Do you know turnips and stubble turnips, parsnips and burdock root, orache, purslane, winter cress and stag horn plantain? These forgotten vegetables and herbs grow in a popular organic-quality plant nursery in the National park. This nursery is located on part of the ‘Tauernweg’ cycling track in Pirtendorf, a small local community in Stuhlfelden. Cultivation takes place the whole year round in so called geothermal foil houses. Many customers value the quality of our produce and are therefore willing to pay a bit more for it. We also welcome guests, who would like to broaden their horizon by taking in our hints to assist with their own grown garden and obtain information on healing herbs and tea herbs.

This is the motto, of the festival tent at the foot of the Kitzsteinhorn (car park Schaufelberg). A unique festival under the sign of the unmistakable, legendary music style “from Austria” - refined by current interpretations and interpretations.
The Women’s Trail starts on Friday with the legendary headlamp run. 5 km and 300 altitude metres must be managed during Women’s Night. The route along the beautiful Lake Zell seems like a walk in the evening. On Saturday, there are already 786 altitude metres to be conquered on the Women’s Panorama Trail. The 15,3 km long trail run offers a selective route and a trail with stunning views to the mountain world and Lake Zell. For those who prefer a shorter route on Saturday, there is a slight variant with 7.6 km and 243 altitude metres. At the end of the Women’s Trail Running Weekend there is another highlight for you. The route of 13 km and around 180 altitude metres boasts amazing views and the most beautiful trails of the Zell am See-Kaprun sports region. The Trail Queen of the Women’s Trail 2018 will be sought and found just like in the previous years.

More than 65 million people from around the globe have visited the Grossglockner High-Alpine Road in the last 80 years. It is a gigantic piece of construction, leading over the Alps in a series of 36 hairpin bends and since 2015 it is a protected monument. Thunderous waterfalls, vast panoramas and snowfields in high summer make any visit to this road an unforgettable experience. It draws you up into high-alpine regions, where generally only hardened alpinists would ever make their way on foot. Especially imposing are the encounters with animals you would otherwise only ever see in a zoo: marmots, ibex and golden eagles can all be seen roaming freely.
PRIMAL HIGH-ALPINE LANDSCAPES Amongst the highlights of any drive is the Panorama Stage of the road, some ten kilometers long at elevations above 2400 m: Virtually at eye-level, you are confronted by the Grossglockner and its glacial fields. You can even hike out onto the Pasterze along secured pathways: This virgin landscape, with its eternal ice and glacial snout, is magical. KaiserFranz-Josefs-Höhe offers a variety of attractions on four floors, including exhibitions and a cinema. Close by, in the Wilhelm Swarovski Observation Station, cutting-edge optical equipment lets you watch mountain climbers and wildlife. SUMMER SNOWBALL FIGHTS Fun isn’t neglected on the road either. At the Alpine Nature Show Museum, there’s an enjoyable marmot show, with numerous exhibitions, theme paths and playgrounds along the road inviting you to discover something new or walk around in the open-air soaking in the marvelous natural scenery and views of the surrounding 3,000ers. Sliding down a hillside or a snowball fight in summer are always unforgettable holiday fun. At 2,571 meters, the Edelweiss-Peak isn’t just the road’s highest point, it is also the highest point in Austria reachable by car.

In November 2011, Viennese coffeehouse culture was officially included in the UNESCO National Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage. According to UNESCO’s statement: typical for Viennese Coffeehouses are marble tables, on which the coffee is served, Thonet chairs, boxes (loges), newspaper tables and interior design details in the Historicism style. The coffee houses are a place where time and space are consumed, but only coffee is found on the bill. Julius Meinl is proud ambassador of the Viennese coffee culture since 1862.

The “Cinema 3000“ promises film enjoyment of top quality: on the eight metre wide screen, the film “Kitzsteinhorn – The Nature“ is shown. The National Park Gallery is a 360 metre long tunnel with information stations, running through the mountain ending with another panorama platform, which geographically situated in the National Park Hohe Tauern: on this magically viewing place, the visitors find themselves on eye view with the Grossglockner and the highest mountains in Austria. In summer there are twice daily and in winter every Tuesday, free guided tours offered by the National Park rangers. With its partner, the Hohe Tauern National Park, the Kitzsteinhorn has a partner contract and close co-operation with the largest reserve in the Alps.

This winter playground with snow beach, sunbeds, slides and snow bar, transforms the visitors at over 3.000 metre above sea level in the middle of summer in a cool world of snow and eternal ice. While the skis are placed in the basement in the summer, hikers and mountain bikers are attracted to the Kitzsteinhorn: guided hikes with the National Park ranger or the Gipfeltour “My first 3.000“ with a certified mountain guide promises a totally special experience. Absolutely spectacular are the three natural mountain bike freeride trails “Geißstein trail”, “Wüstlau Trail” and “Bachler-Trail”, which include a total of up to twelve kilometres in length and 1,500 meters in altitude and count to some of the most challenging what the Salzburg province has to offer on free ride routes.

