filled with enthusiasm and looking forward to a thrilling time at the game. In your daily walk with God, there is a Gateway that leads to your spiritual growth. It is a powerful weapon that God has given to you. Prayer is the vehicle that propels you to your purpose and destiny, yet this ‘Gateway’ is often locked up. The truth is you desire to open the ‘Gateway’ of prayer, but you are often hindered by the weariness and fatigue of the mind and body. Slumbering and sleeping most of the time you fall prey to these and many more hindrances, leaving you on the outside of this Gateway of prayer. Unlocking this Gateway will lead you to a richer and fuller life in Christ Jesus. During the turbulent and disturbing times of your life, you are buffed about, filled with sadness and despair. In the midst of these times Abba Father steps in through the work of the Holy Spirit, taking you by the hand, leading you to the ‘Gateway’ of prayer, pouring His oil of anointing upon you, crushing every hindrance; unlocking the Gateway through intercession, tapping into the realm of the Spirit and lifting the heavy burden off your shoulders. This encounter awakens hunger and a thirsting for the presence of God. You are now excited, looking forward to using the “Gate Way” of prayer. Feeling the touch of the Master’s hand of mercy as he very gently awakens you with an invitation to spend time alone in His presence. Rising up 142

rather quickly, running hastily just to hear your Abba Father speak to you as you listen attentively for His instructions and counsel for the day. You are now unlocking the ‘Gate Way’ through prayer soaring on to new dimensions. Prayer is equipping you to leap over the mountainous terrains in your life. Enabling you to praise and worship Abba Father, through Jesus Christ, in spite of your valley low experiences. With a heart filled with gratitude and the engrafted word of God, you are being transformed into the very likeness of Christ Jesus. The Gate Way of prayer has propelled you to walk through the process of purification, sanctifying your heart to the truth of God’s word. With the past behind, you are now exercising your faith in God and walking not partially but in complete obedience to the word. On the heights of prayer, purpose and destiny is now in activation. With the strength and endurance of the Lord you will soar to the heights and depths, surfacing, fulfilling your purpose, reaching your destiny. Remember at the ‘Gate Way’ it is vital to use the only key that can unlock its gate and that is prayer. Prayer is the Gate Way to fulfilling your purpose.

DETERMINATION The popular road runner seeing the finish line is delighted. When suddenly pain grips his right ankle, causing him to grimace in immense agony, yet with great Determination, he presses forward crossing the finish line. He finishes second place, He is of course disappointed with his results. He purposes in his heart with great Determination that at the next race, first place will be his. In the book of Luke chapter 19 tells of a man named Zacchaeus, who was a chief Tax Collector and very rich, Zacchaeus really wanted to see Jesus; he was interested in getting to know Jesus. His interest turned into a great Determination. The crowd was great and Zacchaeus was short in stature. His determination caused him to run ahead of the crowd and to climb up into a sycamore tree to catch a glimpse of Jesus. What a pleasant surprise Zacchaeus received when Jesus came to the place where he was, he looked up and saw him and said to him, Luke 19:5 â&#x20AC;&#x153;Zacchaeus make haste and come down, for today I must abide at thy house.â&#x20AC;? Zacchaeus received the gift of salvation that day; he willingly paid restitution and repented of his sins. Do you have Determination to get up out of the muddy situation that you are in? Are you determined to win the battle against any sin in your life through Christ? In the midst of your circumstances and situations, are you driven like Zacchaeus to see Jesus? Will you invite Him into your heart and into your life? He is waiting to restore and heal you, lifting you above the shadows of life and into the light of your destiny. Exercise your faith with discipline and obedience to the word of God. Hold on, and be strong. With Determination and the strength of the Lord, you will triumph over every foe, for the battle has already been won and you are the Victor through Jesus Christ, who girds you daily with strength.

RESURRECTION Looking through your window staring blankly, contemplating packing your family and leaving your husband without a note or even a goodbye. The marriage seemed to have died. The teenage boy hides himself from his parents and siblings and in desperation, he lights up a marijuana (joint) without the realization that he is in full view of his neighbours. The young boy’s interest in school and functioning in home life has died. Siblings have inherited generational properties. Yet their relationship dies because of their constant fighting over the properties. In your walk with God, you will discover that even though you have a relationship with Jesus Christ, there are some areas in your life that need Resurrection. Relationships have been broken, marriages have been breeched. The hurt and pain have become unbearable. Knowing of no other way to deal with it, you have buried your relationship, friendships, and your marriage instead of dealing with each situation through prayer; and forgiveness. You need the Resurrection power of Jesus Christ in your daily life. In the book of Luke 7:11-17, “Now it happened, the day after that He went into the city call Nain; and many of His disciples went with Him, and a large crowd, 12 and when He came near the gate of the city, behold a dead man was being carried and the only son of his mother, and she was a widow and a large crowd from the city was with her. 13 And the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.” 14 Then He came and touched the open coffin and those who carried him stood still, and He said, “Young man, I say to you arise.” 15 So he who was dead sat up and began to speak. And he presented him to his mother. 16 Then fear came upon all and they glorified God saying, “A great prophet has risen up among us, and God 147

has visited His people”. 17 And this report about Him went throughout all Judea and all the surrounding region.” The time is now to allow your heart to be stirred by the compassion of Jesus Christ. He is the Resurrection and the Life. Yes, He is knocking at your heart’s door. Can you hear him? Reluctantly you’ve just let Jesus into your heart. With Resurrection power and authority, hatred, anger, bitterness, unforgiveness and jealousy are beginning to surface, but wait, there is more, old grudges of the past that have now surfaced. What a deadly mixture. Jesus, the Resurrection churns and tosses these out of your heart, restoring love, joy, peace, patience, kindness and compassion. Now with confidence and a real assurance that these dead things aforementioned will never need this Resurrection again. They are gone forever. You are now free to pay restitution, which will bring reconciliation and restoration. Abba Father can now pour into you His Resurrection power through Jesus Christ. His healing balm has healed your hurt and pain. The Resurrection is repairing every breech. Allow the Resurrection power of Jesus Christ to be revealed in your life today!

SALT Salt is the mineral which is sodium chloride, a white crystalline substance which is used mainly for seasoning and as a preservative. In the book of Job 6:6; Job says, “Can that which is unsavory be eaten without salt. Or is there any taste in the white of an egg?” Salt is a necessity of life. Jesus said in Matthew 5:13 “Ye are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has lost its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is therefore good for nothing but to be cast out and to be trodden under the foot of men.” If you and I, through Jesus Christ, make no effort to affect the world around us, then we are of little value to God. Yes if we as believers in Christ Jesus become too much like the world we will loose all of our salt, rendering us worthless and having no effect on the lives of others. The time has come for each of us to take inventory of our lives as “salt”. Are we just blending in with everyone else? Have we as Christians become too much like the world? What about the way we treat each other, are we affecting those we encounter daily in a positive way. I challenge you to allow the “Salt” of God to bring out the treasures that are buried inside. Allow these gifts from Abba Father to impact each life you touch for Christ. Just as seasoning brings out the flavor in food, “Salt” is a necessity in our daily lives.