OVER 50 YEARS KITZSTEINHORN – FREEDOM IN SNOW Since 1965 Kitzsteinhorn has been skied upon: Austria’s first glacier ski area is also the only one in the province of Salzburg and the Kitzsteinhorn was from the beginning on the pioneer in cable ways and ski technique. Those skiing here, follow famous tracks: The world’s elite alpine ski racers have trained over the past five decades on the Kitzsteinhorn. The Kitzsteinhorn is a modern ski resort whose range of offers have over the decades, been constantly expanded: we therefore have wide spacious glacier slopes for winter sportsmen, three snow parks, Austria‘s most exciting super pipe, five free ride routes including avalanche search field and with the Freeride Monday, weekly guided free ride tours, a glacier cross-country track and the two ski tour hiking routes “Schneekönigin“ and “Eisbrecher“. Another special feature is the steep black slope “Black Mamba“with a length of 1.000 metres and 63 percent gradient. On over 3.000 meters above sea level, reigns on the 41 kilometres of slopes from October through to early spring, a snow guarantee. Varied is the Event Winter on Kitzsteinhorn: following the Opening Festival WOW Glacier Love, beginning of November, is among others the Freeride Qualifier X OVER RIDE, the culinary series of events “Hochgenuss“ in the Gipfelrestaurant and the ICE CAMP presented by Audi quattro with spectacular ice art and panorama terrace.

As the highest viewing point in the country, the panorama platform”Top of Salzburg” at 3,029 meters above sea level opened a unique panoramic view of Austria’s highest mountains and the glacier of the Hohe Tauern National Park. It was built for the very reasons why castles were built back then: as retreat, as fortress, as residence of noble families and as status symbol. Kaprun Castle is still a stately building today and takes beholders and visitors back to bygone times. This is of course to perfect venue and event location.

THIS WAS NOT ALWAYS THE CASE That’s because the castle is so old. Having served as a residence and retreat for a number of noble men and women for many centuries, decay took hold of the building quickly in the 20th century. But the town of Kaprun did not want to stand by and let it happen. Thanks to the dedicated Kaprun Castle Society, the former fortress was renovated. Uncontrolled growth and weathering had damaged the walls but not too badly, thus motivated people could renovate and remedy the damages. Kaprun Castle has been restored to its former splendour for many years now and is the proud medieval landmark of Kaprun.

K A I S E R S C H M A R R N كايزر شمارن إعداد فطيــرة العجين, شــكل المكــرر مــن شــمارنز- كايــزر سشــمارن لوصفــة.واحــدة مــن الحلويــات األكثــر شــهرة فــي المطبــخ النمســاوي بعــض الســكر, البيــض, الحليــب, كايــزر شــمارن يخبــز الطحيــن والملــح فــي مقــاة مــع الزبــدة حتــى يصبــح القــاع متماســكا ومــن ثــم . تقســم فــي المقــاة
The Kaiserschmarrn - the simplified form of ‘the Kaiserschmarren’ is the mixture of pancake dough. It is one of Austria’s most popular traditional sweets. The Kaiserschmarrn is made by mixing flour, milk, eggs, salt and sugar in a pan and frying it with butter until the bottom side is a golden brown pancake. The pancake is then sliced into small pieces which makes a Kaiserschmarren.
INGREDIENTS

ملعقة صغيرة من سكر الكريستال2 , ملعقة كبيرة من الزبيب2, ملعقة كبيرة زبدة2 , مل الحليب250 , غرام دقيق ناعم200 , بيضات4 قرصة من الملح1 4 Eggs, 200g fine flour, 250 ml milk, 2 tbsp butter (tablespoons), 2 tbsp raisins, 2 tsp crystal sugar (teaspoons), 1 pinch of salt
P R E P A R A T I O N 1. Seperate the eggs - beat egg whites with a dash of salt until whipped well 2. mix egg yolk and crystal sugar, add milk and flour and stir with a whisk into a fine dough 3. Now fold the beaten egg whites into the dough and mix through well 4. preheat the pan with butter, but the raisins in the pan and then spread out the pancake dough evenly and fry it - flip the pancake over a few times to make each side golden brown. Then cut the pancake into small pieces. 5. sprinkle crystal sugar over the pancake pieces and flip a few times in the pan to caramelise the sugar.
التجهيز فصــل بيــاض البيــض عن صفاره واخفق البياض مع القليل مــن الملح حتى يصبح كالثلج1 ونضيــف الحليــب والدقيــق وتخفــق، نضــع صفــار البيــض فــي وعــاء مــع الســكر الكرســتالي2.بالخفاقــة لمــدة دقيقــة حتــى تتشــكل عجينــة طريــة اآلن نضيــف بيــاض البيــض في العجين و يخلط جيدا3 بعدهــا ننشــر العجيــن بالتســاوي فــي المقــاة, نذيــب الزبــدة فــي المقــاة ثــم نضــع الزبيــب4. يمكنــك تمزيقهــا إلــى قطــع بالشــوكة, ونحــرك حتــى يصبــح كال الجانبيــن لونــه بنــي فاتــح قطع كايزر سشــمارن في المقالة و رش قليال من حبيبات الســكر و الكراميل5-

The latter is completely new to the X3. Thanks to semi-autonomous driving and intelligent four wheel drive, the BMW xDrive offers the X3 maximum driving comfort. In town or in the country: the intelligent BMW personal CoPilot control systems, including lane control assistant and active cruise control, make driving more enjoyable than ever. The BMW TwinPower Turbo engines offer maximum dynamics thanks to the latest injection systems, variable power control and intelligent turbo technology. LESS WEIGHT The car is bigger, but not heavier. BMW achieved this by producing aluminium suspension and engines. The platform is completely new, which results in a weight reduction of about 55 kilos. That’s useful in these times of fuel saving. All engines are linked to an eight-speed Steptronic automatic. VARIATIONS Petrol drivers can choose between two power versions of a two litre turbo: 184 and 252 hp. The diesels will be more popular; a two-litre with 190 and a three-litre with 265 hp. By 2020, a completely electric version of the X3 will be introduced.