THE POMEGRANATE The hem of Aaron’s robe was decorated with blue, purple, and red pomegranates. In the book of Exodus 28:3334, “And beneath upon the hem of it thou shalt make pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and round about the hem thereof; and bells of gold between them round about. 34 A golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, upon the hem of the robe round about”. King Solomon decorated the temple of God, with the likeness of the Pomegranate. The Pomegranate is a round sweet fruit. It is green when young and turns red when ripe, there are also many edible seeds inside. The Pomegranate since its cultivation in Palestine and Egypt from ancient times, grew as a bush or a small tree, reaching a remarkable height of about thirty feet, with small, lance shaped leaves. The blossoms were bright red. The fruit usually ripened in August or September. On the highway of life, with distractions of every kind. We encounter many enticements, subtleties, and pass many danger zones, there is a straight and narrow road, that beckons travelers of the highway to make a decision to travel this road. On this road you will reach your destination. Yes you can liken yourself to the Pomegranate. Abba Father through Jesus Christ will cultivate you, which will result in you growing by leaps and bounds. You will reach your ultimate destiny, bearing fruit not only in season, but in every season of your life. The fruit that you are bearing in your life, through the work of the Holy Spirit, is now impacting lives all across the globe like “The Pomegranate”. What a sweet smelling sacrifice to your Abba Father. Like the Pomegranate, stay in the house of God, pray often, pray consistently, allow the word to be engrafted in your spiritman. TUNNEL Definition of Tunnel: A passage way cut through a hill or cliff side or underground, sea or a river. Workmen assigned to the task of securing an underground tunnel, are very enthusiastic about the strategic plans. They assess the site, securing specialty equipment, with safety precautions as a number one priority The men understand, that it will take much time and consistent work to complete the Tunnel, of course the workers are paid well for their labour, and are given periodic incentives to encourage them. A few of the workers experience fatigue and weariness midway through the Tunnel. Some even quit, saying it was taking too long to finish. Then there were those who became disoriented and experienced accidents on the site, injuring themselves. Many of the workmen were even fired for insubordination. Still many persevere. Soon the Tunnel is completed. In our daily lives we experience problems of every kind. They are like mountains, that are almost impossible to deal with. Sickness, especially chronic ones, rebellious children, marital problems, financial problems, losing loved ones, addictions of every kind, unforgiveness, generational curses, fears and torments of our past lives, and the list can go on. It will take the strategy of God our Abba Father, who assesses our location; He then through His Son Jesus Christ, in conjunction with the work of the Holy Spirit, specializing in prayer makes intercessions for you and me. Enabling us to cut through the chronic sicknesses, speaking blessing on those rebellious children, displaying love to that estranged spouse, receiving money management skills, tunneling through to financial stability. Through the work of the Holy Spirit we are enabled to cope with the deep loss of loved ones. We find no more pleasure in addictions. Soon they 157

LINT FREE Definition of Lint: Bits of loose threads, fluff etc. The question is, have you ever put a garment into the washer with a load of clothes, having a feeling that it could spoil the whole wash but you take the risk anyway, hoping that it would be okay. The washer has just completed its cycle of washing and rinsing. Now, with great anticipation, examining the clothing, you discover that the whole load of clothes is filled with Lint. Some are not able to be worn anymore, because of the fluff that is all over them, immediately you remove the faulty garments and redo the whole wash. Most of the wash is restored yet some are not fit to wear. A lesson is learnt here, do not take short cuts in doing the laundry, and some clothing are to be washed separately so that the clothing will be “Lint Free”. We sometimes allow sin to invade our lives, just as that one piece of clothing spoiled the whole wash, causing “Lint” to spoil the clothing. Sin in our lives is like Lint on clothing Sin changes people, it often appears attractive. Genesis 3:16, “Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. Sin effects also spreads as Lint does in the wash cycle. The seriousness of sin is that it breaks fellowship with God, our Abba Father; and to make matters worse, we try to excuse it by blaming others. We must be mindful that disobedience to God is sin. Even a small amount of sin can become deadly. Remember sin spread from Adam and Eve and is even reaching us today. ‘Small’ sins can grow out of control and what is even worse; it grieves the heart of God. Sin affects all of us. Romans 3:23 “For all sinned and come short of the glory of God”, but don’t despair there is a remedy for sin. It is the Good news of Salvation. Jesus paid the price for our sins; he was marred beyond recognition for you and me. He suffered bled and died, enduring our shame and humiliation. He had thirty-nine stripes for our healing. We don’t have to fall prey to sin because of the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Invite him to live in your heart today. Your life can be Lint Free from the ravishes of sin. BURIED TREASURE It is a known fact that there are treasures buried beneath the sea. There are expedition teams that go on fact finding missions. They assess the site of the Buried Treasure and devise a plan to retrieve the Treasure from the ocean’s floor. With great diligence and determination, sparing no cost, these expeditions are often very successful, bringing to the surface the Buried Treasure whose value is of a rare kind. The hard work and dedication reaps big dividends. You and me were born with a purpose to fulfill. There is Buried Treasures that is locked up on the inside of each of us; waiting to be released. Working from nine am to five pm, earning a fairly good salary is very good. You may be working on a shift job with great benefits. Yet you are feeling as if something is missing however, you cannot really pinpoint what it really is. Whatever working environment you may be in and you are feeling this way, I submit to you, that purpose and destiny is calling you. The Buried Treasure on the inside of you is ready to be released to the world. The time has come for you to fulfill your purpose. Understand that only through God’s divine plan, can you truly know your purpose. Are you willing to accept God, your Abba Father’s plan of Salvation? 2 Cor. 4:7, “But we have this treasure in earthen vessel, that the Excellency of the power may be of God and not of us.” Yes, the Buried Treasure is the power of God dwelling in you through Jesus Christ. In spite of your frailties and weaknesses in the midst of suffering, humiliations and trials of every kind. God is bringing you to the place where you can recognize that it is His power that sustains you and that all Glory and honour belongs to Him. Yes, even when you are at your lowest point and feel that you cannot go on, God is stirring the hidden Treasure buried on the inside. He is teaching you that the power that is hidden on the inside is His and not yours, He is keeping you from pride. 163

The Buried Treasure begins to surface with compassion and love for the lost, despised and rejected. The Buried Treasure of laying on of hands to heal the sick and afflicted through the power of God. The Buried Treasure seems endless. A well is springing up within you, flowing out rivers of living water to all who come into contact with you. GIVEN BIRTH A young expectant mother receives the exciting news from her gynecologist that she is pregnant with twins. In spite of this happy news, there is a period of nine months of pregnancy, which isn’t an easy time. This expectant mother experiences much sickness and discomfort throughout her trimesters. However, she experiences the warmth and love of relatives and friends, which makes it more bearable. The due date arrives, the twin babies are here, a bouncing baby boy is born. However, many hours have passed and the second twin does not emerge. At last the other baby is born. Wait something seems to be very wrong. This second baby seems smaller and slower. The young mother is not overly concerned, she is thankful to her Heavenly Father that she has “Given Birth”. She trusts God to take care of the twins. The first twin grows by leaps and bounds, very quickly. With instructions from the heavenly Father, He begins to help his twin, teaching him how to strive and grow. Get this; this twin ministry becomes a force to reckon with. The drug addicts, the prostitutes, the pimps and the drug dealers are being delivered. The gang members are turning in their weapons and are confessing Jesus Christ as their Savior, the hurting and wounded souls are being healed. The abused and the abuser are being delivered and restored. News Flash, marriages are being restored, generational curses are being broken, and lives are being transformed by the engrafted word of God. In pursuit of your purpose and destiny there is a process that brings you to a place in God where you have “Given Birth”. It is your walk and spending time alone with Abba Father, consistently studying and meditating on the Word; making prayer a lifestyle so that God’s Words, can be engrafted into your heart. od your Abba Father, will allow you to go through a process of humiliation experiencing, pain and sickness, with many setbacks for a purpose. Encountering many valley experiences, yet through it all you have remained steadfast, your faith has not wavered. Praise is continually on your lips with a compassionate and forgiving heart, rekindled with love for your fellowmen and women. Survivor and yet even more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ, you have weathered the storms of life. Even the tornadoes that hit you so hard, you overcame those too, through the blood of the Lamb. Restoration, reconciliation, and the healing balm of Gilead has visited your household. You persevered, and travailed through prayer and fasting, surrendering in complete obedience to God. Yes, you have endured the ridicule and the shame. You’ve felt the pain of rejection and the jeering, from those around you. Knowing very well that they did not understand what God was doing in your life. The pain and agony has brought you to a place of complete forgiveness and love, Agape love. Giving to you the awareness, with the understanding that you must always 187

walk in humility, with a heart filled with compassion for others which will impact lives all across the globe, with the love of Christ, especially those that are in your home. The Divine hand of God has released and refined you, bringing stability to every area of your life. This is the place of your purpose and destiny, the place of total and complete surrender. There are no highs and lows in this place. It is a daily walk of faith, in complete dependence on your Heavenly Father. In this place miracles are unfolding. The lame are walking, the dumb are speaking. The blind receive their sight. The deaf are hearing the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ. The dead are even rising to life. Yet there are still greater works to be done. With great expectancy you look forward to a transforming Revival all across the nation, breaking down every denominational barrier of every race and culture. Yes this Revival will transform your life. The time has come for you to soar as an eagle. It is time to allow God your Abba Father to use you as His instrument for greater works to be manifested through you.
